Manila Bulletin: FYI Felix Manalo founded the Iglesia ni Cristo

Felix Manalo did found the Iglesia ni Cristo and his grandson Eduardo actually inherited his seat from his grandfather. So, who really owns the Iglesia ni Cristo? Here's something we should know:

"Did you know that the immediate family members of the current Chief Minister of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC), Bro. Eduardo, his siblings and children do not own their own houses or assets or receive salaries?

"Everything is literally owned by the Iglesia ni Cristo, run and managed by a Council of Elders, and subsidiary committees and firms for specific activities by boards of trustees… The family members marry only INC members of the Church, and serve as ministers, teachers or administrators … They are given comfortable “subsidies” adequate for a modest lifestyle, and definitely nothing ostentatious … The Philippine Postal Corporation recently issued a special commemorative stamp in honor of Bro. Eduardo’s father, Bro. EraƱo G. Manalo, or Ka Erdy, who was mainly responsible, after inheriting the seat from his father and founder, Bro. Felix Manalo, for the phenomenal expansion and influence of the Iglesia ni Cristo here and all over the world wherever there are Filipino workers, devotees and immigrants … Today, the Council of Elders of the Iglesia ni Cristo will meet to decide on crucial matters of national interest of which one of them is the coming May, 2010 elections … The Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) was founded by Bro. Felix Manalo in 1914 …" [emphasis mine]

PASUGO publication dated July 1952, p. 4 said:
"Kung ang babalingan ng pag-uusapan ay ang nagtatag, dapat na siya ang may-ari ng itinatag, at sa kanya rin manggagaling ang mga aral at turo na ipinatutupad." [If the shift of discussion is who founded (something), the founder should own what he has founded and that all lectures and teachings being implemented should come from him.]

Therefore, INC (Iglesia ni Cristo® is a business firm, more than a church.  It's a Filipino organization by the mere fact that it's registered name is in FILIPINO (tagalog). And it was founded by Felix Y. Manalo (not Jesus Christ) in 1914.

So which is the original (true) One and Only Church of Christ Jesus himself established? Read History!

  1. How can you bring up an article from the manila buliten? is it even allowed by the church. when he says "Did you know..." it is as if he is authorized or he has the authority to say such thing. please do your homework on that.

And again, the founder of the INC is Jesus Christ himself. The INC is registered as a religious corporation according to the 55 aniversary issue of the PASUGO.

Your last statement can acctualy be thrown back at you, because the official name of the catholic church was in Latin (so called dead language, thus your church is also Latin which is dead.)

(In the above comment there is not authoritative statement, neither is it official)

  2. Oh, really? Please lecture us on history Mr. Plaridel. How could Jesus be the founder yet you just hardly reached a hundred years old?

Or you better correct Mr. Hector Villanueva, a highly educated person to consider your own version of history so as he may correctly say "Jesus Christ founded the Iglesia ni Cristo in 1914".

Wait, have you not noticed? Languages, cities, kingdoms, empires and emperors, wars have attackd Christ Church for years but hey we are still here!

Well, we've been here on earth for more more or less 2,010 years now (see the Gregorian Calendar hanging in your offices in Central-- that's Pope Gregory XIII's).

That's because Christ its founders said.. THE GATES OF HELL WILL NEVER EVER PREVAIL... gets mo?

So that even your own cult cannot prevail. The genuine is more believable than the fake ones like your cult.

Oh well, why did your Pasugo use a dead language then? It's actually thrown back to you Mr. Plaridel!

Oh, by the way why not do your homework instead?

  3. I have told you and you have read in the PASUGO (If you really did) The catholic church was the church established by Christ in the first century but the catholic church has diverted from the ways of the apostles. If yours in the true church now why have most of your teachings have roots almost 300 years after Christ? The teaching of Christ being God began in the council of Nicea and the teaching of the divinity of the holy spirit in the council of Constantinople?

Is mr. Hector Villanueva even a member of the INC? I do not think he has the authority to say anything about the church which he is not a member of. do you think we should say that Constantine founded your church? I think you would agree that you would not like that. Since he may not be a member he cant say anything about it as authoritative as that.

When did we use a dead language as a full article. Our official language is Filipino and English, both of which are not dead languages.

    right back at you.

  4. You said: "The teaching of Christ being God began in the council of Nicea and the teaching of the divinity of the holy spirit in the council of Constantinople?"

I say: The first community of believers BELIEVED Jesus is God. Why you are denying the very evidence in the Bible. Say for example these verses:

Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 43:10,11 - “You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior.”
Revelation 1:17-18; Revelation 2:8 - (Jesus is the First and the Last)

Isaiah 44:6 - (God is the Redeemer)
2 Peter 1:1 (Jesus is the Redeemer) - “To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ”

Isaiah 44:24 - (God created the world by His self alone)
John 1:3; Colossians 1:16 - (Jesus made all things)

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... 1:14 - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,

John 5:17,18 - “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.” Therefore the Jews sought to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.

John 5:23 - that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

John 8:24 - “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I AM He, you will die in your sins.”

John 8:58 - Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

John 10:30-33 - Jesus answered them, “I and My Father are one.” Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”

John 14:6-7 - Jesus said to him, “I AM the way, the truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

  5. cont...

John 14:9-11 - Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?”

John 20:28 - And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”

Acts 4:12 - “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Acts 20:28 - (God purchased us with His own blood)
Revelation 1:5,6; Revelation 5:8-9 -(Jesus' blood purchased us)

Philippians 2:5-7 - Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bond-servant, and coming in the likeness of men.

1 Timothy 3:16 - And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

Titus 2:13 - looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ

Hebrews 1:8,9 - But to the Son He (God) says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”

2 John 1:7 - For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Revelation 1:8 - “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Revelation 22:13 - “I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”... 22:16 - “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches.”

Hebrews 2:17,18 - “Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.”
Hebrews 4:15,16 - “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

1 Peter 2:24 - “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we having died to sins, might live for righteousness - by whose stripes you were healed.”

John 15:13 - “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.”

Romans 5:8 - “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

  6. Poor catechesis led you away from the true Church of Christ as you admitted was (IS) the Catholic Church.

The Council you've mentioned was convened to END DISPUTES about those who denied the Divinity of Christ (not to formulate a new teachings as your Ministers were telling you.).

You see, your ignorance of the Council of Christ's Church was enormous that it chokes the very foundation of truth you should know.

You said: Is mr. Hector Villanueva even a member of the INC? I do not think he has the authority to say anything about the church which he is not a member of. do you think we should say that Constantine founded your church? I think you would agree that you would not like that. Since he may not be a member he cant say anything about it as authoritative as that."

I say: Mr. Villanueva is an educated man. There's no doubt he knows his history and he couldn't be telling official in public which it may jeopardise his professionalism.

Look Mr. Plaridel, history is not own by any individual, it's open to public and what he had stated is historically factual. Want to contest that? PROVE!

Say you want to say. That Constantine founded the Church? It would be funnier if you claim Jesus founded your church yet you hardly reached a hundred years old hehehe.

You said: When did we use a dead language as a full article. Our official language is Filipino and English, both of which are not dead languages."

Latin is considered a "dead language" because it's not spoken anymore by ordinary folks. It is now used in formal writings or in looking for etymological meaning of our present English words. So you're really up to the word DEAD so you expect it to be literally DEAD.. you really are funny. Good for the world to see your understanding of the word "Dead Language" lol...

right back at you. You really need to fret out coz history woudl be harsher when you really read H-I-S-T-O-R-Y!

I SAY: I hope you are asking for the sake of gaining knowledge.
The First Council of Nicaea (Turkey) was held in 325 AD (that was 1,589 years before Felix founded his church in 1914).

The Council was convened to end a dispute between the heretic Arian who taught another Jesus (as what you are actually believing today).

His heretic teachings were condemned BY THE CHURCH in that Council.

Yes, that’s the reason why such a Council was convened. Other topics such as Easter date IS NOT a doctrine but it’s a Liturgical Celebration within the Liturgical Calendar. IT IS NOT A DOCTRINE hehehe. Thanks to your ignorance!

Since you asked if the word EASTER is not in the Bible? What do you know about Easter? It’s the celebration of the Resurrection of Christ and so yes, it’s in the Bible!

But here are obvious words you cannot find in the Bible but you taught in your cult:

    1.Jesus IS NOT GOD.
    2.FELIX MANALO
    3.Last Messenger from Philippines
4.Iglesia ni Cristo or Church of Christ
    5.Central Office, Diliman

You seem to be confused with dates in our calendar. You failed to realize that although those calendars hanging in your offices in Central Offices, you seem not to notice that they are OUR CALENDAR and yet you just hang it there without realizing it was ours.

You are using the Bible but its not yours, ITS OUR BIBLE. Without the Catholic Church, there’s no Bible!

You seem to accept the Chapters and Verses in the Bible. It’s not YOU who inserted them, its Catholics!

Without the Catholic Church, you don’t know Christ at all. Perhaps you are still a pagan today or a Muslim.

There are lot of reasons why YOU SHOULD BE DEEPLY INDEBTED to the CATHOLIC CHURCH which is Christ’s true Church according to your Pasugo April 1966, p.44.

Today, we all know that CHRISTMAS is the celebration of Christ’s birth. The date is not important but the celebration.

Just as you celebrate with great festivity your JULY 27 BIRTH ANNIVERSARY (which is NOT EVEN IN THE BIBLE) we do the same.

I guess you should also realize that your own July 27 Anniversary is not even mentioned in the Bible and yet you celebrate it with much much funfare more than the celebration of the Birth of Christ who is the Savior of the World.

You seem to question the birth of Christ’s celebration but you remember to celebrate the birth of Felix Manalo, Erano, and Eduardo Manalo every year using the GREGORIAN CALENDAR as your basis to count the years your new Shepherds were born!

Don’t use two faceted standards Mr. Plaridel. Before you question us, ask yours first. It might all come back to you!

  9. Hmmm... I noticed something. You are ignoring the Bible Verses I provided loooool...

Did you deliberately ignore them? Don't worry, I understand!
