CBCP affirms stand against bloc voting

Under the pretence of "church-unity" the Iglesia ni Cristo teaches its followers to vote any candidate being proclaimed by their "little infallible Pope- the Manalo" to ensure that what he says is being promulgated and followed-- no questions ask.

Thanks to the Catholic Church, that she maintains respect of the freedom of each faithful to vote according to his/her God-given conscience. That Catholics should pray, discern and vote candidates that promotes Catholic Social and Moral teachings.

MANILA, Philippines-The head of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines has reiterated the Church stance against bloc voting for Catholics in the next elections.

“The Church is not in favor of bloc voting like what others do because our citizens should have the freedom to choose their candidates according to their conscience,” Jaro Archbishop Angel Lagdameo told the Church-run Radio Veritas Tuesday.

“Pro-life” groups within the Church which are opposed to the reproductive health bill now being debated in Congress have been calling for Catholics to vote as a bloc to dissuade lawmakers from passing the legislation.
