The CHURCH must have the UNIVERSAL character

The UNIVERSALITY of the CHURCH

INC's little pope Eduardo Manalo's first pastoral visit to Australia

Met for the first time by Filipino church members called  the Iglesia ni Cristo, their little pope Eduardo Manalo made his first "pastoral" visit to his cult members in Australia.
Listen and watch carefully. INC is purely a Filipino Cult!

Here's what I noticed in the video:
  • 04:47 - notice the Red, White and Green copied Italian flag?
  • 05:05 - their little pope addresses the audience in TAGALOG "Mga Kapatid..." signifying it's a Filipino cult.
  • 05:10-11 - the lady INC member I suppose, said "my heart is pounding.. excited... this is the Executive Minister of... " then it was cut. Perhaps she said "Iglesia ni Cristo".
  • 05:54 - The fact that this celebration was held in Australia (English), their kind of "missalette" was all printed in Tagalog "Anibersaryo 2011 Mga Awit" signifying it's really a cult for Filipinos only.  Also the year 2011 A.D. is the year of the Christian Era, year of the CHURCH, clearly printed in their 97 Anibersaryo Mga Awit.
  • 05:36 - "Oh for you great Lord, We rejoice and sing, Glory be ever yours, Our eternal King." Now whom they are referring to as "Eternal King", "Lord" and "Glory be ever yours." Is it God (the Father only) or Jesus (the man only) according to their teachings?
  • 06:01 - Eduardo Manalo, heir to Iglesia ni Cristo corporation clearly admits his church is SOLELY for FILIPINOS, the reason why he speaks in his own language in Tagalog!!!
  • 07:08- Manalo says "Itong iglesiang ito na ating kinaaaniban ay tunay na iglesia ay tunay na iglesia ni Cristo. Iglesiang sa dios at sa ating panginoong hesukristo..." Say it again in English? Well it will lose its meaning. It will not be anymore "iglesia ni Cristo" but church of Christ" not anymore the Iglesia ni Cristo founded and registered as "Iglesia ni Cristo" by his grandfather in July 27, 1914-- that's why they are celebrating 97th year anniversary-- their registration date and their registration trade mark in Tagalog.
  • 08:00 - Non-Tagalog speakers have to rely on translations to understand the superiority of the Tagalog language in this "church" of Manalo.
  • 08:17 - Eduardo Manalo again confirms how the Lord Jesus Christ is forever determined to keep his Church and his people from the snares of the enemy. Implying that Jesus's promises in Matthew 16 is being fulfilled. Therefore there is no need of having a "restorer" for His own true Church never apostatized. The Bible proves that. History proves that!
  • 08:29 - Manalo again confirms from the Bible that God promise to protect his people and his church. Therefore the need for a "Last Messenger" is absurd for God promised to keep his people from the snares of the enemy.
  • 08:32 - "Hindi ka madadaig ng mga suliranin"-- therefore the Church from its very beginning has been protected by God "hindi madadaig ng suliranin." It will never apostatize, "the gates of hell SHALL NOT prevail."
  • 10:40 - "it is a unique church.. it's a true church? It's unique because it teaches a LYING CHRIST. It is true church because it's the church of Felix Manalo registered as a Corporation Sole, true to its registration records.

The Fact Remains: the Iglesia ni Cristo is a FILIPINO CHURCH which was never mentioned in the Bible. Romans 16:16 clearly states that "All the churches of Christ greet you".  That YOU St. Paul was referring was not the church of Manalo in the Philippines but the CHURCH of ROME! I will post an English article about that soon...

Now, who founded the Iglesia ni Cristo? It's FELIX MANALO from the Philippines!

Father Barron: The Mainstream Media Missed the Point of World Youth Day

The Catholic Church — at least in the West — is passing through a dark period, largely of its own making. But has the Catholic Church lost the future? The mainstream media wants you to think so. But any of those who experienced World Youth Day firsthand would say, “Don’t you believe it.”

Article Source: National Catholic Register

I have just completed one of the most extraordinary weeks of my life.

For the past eight days, I participated in World Youth Day in Madrid, a gathering of some 1.5 million Catholic young people with Pope Benedict XVI. I met enthusiastic teen and 20-something Catholics from the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, Sweden, Nigeria, England, Australia, New Zealand, China, the Philippines, India, Denmark and many other countries.

The universality of the Church has never been, for me anyway, on fuller and more thrilling display. My Word on Fire team and I were especially encouraged to see so concretely the outreach that the Internet and the new media provide. To hear, over and again, and in dozens of different accents, that our videos and podcasts have made a difference in people’s lives was deeply gratifying.

Some images that will be forever burned in my memory: a 20,000-seat arena, absolutely filled with young Catholics rocking, stomping and singing; Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York, striding the stage like a pro, delivering one-liners worthy of David Letterman, and sharing the unvarnished Gospel with his youthful audience; giving a talk in a very hot room, jammed to the rafters with kids eager to hear about the process of discerning a vocation; hordes of young Catholics, wearing their distinctive yellow World Youth Day T-shirts, carrying overloaded backpacks, and marching through the streets of Madrid like a non-violent army; hundreds of fresh-faced religious in their distinctive habits, joyfully making their way through the various venues; tens of thousands of people kneeling in silent adoration of the Blessed Sacrament; the Successor of Peter presiding over a crowd of 1.5 million at an airfield southwest of Madrid; a steady stream of kids asking where they could find the adoration chapel or how they could arrange for confession; Benedict XVI himself, drenched with rain, but willing to stick it out with the giant crowd that was enduring a downpour in order to hear him.

Making Headlines

Pope Benedict XVI being swamped by young supporters (Photo Source: Reuters/ Dom's Donald's Blog)

A week ago, the Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI made incredible headline news both local as well as international news such as CNN, BCC, Al-Jazeera, AP, Reuters etc, when he visited Madrid, Spain for the 26th World Youth Day which was attended by more than 1 million youths from different countries around the globe.

This Catholic Church’s youth event always makes headlines. An event anticipated by many journalists and press people because during the World Youth Day events there is much to cover—the Pope who is one of the most powerful leaders of the world leading more than 1.1 billion people on eart—the successor of St. Peter the Apostle, the Vicar of Christ on earth.

In 1995 World Youth Day in Manila, the Pope garnered the biggest Papal event in history surpassing what was expected—4 million people spilling in every streets of Luneta.

Evangelical Laura Locke Conversion Story

Laura Locke Conversion story from WhyImCatholic.com

Laura is an educator and freelance writer in Calgary, Canada.

The road to Catholicism for new converts is as varied as the personalities of converts themselves. Mine came by means of the sublimely cracked perspective of a neurological disorder called Tourette Syndrome.

Raised in a mainstream Protestant church, I found myself drawn to evangelical circles in early adult life by the zeal and commitment I found there. Active church involvement, university, marriage, three kids and a fulfilling career in education filled the years that followed. Time sailed along at the hectic pace of most young families, until our youngest son, Peter, started having marked difficulty coping with the normal, everyday stresses of school life.

Though bright academically, he was thrown into a tailspin of anxiety by sudden transitions or unexpected requests. Normally a real charmer, with precocious flashes of wit and insight, he started to become an irritable, inflexible perfectionist. By age nine he developed a number of odd obsessions, such as having to repeat explanations over and over and over. Angry outbursts became all too common, triggered by very minor incidents. We consulted school psychologists and doctors and received plenty of well-meant advice, but no explanations of why this was happening.

Jealousy?

Glory is given to buildings, colors, symbols, and 'inc"-- ultimately give praise to the founder

Have we got any answers for these pressing questions to the Iglesia ni Cristo of Felix Manalo?

What's in their LOGO?

What's the meaning of their FLAG?

What's the meaning of their 97th Year Anniversary Logo?

These are the new "baal" being worshiped-- buildings, symbols, colors, and the "inc" abbreviations. Yes, they do not have images of "saints" (Christian heroes) but their buildings, logos, symbols, tri-color and their registered name are their new gods being worshiped.

Those abbreviations "inc" is another form of marketing their registered trademarks.

That symbol, what does it mean?

Those "crescents" tri-color, what do the mean?

The color, the number, the registered name in tagalog "Iglesia ni Cristo"-- a form of a "god"?

Or you mean "Iglesia ni Cristo-Church of Christ" by Felix Manalo?

The Green, White and Red, what does it mean?

"inc"?

Israel Pounded Islamists in Gaza against Egypt border attacks

Judaism and Islam both have the Law of Retaliation: "An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth". Bloodshed will never end. Jesus came to perfect the Law. "But I say to you, offer no resistance to one who is evil. When someone strikes you on (your) right cheek, turn the other one to him as well." -Matthew 5:38. Please pray for our elder brethren (Jews) and our younger brethren (Muslims) that they may finally find God in peace (Shalom-Salam). -CD2000

By Adel Zaanoun, AFP

RAFAH, Palestinian Territories (AFP) - Israeli planes killed seven Palestinians and wounded another six in Gaza Friday in retaliation for suspected Islamist militants killing eight Israelis near the Egyptian border.

Two of the Gaza dead were members of the Popular Resistance Committees, a radical Islamist group that Israel blames for Thursday's fatal ambushes in the southern Negev desert. Two more were from Islamic Jihad.

HOW DID THE CATHOLIC CHURCH GET HER NAME?

Catholic Church in Akrur, Eritrea, Africa (Source: Wikipedia)
Kenneth D. Whitehead from EWTN

The Creed which we recite on Sundays and holy days speaks of one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. As everybody knows, however, the Church referred to in this Creed is more commonly called just the Catholic Church. It is , by the way, properly called the Roman Catholic Church, but simply the Catholic Church.

The term Roman Catholic is not used by the Church herself; it is a relatively modern term, and one, moreover, that is confined largely to the English language. The English-speaking bishops at the First Vatican Council in 1870, in fact, conducted a vigorous and successful campaign to insure that the term Roman Catholic was nowhere included in any of the Council's official documents about the Church herself, and the term was not included.

Similarly, nowhere in the 16 documents of the Second Vatican Council will you find the term Roman Catholic. Pope Paul VI signed all the documents of the Second Vatican Council as "I, Paul. Bishop of the Catholic Church." Simply that—Catholic Church. There are references to the Roman curia, the Roman missal, the Roman rite, etc., but when the adjective Roman is applied to the Church herself, it refers to the Diocese of Rome!

Cardinals, for example, are called cardinals of the Holy Roman Church, but that designation means that when they are named to be cardinals they have thereby become honorary clergy of the Holy Father's home diocese, the Diocese of Rome. Each cardinal is given a titular church in Rome, and when the cardinals participate in the election of a new pope. they are participating in a process that in ancient times was carried out by the clergy of the Diocese of Rome.

Although the Diocese of Rome central to the Catholic Church, this does not mean that the Roman rite, or, as is sometimes said, the Latin rite, is co-terminus with the Church as a whole; that would mean neglecting the Byzantine, Chaldean, Maronite or other Oriental rites which are all very much part of the Catholic Church today, as in the past.

In our day, much greater emphasis has been given to these "non-Roman" rites of the Catholic Church. The Second Vatican Council devoted a special document, (Decree on Eastern Catholic Churches), to the Eastern rites which belong to the Catholic Church, and the new Catechism of the Catholic Church similarly gives considerable attention to the distinctive traditions and spirituality of these Eastern rites.

So the proper name for the universal Church is the Roman Catholic Church. Far from it. That term caught on mostly in English-speaking countries; it was promoted mostly by Anglicans, supporters of the "branch theory" of the Church, namely, that the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church of the creed was supposed to consist of three major branches, the Anglican, the Orthodox and the so-called Roman Catholic. It was to avoid that kind of interpretation that the English-speaking bishops at Vatican I succeeded in warning the Church away from ever using the term officially herself: It too easily could be misunderstood.

The Cathedral in Canterbury in England once owned by the Catholic Church seized by King Henry VIII, now owned by the Anglican Church (Source: Wikipedia)
Today in an era of widespread dissent in the Church, and of equally widespread confusion regarding what authentic Catholic identity is supposed to consist of, many loyal Catholics have recently taken to using the term Roman Catholic in order to affirm their understanding that the Catholic Church of the Sunday creed is the same Church that is united with the Vicar of Christ in Rome, the Pope. This understanding of theirs is correct, but such Catholics should nevertheless beware of using the term, not only because of its dubious origins in Anglican circles intending to suggest that there just might be some other Catholic Church around somewhere besides the Roman one: but also because it often still is used today to suggest that the Roman Catholic Church is something other and lesser than the Catholic Church of the creed. It is commonly used by some dissenting theologians, for example, who appear to be attempting to categorize the Roman Catholic Church as just another contemporary "Christian denomination"—not the body that is identical with the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church of the creed.

The proper name of the Church, then, is the Catholic Church. It is not ever called "the Christian Church," either. Although the prestigious Oxford University Press currently publishes a learned and rather useful reference book called "The Oxford Book of the Christian Church," the fact is that there has never been a major entity in history called by that name; the Oxford University Press has adopted a misnomer, for the Church of Christ has never been called the Christian Church.

There is, of course, a Protestant denomination in the United States which does call itself by that name, but that particular denomination is hardly what the Oxford University Press had in mind when assigning to its reference book the title that it did. The assignment of the title in question appears to have been one more method, of which there have been so many down through history, of declining to admit that there is, in fact, one—and only one—entity existing in the world today to which the designation "the Catholic Church" in the Creed might possibly apply.

The entity in question, of course, is just that: the very visible, worldwide Catholic Church, in which the 263rd successor of the Apostle Peter, Pope John Paul II, teaches, governs and sanctifies, along with some 3,000 other bishops around the world, who are successors of the apostles of Jesus Christ.

As mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles, it is true that the followers of Christ early became known as "Christians" (cf. Acts 11:26). The name Christian, however, was never commonly applied to the Church herself. In the New Testament itself, the Church is simply called "the Church." There was only one. In that early time there were not yet any break-away bodies substantial enough to be rival claimants of the name and from which the Church might ever have to distinguish herself.

Very early in post-apostolic times, however. the Church did acquire a proper name—and precisely in order to distinguish herself from rival bodies which by then were already beginning to form. The name that the Church acquired when it became necessary for her to have a proper name was the name by which she has been known ever since—the Catholic Church.

The name appears in Christian literature for the first time around the end of the first century. By the time it was written down, it had certainly already been in use, for the indications are that everybody understood exactly what was meant by the name when it was written.

Around the year A.D. 107, a bishop, St. Ignatius of Antioch in the Near East, was arrested, brought to Rome by armed guards and eventually martyred there in the arena. In a farewell letter which this early bishop and martyr wrote to his fellow Christians in Smyrna (today Izmir in modern Turkey), he made the first written mention in history of "the Catholic Church." He wrote, "Where the bishop is present, there is the Catholic Church" (To the Smyrnaeans 8:2). Thus, the second century of Christianity had scarcely begun when the name of the Catholic Church was already in use.

Thereafter, mention of the name became more and more frequent in the written record. It appears in the oldest written account we possess outside the New Testament of the martyrdom of a Christian for his faith, the "Martyrdom of St. Polycarp," bishop of the same Church of Smyrna to which St. Ignatius of Antioch had written. St. Polycarp was martyred around 155, and the account of his sufferings dates back to that time. The narrator informs us that in his final prayers before giving up his life for Christ, St. Polycarp "remembered all who had met with him at any time, both small and great, both those with and those without renown, and the whole Catholic Church throughout the world."

We know that St. Polycarp, at the time of his death in 155, had been a Christian for 86 years. He could not, therefore, have been born much later than 69 or 70. Yet it appears to have been a normal part of the vocabulary of a man of this era to be able to speak of "the whole Catholic Church throughout the world."

The name had caught on, and no doubt for good reasons.

The term "catholic" simply means "universal," and when employing it in those early days, St. Ignatius of Antioch and St. Polycarp of Smyrna were referring to the Church that was already "everywhere," as distinguished from whatever sects, schisms or splinter groups might have grown up here and there, in opposition to the Catholic Church.

The term was already understood even then to be an especially fitting name because the Catholic Church was for everyone, not just for adepts, enthusiasts or the specially initiated who might have been attracted to her.

Again, it was already understood that the Church was "catholic" because—to adopt a modern expression—she possessed the fullness of the means of salvation. She also was destined to be "universal" in time as well as in space, and it was to her that applied the promise of Christ to Peter and the other apostles that "the powers of death shall not prevail" against her (Mt 16:18).

The Catechism of the Catholic Church in our own day has concisely summed up all the reasons why the name of the Church of Christ has been the Catholic Church: "The Church is catholic," the Catechism teaches, "[because] she proclaims the fullness of the faith. She bears in herself and administers the totality of the means of salvation. She is sent out to all peoples. She speaks to all men. She encompasses all times. She is 'missionary of her very nature"' (no. 868).

So the name became attached to her for good. By the time of the first ecumenical council of the Church, held at Nicaea in Asia Minor in the year 325 A.D., the bishops of that council were legislating quite naturally in the name of the universal body they called in the Council of Nicaea's official documents "the Catholic Church." As most people know, it was that same council which formulated the basic Creed in which the term "catholic" was retained as one of the four marks of the true Church of Christ. And it is the same name which is to be found in all 16 documents of the twenty-first ecumenical council of the Church, Vatican Council II.

It was still back in the fourth century that St. Cyril of Jerusalem aptly wrote, "Inquire not simply where the Lord's house is, for the sects of the profane also make an attempt to call their own dens the houses of the Lord; nor inquire merely where the church is, but where the Catholic Church is. For this is the peculiar name of this Holy Body, the Mother of all, which is the Spouse of Our Lord Jesus Christ" (, xviii, 26).

The same inquiry needs to be made in exactly the same way today, for the name of the true Church of Christ has in no way been changed. It was inevitable that the Catechism of the Catholic Church would adopt the same name today that the Church has had throughout the whole of her very long history.

Islamist Attacked Mosque in Pakistan killing 40 on Friday during Islam's Holiest Month in Ramadan

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — A suicide bomber struck a mosque in a Pakistani tribal region during Friday prayers, officials said, killing at least 40 people and wounding 85 others in the deadliest attack in the country in recent weeks.

The attack came during the holy month of Ramadan, a time of fasting, sharing and heightened community spirit for Muslims.

No group immediately claimed responsibility, but the Taliban and other Islamist militants have previously targeted mosques, especially if they believe enemies — such as army soldiers or anti-militant tribesmen — are using the facilities.

The mosque hit Friday is in Ghundi, a village in the Khyber tribal region, a part of Pakistan's tribal belt. Khyber has long been a base for Islamist militants, and the Pakistani army has waged multiple operations aimed at pacifying the region but with limited success.

Khyber also is a key region for the U.S. and NATO, because a large portion of non-lethal supplies heading to U.S. forces in Afghanistan passes through it.

Some 300 people had gathered for prayers Friday afternoon in the Sunni mosque, and many were on their way out when the explosion occurred, local administrator Iqbal Khan said.

"All the evidence we have gathered confirms that it is a suicide attack," said Fazal Khan, another local official who also confirmed the casualty figures. He said witnesses alleged the bomber was a young man.

I've got another filty comments from a member of the Iglesia ni Cristo of Manalo who introduced himself the Real Elias Ibarra (see also  his forum posts here, comment extracted from our post Iglesia ni Cristo History, News and Events.

I am Elias Ibarra!!! It was the Roman Catholic priests who ordered the killing of Dr. Jose Rizal since the Philippines at that time was ruled by a Governor-General who usually was the Archbishop of Manila!!! The Philippines was landgrabbed by the Roman Catholic Church upon orders by the Pope dividing the world between two Roman Catholic countries, Spain and Portugal when the Treaty of Tordesillas was formulated!!! You are all murderers based on world history's account of your inquisitions, crusades, and ethnic cleansings against the Jews, Muslims, Pagans, and the first century Church of Christ which was established by the Lord Jesus in the City of Jerusalem!!! Now, call PAGCOR and PCSO to defend you here!!! Your lies are exposed!!!

The real Elias and Ibarra are found in Noli Me Tangere of Dr. Jose Rizal.  You must be the "FAKE" Elias Ibarra just as many INC members FAKE their names or hide in ANONYMOUS and to some degree, steal pseudonyms to hide their real identity. Don't worry, we've encountered bunch of your kind from the Iglesia ni Cristo cult.

How Felix Manalo ordained himself by interpreting biblical prophecy

By: Monks Hobbit (emphasis mine)
Question
Submitted by Artsee on 2011/08/10 at 12:16 am

Another good research. But how reliable is “google”? You mentioned that Catholic Catechism quoted biblical verses. Can you give me the exact verses that we should worship idols, graven images and statues? That Christ is God in the bible? There’s Trinity in the Bible?

Response
Submitted on 2011/08/11 at 6:59 pm |

Artsee,

The Trinity is a truth deduced from the Bible and from the testimony of those who heard the apostles:

Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.19 h Go, therefore,* and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit,20 i teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.* And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” (Mt 28:18-20)

The ‘truth’ that Felix Manalo’s INC is foretold in the Bible is a ‘truth’ deduced by Manalo. So if you ask me to search for the word “Trinity” in the Bible, I shall also ask you to search for “Felix Manalo” in the Bible. Remember the words of Christ: “I came in the name of my Father, but you do not accept me; yet if another comes in his own name, you will accept him.” Unlike Christ, Felix Manalo came in his own name for no one sent him except his deluded self, and he twisted the Scriptures in order that they prophesy his coming, leading many in INC astray.

Read it from ReadMe himself:

WHO ORDAINED BRO. FELIX MANALO?

Straight from the pasugo, here it is:

Ordination is the investiture of ministerial or sacerdotal function through the laying on of hands. The first ordination mentioned in the bible was when Moses laid his hands on Joshua to be his successor.

Moses, however, had no need of anyone to ordain him because his commissioning was mandated by God himself—this is also why Bro. Felix Manalo had no need to be ordained. No man has the right to ordain another unless he is sent by God to preach his words(Rom.10:15). Bro. Felix Manalo was directly appointed by God through the prophecies recorded in the bible fulfilled in him.

Through prophecy, God commissioned his chosen servant from the “ends of the earth” refers to the period of when Judgment day is near signified by the outbreak of the First World War on July 27,1914. (Mt. 24:3,33,6-8). God chose Bro. Felix Manalo to proclaim his righteousness which is the gospel of salvation (Rom. 1:16-17). Concomitant with this right to preach was the authority for him to ordain would-be ministers.

From Pasugo September 1999

This is what the verse in Mt 24:4 says: “See that no one deceives you.5 For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and they will deceive many.6 You will hear of wars 5 and reports of wars; see that you are not alarmed, for these things must happen, but it will not yet be the end.7

Does that verse refer to Felix Manalo? Did he come in the name of Christ, saying he is the messiah, and in doing so deceived many?

No one is ordained from mere prophecy alone. Moses was sent directly by God from the burning bush (Ex 3:10). David was ordained king by Samuel pouring oil on his head (1 Sam 16:13). Jesus was also baptized by John (Mk 1:9; Lk 4:18). No one directly ordained Manalo–as INC claims. Is Manalo greater than Moses, David, and Jesus?

Why the Scandals Increased My Faith in the Church by Jeniffer Fulwiler

When people hear that my husband and I began exploring Catholicism in 2005, one of the first questions they often ask is, “What about the sexual abuse scandals? Didn’t that scare you away from the Church?”

They’re usually surprised when I report that the answer is no; in fact, the scandals and the negative media coverage actually increased my faith in the Church. Here’s why:

Getting the Facts Straight

One of the first things I did was to look into the numbers behind the sexual abuse cases. Was I heading into an institution that was filled with sexual predators, as the media would have me believe? I was shocked to find that, by even the most anti-Catholic organizations’ estimates, only about 2 percent of Catholic priests had even been accused of sexual misconduct. And certainly the cover-ups by members of the hierarchy were deplorable, but my research led me to see that that was common in all organizations, not just the Church. To list just one of the many examples, in Washington there were 159 coaches accused of sexual misconduct with minors over a 10-year period. Ninety-eight of them continued to coach or teach. And how did the school hierarchies respond? To quote this article: Read more here...

Catholic Relief Services needs support for Africa drought relief

Two leading Catholic bishops have asked their fellow bishops to encourage pastors and parishioners to support Catholic Relief Services' emergency relief efforts in the Horn of Africa, suggesting that churches hold a second collection to address the need.

"Every day we are seeing more and more heartbreaking news about the drought and famine in Somalia and the eastern parts of Africa. We see millions of people being forced from their homes, leaving behind what meager possessions they had, and walking for days over rough terrain," Archbishop Timothy M. Dolan of New York and Bishop Gerald F. Kicanas of Tucson wrote.

Archbishop Dolan heads the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, while Bishop Kicanas chairs the board of Catholic Relief Services.

Catholic Relief Services "can use all the help we can offer in this current tragic situation," they said.

"Through CRS our generosity could literally feed thousands and provide them clean water, shelter and other life-saving goods. Over time, CRS will be able to expand already proven drought mitigation and other development programs that unfortunately are now only available in a handful of villages."

Over 12 million people in Kenya, Somalia and Ethiopia need urgent humanitarian assistance because of one of the worst droughts in decades. Lack of rainfall, attributed to the weather cycle phenomenon known as La NiƱa, has caused failed crops, livestock deaths and critical shortages in food and water.

"There are parents whose little children have died, and children who have been orphaned. They are suffering from hunger, thirst, disease, and drought," the two bishops said. "It is a humanitarian crisis that cries out for help to Christians throughout the world."

Catholic Relief Services has worked in East Africa for decades and is responding to the present emergency. The relief agency is expanding its food distribution program to 1.1 million people and is working closely with local partners to provide basic necessities to highly vulnerable displaced families.

"The Holy Father, on several occasions, has asked Catholics to respond generously to the desperate needs of our brothers and sisters in East Africa," Archbishop Dolan and Bishop Kicanas said.

Looking back in my Christian walk of over 30 years, I can now see my steps into the Catholic Church as a reflection of the poem "Footprints in the Sand". My feet have traveled into many Christian denominations the past 30 years, such as Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian USA, PCA, Assembly of God, Non-denomination and Bible Church. My footprints and Jesus' prints were side by side for several of those years. Then somewhere during those years (for many years) I looked down and I could only see one set of prints, thinking they were mine and I was alone in this journey. My love for Jesus was so real in my life, but why could I not feel at peace in the church? I felt alone in this walk and began to think just maybe something was wrong with me. Now, I see that they were Jesus' footprints carrying me into the Catholic Faith. Fifteen years ago my faith was challenged in the church I attended in which I was a member. I was hurt deeply and this was when my journey into the Catholic faith began, not having a clue this is where my journey would end. Fifteen years ago "Catholic" was not in my vocabulary. My search for a new church began after I was hurt and my feet trotted to many denominations with no peace to be found. A place of worship "one on one", worship with my Lord, was my heart's desire. An anointed sermon and music (praise & worship) was my agenda, and yes I found this in many churches I attended. I also loved to study the Word of God. A good study was encouraging as well. Good sermons, good music and good teaching meant a good church. I traveled into several "Jesus and Me" churches.

On the Radicalization of Anders Behring Breivik

Is there any way that Anders Behring is a "Christian Terrorist" just as mainstream media wants to depict him? However Anders Behring never quoted the Bible nor been visiting any church so as to consider him performing violence in the name of Christ.

Is there any way that Jihad Watch owner Robert Spencer might have "radicalized" Behring? In his manifesto, Behring already planned his violence since 1990, while Mr. Spencer start blogging only in 2003 right after the Islamic Terrorist attack in the US. Watch this video and learn how to disseminate the truth about Anders Behring's violence and that simply branding him as "Christian Terrorist" is ironical and misleading. -CD2000

The media are blaming critics of Islam (such as Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller) for the radicalization of Norwegian terrorist Anders Behring Breivik. However, Breivik said that he turned to terrorism in response to media censorship. Who's to blame for his extremism?

INC News: INC members around the world celebrate their FOUNDING Anniversary

What's in this logo? The Unexplained INC 97th Anniversary Logo
Never it was mentioned in this opinionated "news" article that Felix Manalo FOUNDED and registered the INC in the Philippines in 1914. Their much publicized founding anniversary celebrations each year is the best proof that they recognized 1914 as their historically FOUNDING year, such that our Gregorian Calendars having 2011 shows how old is the TRUE CHURCH today -- it's Two Thousand and Eleven years approximately  for Christ said (Mt. 16), "the gates of hell can never prevail" and that He "will remain" with us "until the ends of times." (Mt. 28:20). That's Christ SOLEMN promise and is being fulfilled in our midst!

Unlike Christian celebration such as Christians is celebrated around the world exulting Jesus Christ's birth on Christmas, their celebration is like a little "christmas" but instead of Christ, Felix Manalo, their founder is being exulted and the Manalo clan being praised for expanding their corporation registered as "Iglesia ni Cristo."

Note: As a registered corporation under the law of the Republic, their registered name in Tagalog "Iglesia ni Cristo" should never be translated "alone" in any article in the news. Regardless of what language being used, their registered name "Iglesia ni Cristo" should always be written in that way-- TAGALOG as it was registered. -CD2000

Evangelical Convert: Richard Maffeo from Why I'm Catholic

Richard Maffeo
(source: Why I'm Catholic)

Richard was born into a Jewish home in 1950. Twenty-two years later, he discovered Jesus is the Jewish Messiah, and served Him in evangelical Protestant churches for more than thirty-two years. In 2005 he was received into the Catholic Church.

My movement in 1972 from Jewish faith to Christ was so profound an experience, I can tell you when it happened, where I was and what I was doing when I committed myself to the Lord and joined the Protestant church.

But I cannot tell you when I knew I belonged in the Catholic Church. That process was more gradual. I didn't know I was moving toward Rome until I opened my eyes and discovered I had arrived.

When some of my Protestant friends found out about my reception into the Catholic Church they asked me why. They’d known me a long time, some more than 30 years. We’d studied Scripture together, attended similar evangelical churches and enjoyed lively debates about our beliefs.

Why did I become a Catholic Christian? Ironically, my answer is rooted in my Protestant experience, and it is with thanksgiving I confess my debt to that experience.

milzir said (kaanib ng INC-1914)...

VATICAN RELATIONS in GREEN COLOR (Source: Wikipedia)

IGLESIA KATOLIKA!
