In ANTIOCH we were called Catholics and Christians!

The termCHRISTIAN were first used by people from Antioch (Act. 11:26)

The termCATHOLIC was first recorded in the letter of St. Ignatius of Antioch (ca 110 AD) in reference to the Christian Church which existed there. St. Ignatius was martyr later thrown to the lions, wrote to a church in Asia Minor.

The Church was never referred to as the "Iglesia ni Cristo". It was frequently called the "church of God" or simply the CHURCH.  And this Church is the only Church that Christ built.  Romans 16:16 highlights the CHURCH in ROME where all "churches of Christ" were sending their greetings to her.

The FAITH of the CHURCH of ROME was known "throughout the world" (Kata Holos - Catholic)):

"First, I give thanks to my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is heralded throughout the world." (Kata Holos -  Catholic) -Romans 1:8

Truly, the CATHOLIC FAITH is heralded "throughout the world"!
