"The Christianity of history is not Protestantism. If ever there were a safe truth it is this, and Protestantism has ever felt it so; to be deep in history is to cease to be a Protestant." (-John Henry Newman, An Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine).

"Where the bishop is, there let the people gather; just as where ever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church". -St. Ignatius of Antioch (ca 110 AD)a martyr later thrown to the lions, wrote to a church in Asia Minor. Antioch was also where the term "Christian" was first used.

“But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth.” 1 Timothy 3:15

"This is the sole Church of Christ, which in the Creed we profess to be one, holy, catholic and apostolic." -CCC 811

Antonio Ebangelista: INC Properties Used as Collaterial to Secure Multi-Billion Loans

Source: INC Silent No More
Finally… the proof that everyone has been waiting for is here.  The infamous documents that will prove what I have been saying all along.  No more Abangan… The time has finally come.

But before that…:), do allow me a moment to gloat. After all, I got bashed a lot for my FB posts. Some even went all out and created an entire blog site in my honor! On and on they went and called me names, really vicious names. In the future, make sure “liar” ain’t one of them, eh? Ref. https://youtu.be/KltsajVjgDA
Access the Truth, Iglesia ni Cristo blogspot, OWE ministers and followers, did you really think I was just bluffing?  Why did you think no one took me up on my challenge? I could wait for that elusive bank waiver until I grow roots and it still wouldn’t come.  Know why?  Because the loans are real, as everyone else will see now.  I can tell you who didn’t think of my jabs in FB as bluff – the people who took out the loans themselves!  Come on, people… You know who you are. I was holding out, waiting for you to come to your senses to avoid this embarrassment. But you chose to keep silent. You chose to ignore. And now, my patience has run out.
In all seriousness, my findings did not make me happy. Actually, I almost felt sick reading these loan documents. I felt as though the Administration has sold the very soul of the Church. They knew what they have done, yet they continued to deny, mislead, and deceive the brethren. Do they think they could take their secrets to their grave?  Do they think they could hide them from God? In a verse read during a recent lesson where they try to intimidate the thinking voters who plan to silently express their defiance of the “sold” bloc vote on Election Day, it says:
isaiah-29-15
Read on and let’s confirm to whom this verse really applies.
Evidence of Church Properties Used as Collateral
These are but a small sample among the hundreds of properties owned by “Iglesia ni Cristo” which were used as collateral for loans with Metrobank and AUB.  In particular, the ones shown below are among a very long list of properties used to secure an ADDITIONAL P3 BILLION LOAN with Metrobank and an ADDITIONAL P2 BILLION LOAN with AUB. Remember the word “ADDITIONAL” because that’s significant and I will get back to that later.
Let’s study the first one.
  1. TCT RT-113559
TCT-RT-113559-matrix
TCT-RT-113559-page1
Take note that this property was purchased during the time of God’s Last Messenger, Bro. Felix Y. Manalo back in 1944 and preserved by his successor, Bro. Erano G. Manalo.  The property is now worth close to P10 million!  Under the Administration of the current Executive Minister, Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo, this property, along with many others, are at risk of foreclosure if obligations under the loans with Metrobank and AUB secured by this property are not paid in full and on time by INC!
This is the Encumbrances Page on this property.
TCT-RT-113559-uncumbrances-page
Let‘s take a closer look.  Here’s the top portion of the Encumbrances Page:

TCT-RT-113559-uncumbrances-top-page.JPG
This tells us this property was used to guarantee a principal obligation for THREE BILLION PESOS (P3,000,000,000) with METROPOLITAN BANK & TRUST COMPANY and that this is based on a loan agreement called Second Amendment to Omnibus Loan and Security Agreement among 6 parties:
  1. Maligaya Development Corporation,
  2. Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company,
  3. Iglesia ni Cristo,
  4. Felix Manalo Foundation, Inc.,
  5. New Era University
  6. Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company – Trust Banking Group.
“THREE BILLION?! Why did we need so much money? What about our offerings? Why did we have to borrow money? We never did that before! Why are so many companies involved in the loan? Why did we have to mortgage this and other properties?”

Aleteia: 5 Reasons to Stay Until the End of Mass

Sr. Theresa Aletheia Noble
April 26, 2016

Most of us have probably done it at least once or twice.

We make a beeline for the door with our heads down after receiving communion because we have something important to do.

We hope our pastor and friends won’t notice. And perhaps they don’t. But Someone does.

As a religious sister who has moved around quite a bit, I am surprised by how drastically different parishes in some areas of the country are from others. I am from Oklahoma and rarely see people leaving Mass early. I used to live in California, and in the parish I attended, people came late and sometimes left early. I am now in the northeast and am surprised by how many people leave Mass early. But these patterns also depend on the parish. It is an interesting phenomenon. An isolated incident is not that concerning to me. But when half the parishioners have disappeared to the parking lot before the closing song has ended, it makes my heart a little sad.

Sometimes I want to run after the people I see walking briskly out of church straight from the communion line and shake them and say, “You have Jesus inside you! Take a minute to talk to him, to thank him, to love him!”

Do you need some motivation to stay a little longer to attend the entire Mass? Do you know some other people who might?

Here are some reasons I stay until the end of Mass, (besides the fact that I am a nun and it would be scandalous if I ran out right after communion every Sunday):

1. Communion Is About Communing: When we receive communion, we receive Jesus himself. When we eat and run it is like visiting a friend and the moment he is able to sit down and be present to us we jump up and run out the door yelling, “It was so great to spend time with you, see you next week!” Communion is about communing with our Lord and Savior. In order to commune, we have to actually savor this special time with him and take a few moments to be with our Lord.

2. It’s Not Nice to Be Rude: Before Mass in the convent, we have a half hour of silent meditation on the Gospel. Sometimes I am late. I walk quickly in with my head down, embarrassed that everyone can see that I slept in. Recently, I realized that my motivation to be on time should not be to avoid embarrassment but because I am going to see Jesus. Why are we often more concerned with other people’s reactions than we are with Jesus’? We think, I have to run because I have so much to do, so-and-so is waiting for me! But why is it easy for us to leave early and come late when it is the Creator of the Universe who is hoping to see us?

Rome event to mark persecution of Christians around the world.

Rome event to mark persecution of Christians around the world.

The waters of Rome’s Trevi Fountain will be dyed red in recognition of Christians who have died for their faith, at an event on Friday 29 April.

The initiative is being organised by Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) to highlight the persecution of Christians and the “systematic violation of their right to religious freedom” in numerous countries around the world.

The Chaldean Catholic bishop of Aleppo in Syria, Antoine Audo, and ACN president Cardinal Mauro Piacenza will be at the event to discuss the persecution faced by Christians in the world today, in countries such as Iraq, Syria, Nigeria, North Korea and Somalia.

The event is supported by several religious and charitable associations including Communion and Liberation, Caritas Italy, the Christian Workers Movement and the Focolare Movement.

Pope Francis speaks frequently about modern-day martyrs, recently describing them as “the lifeblood of the Church.”

Fined for praying the Rosary

EIGHT Canberra Catholics, including a priest of the Archdiocese, received an official police warning on April 15 for allegedly breaching the exclusion zone around the ACT Health Centre in Civic.

The group, which has held weekly pro-life prayer vigils outside the facility for more than 17 years, was gathered outside PJ O’Reilly’s Irish Pub on West Row when police asked them to move elsewhere.

Seventy-five-year-old Kerry Mellor decided not to move from the location, and was consequently fined $750.

The Health (Patient Privacy) Amendment Act 2015 Bill, introduced in the ACT Legislative Assembly by Greens Minister Shane Rattenbury and passed on October 29, established the exclusion zones, which came into effect on March 22.

The Bill prohibits behaviour that attempts to stop a person from entering the building, as well as “a protest, by any means… in relation to the provision of abortions” in the facility.

Mr Mellor, who has been attending the prayer vigils for the past 12 years, told Catholic Voice he was convinced the police had made a mistake.

“We do not believe that we are protesting,” he said.

“We are praying, which is directed exclusively to almighty God and his Blessed Mother. It’s not a protest, it’s a petition that God will act to change the hearts and minds of people.

“It’s also an ancient tradition to pray for the dead, including the innocents killed here – we pray for their souls, and we make a small act of reparation for this horror committed in our midst, in our community.”

Contrary to media reports, the pro-life group does not hand out anti-abortion material, nor do they engage in conversation with individuals entering or leaving the health centre.

Rather, the group recites 15 decades of the Rosary, a litany for life, and several concluding prayers each Friday morning.

Mr Mellor said he had taken legal advice, and would not be paying the $750 fine, which could lead to a trial in the ACT Magistrates Court.

“I have made a formal request that the charge be withdrawn, on the basis that our quiet prayer cannot possibly be interpreted as any of the types of ‘prohibited behaviour’ in the legislation. I’m awaiting the outcome,” he said.

Mr Mellor also said it was important that the official interpretation of the rules in relation to the exclusion zone be clarified to all parties.

“We’ve had conflicting advice, which makes it hard for everyone,” he said. “It’s in the interests of police, as much as in our own, to have clear definitions of what the law says we can do, and what it says we can’t do.”

Last year Archbishop Christopher Prowse took part in a prayer vigil outside the facility during the annual ’40 Days for Life’ campaign.

Later, after the Bill establishing the exclusion zones was passed, he described the legislation as “cold and clinical”.

“It completely ignores the complexity of the abortion issue itself,” he said at the time.

“The real issue is trying to assist fragile women with unwanted pregnancies to consider deeply options other than abortion.”

Lebanon, Christians, Under Islamist Threat

2016-04-25 | Shadi Khalloul, Act for America

Recent upheavals in Lebanon are making local Christians communities worry about their existence as heirs and descendants of the first Christians. Christians in the Middle East now are facing a huge genocide -- similar to the Christian genocide the followed the Islamic conquest of the Middle East in the 7th century A.D.

Islamic jihadist groups are threatening Lebanese Christians and demanding that they submit to Islam. Lebanon's Christians, descendants of Aramaic Syriacs, were the majority in the country a mere 100 years ago.

The demand for Christians to convert to Islam was one of the declarations issued by ISIS and other Islamic groups hiding in the mountainous border between Syria and Lebanon.

Saad Hariri, a Saudi-backed Sunni Muslim politician and the son of assassinated Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, recently invited every Lebanese party to his office to sign a document confirming that Lebanon is an Arab state. Arab state equals Islamic laws, as with all members of the Arab League. Why is it so important to Hariri or to the Sunni and Islamic world to include Lebanon as an Arab state and cancel its current name as a Lebanese state only?

And why do the Arab states, including the Palestinian Authority (PA), refuse to recognize Israel, with its 80% Jewish majority, as Jewish state, while at the same time trying to impose the definition of an Arab state on Lebanon, whose population is 35% non-Arab Christians?

There are approximately one million Syriac Maronites left in Lebanon, as well as another 700,000 Christians belonging to other churches. In addition, more than eight million Syriac Maronites live in the diaspora. These eight million Christians fled over the centuries because of persecution by Muslims, often conquerors of the Christian homeland. Lebanon was never a strictly Arab or Muslim. But that is the step that Saad Hariri, as a milder face of the expansionist ISIS ideology, would have us take -- under the guise of a modern, moderate, Sunni secular front.

Isis Threat to Crucify Lebanon's Christians as Islamic State Prepare to Cross Syria Border
By Jack Moore for IBTimes
September 30, 2014

Christians in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley have begun arming themselves in preparation for an Isis (now known as the Islamic State) offensive as it seeks to expand its territorial control outside of Syria.

Up to 3,000 militants from the Islamic State and other jihadists occupy the mountain range between Lebanon and Syria near the Sunni town of Arsal.

As IS seek to grab land outside of the mountain caves and farms they currently control, Christian volunteers have now created village defence forces to protect against the Sunni militants who have taken up to 21 Lebanese soldiers and policemen hostage.

"We are a minority and we are under threat by the jihadists," Rifaat Nasrallah, a commander of the volunteer guards in the Greek Catholic town of Ras Baalbek, said.

"It wasn't the idea of anyone in particular," Nasrallah says of the formation of defence units. "The whole village felt in danger so we all agreed it was necessary."

"We don't shoot if we see someone or something moving in the mountains," said one of the watchmen. "We just call the Army and they investigate."

Ras Baalbek has a population of 15,000 and is separated from the flashpoint town of Arsal by a range of hills.

"Imagine if Islamic State makes it into Ras Baalbek and they crucify a Christian. It will set Lebanon alight," a western diplomat in the Lebanese capital of Beirut, speaking on condition of anonymity, told The Times.

There are approximately 2.4m Chrisitans in Lebanon, 20pc of the total population.

The terror group has continued to crack down on religious freedom since the announcement of its Islamic "caliphate", straddling the Iraqi-Syrian border.

The Sunni jihadists have taken over Iraq's largest Christian town of Qaraqosh causing thousands of residents to flee towards Kurdistan region.

They also issued an ultimatum to Christians in the city of Mosul to convert to their radical form of Islam or be forced to either pay a tax, leave the city or be harmed for refusal to convert.

The city is now reportedly empty of Christians as hundreds of families fled following the ultimatum of death or a historic contract ‒ known as "dhimma"‒ where non-Muslims can receive protection if they pay a fee known as a "jizya".

ROME REPORTS: A look inside the Vatican's Diplomatic Power

Source:  Rome Reports

From U.S president Barack Obama to Queen Elizabeth...From controversial leaders to Hollywood stars. Pope Francis has met them all. The Vatican may be the smallest country in the world, but it has real diplomatic influence.

NIGEL BAKER
UK Ambassador to the Holy See
"Possibly the world’s most extensive network today, functioning on all sorts of levels from the political to the religious to the NGO, to the street, to the media.”

Nigel Baker is the UK's ambassador before the Holy See. He says a lot more than just religion is addressed. There's also immigration, war, nuclear disarmament and inter-religious dialogue.

NIGEL BAKER
UK Ambassador to the Holy See
"These are top of the agenda issues and the Holy See not only has something to say, but it’s having influence on the debate.”

With more than 170 countries accredited before the Holy See, it has an extensive international network, other nations want to tap into. It's not just the small diplomatic team in the Vatican, but the Universal Church it has access to.

NIGEL BAKER
UK Ambassador to the Holy See
"We don’t have at the moment an embassy in Damascus. But, we may be able to talk to Syrians, Syrian Christians or Syrian refugee workers who are working closely inside Syria and have information on what’s happening.”

Since being elected, Pope Francis has been top news. Getting an audience with the Pope is a way to deal with concrete issues, but there's also a popularity element, world leaders may not always admit to.

NIGEL BAKER
UK Ambassador to the Holy See
"Even world leaders I think can be susceptible to a little bit of the star dust and see whether that may rub off on them and I think it’s difficult to find a world leader that has the star dust that Pope Francis has.”

So it's not just countries with a majority of Catholics that expect to have diplomatic ties with the Holy See. Even more, it's about being connected to an international network that has real influence out on the ground.

CBCP News: How Christine Jacob left the Church and came back

Christine Jacob with her kids (Photo: Ruel Tenerife)

MUNTINLUPA City, April 20, 2016, CBCP News – Like many in the showbiz world, Christine Jacob experimented with religion.

“It was a very, very tough time in my life,” she noted, describing the days she was on noontime TV almost daily.

Though a cradle Catholic herself, the Olympian swimmer and show host would join Born-Again fellowships with her celebrity friends in her desire to have what she called a “personal relationship with Jesus.”

She thought this could also help her become immune from the bad influences the entertainment industry is notorious for.

“For a while, I didn’t know where, how I was going. And that was when I got into Born Again. That, at least, at that point, helped keep me grounded,” she explained.

Ironically, after years of “soul searching,” she would find what she was looking for in the faith of her youth.

“And from there I was just praying for somebody to just come into my life, you know? … And then I met my husband who’s Opus Dei,” she continued.

Back to Rome

It was thanks to Mr. Francisco Sandejas that Christine was able to make the “return trip” to Rome.

But her “reversion” was not without initial reservation on her part.

“We would always debate, trying to see who’s the best, trying to convert each other or something like that,” she explained, smiling.

“He taught me how to relearn the Catholic faith over again,” she added.

Also thanks to her husband, Christine got exposed to the pro-life cause, becoming one of the country’s better-known defenders of family and life.

Catholic Herald: In 2016 more than half of converts in Vienna were Muslim, according to reports

From Catholic Herald
Posted Tuesday, 19 Apr 2016

St Stephen's Cathedral, Vienna (PA)
An increasing number of Muslim migrants in Austria are converting to Christianity, according to reports.

According to Austrian website Kurier, 83 adults were approved for baptism in Vienna in 2016, with Friederike Dostal of the Austrian Bishops’ Conference estimating that about half of them were Muslims, mainly from Syria, Afghanistan, and Iran. This figure is up from one-third in 2015.

There is expected to be a further rise of Muslim converts in 2017 due to the fact that there has been an increase in the number of refugees arriving in Vienna in recent months and because the conversion process, known as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, takes up to a year to complete.

The Archdiocese in Vienna is handling between five and 10 adult baptism requests per week, Kurier says.

De Quito IS an Iglesia Ni Cristo member, isn't she?

Deguito grants an interview to broadcaster Anthony Taberna and gets Ferdie Topacio as her lawyer during the Senate blue ribbon committee hearing. Many think she's Iglesia.

RCBC's Maia Deguito: Who said she's Iglesia?

The "kapatid" community is abuzz over the Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) money-laundering mess.

Not a few noticed that RCBC branch manager Maia Santos-Deguito was quick to grant an interview to broadcaster Anthony Taberna of dzMM Teleradyo in the second week of March. In that interview, she told him there was no hold departure order against her and that she was told Immigration staff needed to speak with her.

It was surely an unfortunate and embarrassing, even traumatic, experience to be asked to deplane after being comfortably seated and settled. If you recall, she was with her husband and son, who was supposed to be gifted with a trip to Tokyo Disneyland.

After that Teleradyo interview, Deguito appeared in the Senate with Ferdie Topacio, an ardent admirer of Adolf Hitler as historical figure, and lawyer of celebrities, including the former First Gentleman. The lover of jazz, it turned out, was Deguito's lawyer too, at least for the Senate hearings. He was seen coaching her and discreetly whispering to her, guiding her on what to say in response to questions from senators during hearings of the blue ribbon committee investigating the Bangladesh Bank heist.

Taberna is the nephew of former Iglesia minister Isaias Samson Jr who accused the INC leadership of corruption and who has since left the country. Recall that Taberna's newly opened coffee shop on Visayas Avenue was fired upon by unidentified armed men in late August 2015. Police recovered at least 15 empty shells of a .45-caliber gun but were unable to determine the motive for the pre-dawn attack.

Add one plus one plus one and you'd be quick to conclude that the one and only thing that binds Taberna, Topacio and Deguito together is that they belong to the same church: the influential but now fragmented Iglesia ni Cristo (INC). But wait. Verify, verify, verify. Even among Iglesia circles there was loose talk that Deguito was able to get Topacio because they belong to the same locale.

We checked with Ferdie Topacio himself and here's what he said: "Maia is Roman Catholic. The rosary she had around her wrist should be a dead giveaway. I'm from the locale of Better Living, Metro Manila South."

Asked how he ended up being her lawyer, he texted, "I'm sorry; that's privileged." This should put to rest speculation about the Iglesia links, no matter how tempting it may be to entertain the thought. – Chay F. Hofileña/Rappler.com

THEY HAVE BEEN LYING ALL THE WAY! MAIA DE QUITO IS AN INC™ MEMBER!

Albert Hitler on the Catholic Church!

TIME MAGAZINE Vol. XXXVI No. 26
December 23, 1940, p. 38

"Being a lover of freedom, when the revolution came in Germany, I looked to the universities to defend it, knowing that they had always boasted of their devotion to the cause of truth; but, no, the universities immediately were silenced. Then I looked to the great editors of the newspapers whose flaming editorials in days gone by had proclaimed their love of freedom; but they, like the universities, were silenced in a few short weeks...

Only the Church stood squarely across the path of Hitler's campaign for suppressing truth. I never had any special interest in the Church before, but now I feel a great affection and admiration because the Church alone has had the courage and persistence to stand for intellectual truth and moral freedom. I am forced thus to confess that what I once despised I now praise unreservedly." -Sir ALBERT EINSTEIN

Palestinians Are Erasing Christian History

The plight of Palestinian Christians does not interest the international community, because Israel cannot be blamed for demolishing the antiquities. If the current policy against Christians persists, the day will come when no Christians will be left in Bethlehem.

  • For Palestinian Christians, the destruction of the ancient Byzantine church ruins is yet a further attempt by Palestinian Muslim leaders to efface both Christian history and signs of any Christian presence in the West Bank and Gaza, under the Palestinian Authority (PA) and Hamas. A growing number of Christians feel they are being systematically targeted by both the PA and Hamas for being Christians.
  • Bulldozers were used to destroy some of the church artifacts; some Palestinian Christians accused both Hamas and the PA of copying ISIS tactics to demolish historic sites.
  • “Where are the heads of the churches in Jerusalem and the world?… Where are the Vatican and UNESCO? Where are the leaders and politicians who talk, talk, talk about national unity and the preservation of holy sites? Or is this a collective conspiracy to end our existence and history in the East?” — Sami Khalil, a Christian from the West Bank city of Nablus.
  • The plight of Palestinian Christians does not interest the international community. That is because Israel cannot be blamed for demolishing the antiquities. If the current policy against Christians persists, the day will come when no Christians will be left in Bethlehem.

Palestinian Christians are up in arms over the destruction of the ruins of an ancient Byzantine church that were recently discovered in Gaza City.

The protest, however, failed to win the attention of the international community, especially United Nations agencies such as UNESCO, whose mission is to secure the world’s cultural and natural heritage.

The ruins of the 1800-year-old church were discovered in Palestine Square, in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City, where Hamas is planning to build a shopping mall. The dramatic discovery of the antiquities did not seem to leave an impression on the construction workers, who removed artifacts and continued with their work at the site.

Defying belief, bulldozers were used to destroy some of the church artifacts, drawing sharp criticism from Palestinian Christians, some of whom rushed to accuse both Hamas and the Palestinian Authority (PA) of copying ISIS tactics to demolish historic sites.

For Palestinian Christians, the destruction of the church ruins is yet a further attempt by Palestinian Muslim leaders to efface both Christian history and signs of any Christian presence in the Palestinian territories.

BIOGRAPHY OF FELIX Y. MANALO

Dennis Trillo, the man behind the FELIX MANALO movie, who didn't even believe him as the "Last Messenger of God in these Last Days."

Birth

Felix Ysagun ý Manalo was born in Barrio Tipas, Taguig, Rizal province in Luzon, Philippine islands on 10th May 1886. He was born in Sitio Calzada, a hamlet some 15 kilometres southeast of Manila and along the shores of Laguna de Bay. His name Felix (which means “happy”) was chosen from the roster of saints from that month[1]. He is the first of the two children of Mariano Ysagun and Bonifacia Manalo of Pampanga, who both belong to the Roman Catholic Church. His father was a farmworker and fisherman while his mother, Aling Pacia, was a housewife and a known manang or faithful lay member, a devotee of the patron saint, San Antonio.

Childhood

In 1893, when we has seven years old, he was made to attend public school in Santa Ana, Taguig. He had an old teacher by the name Macario Ocampo, called Maestro Cario. He was taught basic literacy and fundamentals of the Catholic faith in a caton class (cathecism class). He worked as a fisherman with his father in Laguna de Bay. He also worked as a herd boy of carabaos (water buffalos) with his cousin, Modesto Ysagun. They trapped field mice whose meat was good for nourishment. He beat many other boys in a contest to determine who could stay the longest standing barefooted atop an anthill crawling with maddened red ants. Another time he prevailed in a whiplash fight that lasted for hours and made him ill for a week[2].

In 1896, during the Philippine Revolution against Spain, his father died, leaving him and his younger sister, Praxedes in the care of their mother. It is unknown if his father was one of the Katipuneros of Taguig, the secret meeting place of the Katipunan. His primary education was disrupted at this time.

In 1898, General Emilio Aguinaldo proclaimed the independence of the Philippines from Spanish colonial rule. Sometime after this, the 12-year-old Felix and his cousin Modesto left for Manila. There he learned photography from his cousin, Serapio Ysagun, and afterwards became an apprentice to the photography studio of his uncle, Manuel Manalo[3]. He also learned other crafts like goldsmithing, barbering and weaving buri hats. In 1899, his mother married a widower, Clemente Mozo. She bore him five children but only two survived: Fausta and Baldomero. Mozo died two months before Baldomero’s birth. This forced Bonifacia to find work in a small sawali (woven bamboo strips) factory.

The American occupation brought Protestantism in the islands. On 2 March 1899, during the Philippine-American War, Bishop James M. Thoburn of Methodist Episcopal Church delivered the first Protestant sermon in the Philippine islands. Seven months after this, on 6 September 1899, G.C.B. Randall, a religious man, distributed the first batch of Bibles in Manila. In the previous years, the Spanish friars forbid the reading of the Bible by lay people[4].

As a Roman Catholic

In 1899, Felix and his cousin was adopted by their uncle Mariano Borja, a Catholic priest, in an urban parish house in Sampaloc, Manila. A lover of fighting cocks, the priest not only fed and gave them quarters but told them tales of great men which doubtless inspired the two young boys to weave dreams. They helped in lighting the candles among other things. It was in that parish where Felix found a Bible left on a church bench, which he began to read[5]. He was severely rebuked for privately studying the Bible[6] [Reading the Bible is fine. But understanding it and interpreting it privately is dangerous to the soul at we now see in the emergence of the INC™]. Since he was living inside the parish, he attended its seminary[7]. He was then able to compare the teachings and practices of the Catholic church with the teachings in the Bible [The teaching of the Catholic Church and the Bible aren't different. The writer is obviously a Protestant and he may had disregarded the Catholic Church's official source of teaching: SCRIPTURE and TRADITION]. He realised that basic Catholic doctrines such as baptism through infusion, worshipping graven images and making long prayers [Catholics do not worship objects. They revere or venerate images but NOT objects. The Catechism of the Catholic Church is consistent- only God is to be worshiped-- the One God in Three Divine Persons] contradicts the Bible. Doubts rise in his mind and he began to reject the old ritualistic Catholic practices. (In spite of this, he did not join the Philippine Independent Church, also known as Aglipayan Church[8]. He learned that its doctrines were not essentially different from those of its mother church, the Roman Catholic Church). Thus, he decided to leave the Catholic Church, hence leaving also his uncle’s house and his studies in Manila. In December 1902, he went back to Tipas to help his mother twiced widowed and seven months pregnant. There in Tipas, when his relatives and townmates learned that he left his uncle’s house and stopped his studies in Manila, they rebuked his decision. When they learned that he also decided to leave the Catholic religion, they persecuted him and made lies against him, hoping through these he will change his decision. But, the sixteen year old Felix stand firm on his decision never to come back to the Catholic religion because their practices and teachings contradict the teachings written in the Bible.

1918 - Felix Manalo y Ysagun, Filipino founder of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC), is honored as an outstanding evengelist by the ministers of the Christian mission, some four years after founding his own church, the INC; Manalo went through a razzle-dazzle period of soul-searching--joining the Philippine Independent Church, then Colorum, the Methodist Episcopalian Church, and then the Seventh Day Adventist--before eventually finding his spiritual truth in his church; in 1922 during the period wherein he would be accused of immorality (for supposedly raping/molesting 30 or so women members of INC), Manalo would introduce in his church the important Sugo doctrine claiming that he is the messenger of God, the fifth angle of Revelation. -Today In History

Kobe Bryant, Formed and Saved by His Catholic Faith

How a priest changed Kobe Bryant's life

On Wednesday, April 13 Kobe Bryant, one of the greatest athletes of all time, ended his 20-year basketball career with a bang, scoring 60 points in his last game.

While Bryant’s stats can be recited by many five-time NBA champion, two-time Olympic champion, 18-time All-Star and the third leading scorer in NBA history — few know about the role his Catholic faith played in helping him through one of his darkest hours.

Born in Philadelphia, Kobe Bryant was raised in a Catholic household and even spent some of his youth in Italy. Drafted into the NBA at the age of 17, he eventually married Vanessa Laine at St. Edward Roman Catholic Church in Dana Point, California. Two years later they had their first child. Bryant was at the top of his game and everything seemed to be heading in the direction of his dreams.

Then he made a big mistake.

In 2003, Kobe Bryant was accused of raping a woman in his hotel room, while he was in Colorado for knee surgery. He admitted having sex with the woman but denied rape. A judge eventually dropped the charges, but the woman went on to file a civil lawsuit against Bryant that was settled outside of court. In the midst of it all, he issued a public apology, stating that he was sincerely ashamed of what he had done.

The incident had major consequences as numerous sponsors abandoned him and his reputation was tarnished. In 2011, his wife filed for divorce.

Yet during one of the darkest moments of his life, Kobe Bryant turned to his Catholic faith. In an interview with GQ last year he explained:

“The one thing that really helped me during that process — I’m Catholic, I grew up Catholic, my kids are Catholic — was talking to a priest. It was actually kind of funny: He looks at me and says, ‘Did you do it?’ And I say, ‘Of course not.’ Then he asks, ‘Do you have a good lawyer?’And I’m like, ‘Uh, yeah, he’s phenomenal.’ So then he just said, ‘Let it go. Move on. God’s not going to give you anything you can’t handle, and it’s in his hands now. This is something you can’t control. So let it go.’ And that was the turning point.”

After some rough years, Kobe Bryant reconciled with his wife, and they remain married to this day. Together they have founded the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation (KVBFF), which is dedicated to, among other things, helping young people in need, encouraging the development of physical and social skills through sports and assisting the homeless. Asked about this commitment in 2013, Bryant’s answer would likely have made Pope Francis very happy:

My career is winding down. At the end of my career, I don’t want to look back and just say, “Well, I had a successful career because I won so many championships and scored so many points.” There’s something else that you have to do with that.

[The homelessness] issue is one that kind of gets pushed on the back burner because it’s easy to point the blame at those who are homeless and say, “Well, you made that bad decision. This is where you are. It’s your fault.” In life, we all make mistakes and to stand back and allow someone to live that way and kind of wash your hands of it … that’s not right.

Throughout all of his trials, and perhaps even in response to them, Bryant has realized that fame and fortune were nothing compared to the importance of faith and family. When everyone else in the world abandoned him, the Catholic Church was always there.

He may be an All-Star and NBA legend, but even superstars can use the foundational support of faith-formation, and a good priest to turn to.

Exposing the LIES behind the Vicarius Filii Dei supposedly inscribed into Pope's tiara

This LIE has been perpetuated by the Seventh-Day Adventists or better known as "SABADISTA" in the Philippines, founded by Ellen G. White in 1863, their fake prophetess, saying that the POPE'S TIARA has the words "Vicarius Filii Dei" inscribed in it [Read it HERE].

It was copied by FELIX MANALO, when he was once a Minister of that Protestant church until he founded his own church, the Iglesia Ni Cristo in 1914.

Although PROVEN to be FALSE but those proponents of perpetual bigotry and anti-Catholic sentiments among the INC™ groups, Sabadistas, ADD™ and other Born Again churches used the same argument to win converts from poorly catechized Catholics in areas seldom reached by volunteer catechist.

Please spread this TRUTH, perhaps we may be saving a soul that may eventually pray for us in the hour of our death.

3- PASUGO Hulyo 1955, nasa panakip:
