"The Christianity of history is not Protestantism. If ever there were a safe truth it is this, and Protestantism has ever felt it so; to be deep in history is to cease to be a Protestant." (-John Henry Newman, An Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine).

"Where the bishop is, there let the people gather; just as where ever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church". -St. Ignatius of Antioch (ca 110 AD)a martyr later thrown to the lions, wrote to a church in Asia Minor. Antioch was also where the term "Christian" was first used.

“But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth.” 1 Timothy 3:15

"This is the sole Church of Christ, which in the Creed we profess to be one, holy, catholic and apostolic." -CCC 811

The Iglesia ni Cristo® Block-Voting is just a myth!

How much do we know about the "Block-Voting" doctrine of the Iglesia ni Cristo® Unipersonal Corporation? How many adherents do the INC® has today that their supposed number could ensure a winner when their actual number is being held from the public?

Iglesia ni Cristo® Logo
How many elligible Iglesia® voters are going to the polls tomorrow to actually vote and how many would be following their doctrine of pagkakaisa? And how many would be defying their elders instead?

We do not know. Unless someone would be monitoring them within the polling stations who'd be turning against their own leader's choice.

Relying on rumors the Iglesia ni Cristo® is bragging an an estimated 5 million votes from its members. For me, that's presumptuous!

We all know that they don't have such a huge number. Or if they have, a solid vote from the INC® is impossible. Well, all we know is that the Iglesia ni Cristo® is playing its political trick again making us believe a myth that their number is powerful enough to determine who would win the elections.

Among the Philippine presidential candidates, the council of elders of the cult founded by Felix Manalo in 1914 finally decided to throw their support to Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III whose popularity is credited, not to the Iglesia ni Cristo® myth but thanks to his devout Catholic parents who are members of Christ's ONLY TRUE CHURCH.

Unlike the Iglesia ni Cristo®, Christ's true Church-- the Catholic Church do not endorse any candidate. Instead the choice is left to individuals according to the dictates of their consciences [Catholic Info]. The Catholic Church respects the individual freedom everyone has however what the Church can do is to ensure there's a peaceful and orderly elections.

The block-voting of the Iglesia ni Cristo® has sparked much controversy both in political and spiritual forums in the internet. Some would argue that this doctrine of the cult directly violates that of our Constitution which prohibits the meddling of spiritual leaders into the affairs of the government. For it's 95 years, the Iglesia ni Cristo® has contributed nothing to the development of the entire nation. Their housing projects are directed only to its members, something not to be proud of.

But why is the Iglesia ni Cristo®’s doctrine attracted so much attention to politicians? Why are they dictating its members like robots? Because they're politicians. And Iglesia ni Cristo® is never a religion but a disguising one. In other words, it's a cult more than a religion.

So how many member do the Iglesia ni Cristo® has today? No one knows. It's one of the Iglesia ni Cristo's many hidden SECRETS.

Significantly, we can refer to how much the ALAGAD PARTY LIST (an Iglesia ni Cristo Party List). From it's vote, we can estimate how many are its members. According to this blog, the actual votes the ALAGAD PARTY LIST got was ONLY 340,977 that is Three Hundred Forty Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-Seven only. That means they've got just only that much. Although the Philippine Inquirer says their number reaches only 1.8 million according to National Statistic Office 2000 census.
"In the 2000 census, the National Statistics Office put the INC membership in the country at 1.8 million or around 2.3 percent of the total population [emphasis mine]."
How much? It's just 2.3 percent of the total population of the entire country. But here is the most damaging part. The late Erano Manalo admitted that fact! "...dinadaya ang numero.."[they (their Ministers) are cheating their numbers...](Watch YouTube)

Just don't get the credit Iglesia ni Cristo®. Before its central administration even throw their support to Noynoy he was already leading in poll surveys rivaling Villar and Erap (whom they supported in 1998 but now they junked him). Thanks to the support of strong business groups, democracy advocates, die-hard Cory-Ninoy fans and Catholic religious communities including priests who are indebted to his parents-- that helped him most likely to win -- not the Iglesia ni Cristo® myth.

A CHALLENGE TO THE IGLESIA NI CRISTO® ADMINISTRATION!

Let's test their power instead. Its central administration should endorse one of its members to run for Presidency. Let's see if their block-voting could help him/her win. Then we can be sure that they have the the magic number to make a candidate win.

But so far, the Iglesia ni Cristo®'s doctrine of pagkakaisa in block-voting IS JUST A MYTH!

  4. Oh, so where can I research for an accurate number of INC affiliates? Do you have any official website or at least an official directory that says something about your number?

    N-O-N-E!

At nagtatago ka pa sa pangalang Matilda?!

Well, so far my data is correct and all you can do is to fret out and accuse me of wrong information when you have no better alternative.

    shooo...

    5. Ang mga kandidato niyo eh bunga ng Exit Poll Survey Results. Kung sino ang natutunugan niyong lamang ang siyang sinusuportahan niyo. Sure win kasi. Tapos kapag nanalo eh you take the credit.

Bakit ilang ba ang botante ng INC? Ang total population nila ay wala pa sa 2 million kasama na riyan ang mga bata so ang number of voters is less.

Magsuri raw. Eh yung mga nagsusuri nga sa yamang napupunta sa bulsa ni Jun Santos at EVM ayaw niyo namang pasuri tapos sabihin mo magsuri.

      Salamat sa joke. God bless

  7. @Carlo, wherever you are in the world you can know Catholic Director OFFICIALLY, let say for example HERE. Your cult don't have that. So why do I have to travel accross the globe just to get your exact number? I won't waste my time and money.

Chismis? Well why not provide the accurate number. You love secrecy don't you? Yon ang chismis!

Praise to Jesus Christ our God!

  8. @ Matilda, so you don't actually care who wins? Then why there's such an issue with your "Block-Voting"?

Or you are just being affected with the result of the recent ALAGAD PARTY LIST number of votes?

    I am just wondering?

  12. @ryan bautista,

    good luck.

  13. Response of ALAGAD Party-List on the following URL (Uniform Resource Locator) addresses:

    http://catholicdefender2000.blogspot.com/2009/05/inc-not-meddling-in-politics-really-oh.html

    Dear Catholic Defender:

I was compelled to respond to your false and unfair accusations appearing on the URLs cited above, not much to correct these misguided and baseless diatribes against ALAGAD Party-List (APL), but more so to enlighten you on your malicious and unfortunate inferences that should not in any way relate to the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC). First of all, ALAGAD Party-List is not an affiliate of the INC, whether directly or indirectly. Being represented in Congress by an INC member with proven track record and nominated by the Party through rigid selection process does not make the APL an affiliate of INC. For your elementary education, APL is a sectoral organization founded in November 1997 by Diogenes Osabel, a Catholic and former official of the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor, with the assistance of four (4) founding members one of whom is a Muslim (Datu Usman Rasuman). As before, APL’s membership today is still 99.99% Catholic.

The votes garnered by APL as of the last Comelec Canvass Report (227,180) dated May 17, 2010 (and those in 2004) should not be mistakenly equated as to the voting strength of the INC. You should be resourceful enough to know that APL is not the only party-list group assisted by the INC. In 1998 to 2004, the INC also helped TAPAT, BUTIL, AKLAT, CREBA, AVE and BUHAY to mention a few. Unless you pretend to be ignorant of the facts, BUHAY and CIBAC were also supported in the 2010 elections, along with others more. But I am just curious as to why you are so jumpy about the INC’s actual membership? Is the INC equally interested to know your numbers?

APL housing project (1 so far) does not cater to INC members. This is so because a project of this kind presupposes the registration of a homeowners’ association which membership are actual residents in the area—no exceptions. Party-List solons are presently not entitled to NHA allocations and, therefore, such project has to be coursed through a sympathetic district representative who is also interested in helping his own constituents. Besides, if Catholic Defender still plays ignorant about it, the INC neither expect nor accept favors from political organizations and candidates that it supported during elections.

APL is a sectoral party representing the urban poor in Congress. With the country’s present population of 92 million, APL advocates the use of artificial contraceptives in planning the family. While APL agrees that the growth of population is not the only cause of poverty in this country, it still maintains that poverty can be alleviated through a well managed population growth as in the case of our neighboring Asian countries. Studies from the Asian Development Bank and noted economists from the United Nations confirmed this position and which is why the Philippines is a signatory to the covenants of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) of September 2002.

I hope the foregoing will help you clarify the issues unfairly linking the INC to the APL. It is high time that you mend your distorted and flawed reasoning. Otherwise, you will do well in calling yourself “Catholic Offender”.

  17. FreedomFighter, I notice something typical of ALL the INC® in the net. You call people by names..

You call Cenon Bibe as Demon este Cenon

Now you call me Catholic Offender... you don't imbibe respect in dialogue do you?

Anyway, Mr. Francia Conrado cannot fool Catholics. How could he say almost 99.99% members of ALAGAD are Catholics when in fact your group proudly announces how many condoms you distributed in different places in the Philippines?

So how ignorant are we about our own teachings and in fact you know nothing about Catholicism in that respect alone?

    Duh!
