"The Christianity of history is not Protestantism. If ever there were a safe truth it is this, and Protestantism has ever felt it so; to be deep in history is to cease to be a Protestant." (-John Henry Newman, An Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine).

"Where the bishop is, there let the people gather; just as where ever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church". -St. Ignatius of Antioch (ca 110 AD)a martyr later thrown to the lions, wrote to a church in Asia Minor. Antioch was also where the term "Christian" was first used.

“But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth.” 1 Timothy 3:15

"This is the sole Church of Christ, which in the Creed we profess to be one, holy, catholic and apostolic." -CCC 811

On Holy Images and Christmas: Iglesia ni Cristo's Many Hypocrisies!

One of the many HYPOCRISIES of the INC of Manalo.  They question our PHOTOS of JESUS and the SAINTS but here in their Pasugo Magazine (Manalo's INC Church official magazine) they freely publish IMAGES of JOSEPH, MARY and the BABY JESUS!

Concerning Christmas the same Pasugo questions:
"Thus, Christmas is purported to celebrate the birth of Christ.  But was this custom observed by the early Christians?"
But who are the early Christians they are referring to?

PASUGO April 1966, p. 46 says:

“The Catholic Church which is the Church of Christ from the beginning."

It's the CATHOLIC CHURCH!

And this EARLY CHURCH was found to have remained in the TRUE FAITH which all Iglesia members are advised to observe.

PASUGO June 1940, p. 27:

"How to care and keep our faith? We do nothing except to remain faithful to the teachings of God which we have studied. This was what the early Church did. They remained faithful and strong to the teachings of the apostles. This too we should also do."

And because of that, members of the Iglesia ni Cristo of Manalo at times in history celebrated Christmas just as the EARLY CHRISTIANS did.

PASUGO December 1957, p. 28: (written by Emeliano I. Agustin) (Poem)

“Ang diwa ng Pasko ay kapayapaan;
Nang mundong naglunoy sa lusak ng Buhay;
Mabuting balita sa kinalulugdan;
Pagsilang ni Jesus sa abang sabsaban."
And since they question Christmas date as UNBIBLICAL, what about JULY 27 INC Founding Anniversary?

Hypocrites!!!

Muslim mob burns Catholic church in Sudan capital

KHARTOUM, Sudan (AP) — A Muslim mob set ablaze a Catholic church frequented by Southern Sudanese in the capital Khartoum, witnesses and media reports said on Sunday.

The church in Khartoum's Al-Jiraif district was built on a disputed plot of land, but the Saturday night incident appeared to be part of the fallout from ongoing hostilities between Sudan and South Sudan over control of an oil town on their ill-defined border.

Sudan and South Sudan have been drawing closer to a full-scale war in recent months over the unresolved issues of sharing oil revenues and the disputed border.

Last week, South Sudanese troops seized Heglig, which the southerners call Panthou, sending Sudanese troops fleeing. The Khartoum government later claimed to have regained control of the town.

The witnesses and several newspapers said a mob of several hundred shouting insults at southerners torched the church. Fire engines could not put out the fire, they said.

One newspaper, Al-Sahafah, said the church was part of a complex that included a school and dormitories. Ethiopian refugees living in the Sudanese capital also used the church...

Is Iglesia ni Cristo the Church of Christ?

Article author was Bro. Quirino M. Sugon Jr. from his blog Monk's Hobbit posted under the tag Iglesia ni Cristo

Official flag of the INC Church of Manalo without official explanation
Fr. Daniel J. McNamara, S.J., during one of our walks years ago, told us: “The Iglesia ni Cristo is neither a church nor of Christ.” It is worthwhile to ponder on his words as Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) celebrates its 95th Anniversary last July 27, 2009–95 years after Felix Y. Manalo made the INC into a corporation with him as the executive minister last July 27, 1914.

A true church of Christ has four marks: one, holy, Catholic, apostolic (c.f. Catechism of the Catholic Church Art. 811 ). If one of this does not hold, then the Iglesia ni Cristo is a false church of Christ.

1. Is the Iglesia ni Cristo one? The INC is is united in doctrine and even in voting. No wonder many politicians who wished to be reelected this coming 2010 elections are all congratulating INC in its 95th anniversary. The INC passed the first test.

2. Is the Iglesia ni Cristo holy? The Catholic Church has produced numerous saints: beggars and kings, scholars and soldiers, old and young. Can the INC name at least one–only one–person in all its history whom they consider as a saint, a man or woman worthy of emulation, whose life reflected the radical message of the gospel–a Mother Teresa, an Ignatius of Loyola, a Francis of Assisi? The INC can give none.

3. Is the Iglesia ni Cristo catholic? Catholicity simply means universal. The INC is universal in space: the INC is now found in many countries and its mission is to convert the whole world. But the INC is not universal in time: where was INC in the first centuries of Christianity, when the truths of the Faith were debated and clarified? The INC was not there. It is true that INC proclaims an affinity with the teachings of Bishop Arius (AD 250-336), the founder of Arianism, a heresy which denies the divinity of Christ. But between Arius and Manalo is 1,600 years of absence.

Catholic also means “according to totality” or “in keeping with the whole” (Catechism of the Catholic Church Art. 830):

The Catholic Church is catholic because Christ is present in her. “Where there is Christ Jesus, there is the Catholic Church.” In her subsists the fullness of Christ’s body united with its head; this implies that she receives from him “the fullness of the means of salvation” which he has willed: correct and complete confession of faith, full sacramental life, and ordained ministry of apostolic succession. The Church was, in this fundamental sense, catholic on the day of Pentecost and will always be so until the day of Parousia.

The INC also claims this catholicity, for they also adopt the following catholic doctrine:

Outside the church there is no salvation.

I remembered one of INC’s television show called Tamang Daan, the Right Way in contrast to Eli Soriano’s Datin Daan or the Old Way. In their show, one of INC’s argument to support their doctrine is a quotation from a catholic author: “Outside the Church of Christ there is no salvation.” The two INC ministers–always two since two is the sign of Socratic dialogue for knowing the truth–will tell the readers that the text they are quoting has the imprimatur of the Catholic Church. Then they make a twist of Faith: translate this sentence in Filipino and you will see that “Outside Iglesia ni Cristo there is no salvation.” Oh, what a proof.

4. Is the Iglesia ni Cristo apostolic? To be apostolic, the INC must be founded by an apostle, in the same way as the Roman Catholic Church was founded by Apostles Peter and Paul. But the fact that INC only celebrated its 95th founding anniversary means that INC could never be founded by an apostle. An apostle was a person sent by Christ with the authority to preach the Kingdom of God (c.f. Mt 10). The apostles in turn ordained bishops and gave them authority to govern the church, as Timothy was ordained by Paul through the laying of the hands:

Do not neglect the gift you have, which was conferred on you through the prophetic word with the imposition of hands of the presbyterate. (1 Tim 4:14)

And these bishops in turn ordain new bishops to take their place. The Roman Catholic Church, for example, is apostolic because it traces its apostolic lineage from St. Peter, the first bishop of Rome, to the present pope, Pope Benedict XVI. But who ordained Manalo? Who laid hands on him? No one. He ordained himself. Oh, I made a mistake. Protestant pastors ordained him (full story by Emily Jordan). But INC never recognizes the Protestant faith. Mainline Protestants at least believes on the Divinity of Christ, which the INC reject. This itself poses a question on the validity of the Manalo’s ordination. (The validity of the Protestant minister’s apostolic succession is a separate issue.) So effectively, no one ordained Manalo. He ordained himself.

5. Thus, the Iglesia ni Cristo posesses only one mark of the true Church of Christ: it is one, but it is not holy, nor catholic, nor apostolic. Let us not be deceived. Not all those who are named Manny Pacquiao can box like the real Manny Pacquiao. Not all those who calls themselves the Church of Christ or Iglesia ni Cristo is the true Church of Christ. Only the Catholic Church is. The Church of Iglesia ni Cristo is a false church, an Anti-Church. The Christ of Iglesia ni Cristo is an Arian idol, an Anti-Christ. Let us not be deceived.

The Sect's 100th Anniversary and Politicians trying to win their hearts

Philippine Daily Inquirer says the INC Church of Manalo is a SECT.  Meanwhile QC Politicians are trying to win the hearts of Manalo's INC Church members hoping they would be endorsed by INC's little pope Eduardo for the next elections.-CD2000

"...Meanwhile, two other lawmakers have sought the designation of an Iglesia ni Cristo lane in the country’s international airports in anticipation of a large number of church members who will be flying in from all over the world to attend the sect’s 100th anniversary celebration in 2014.

In House Resolution No. 2163, Representatives Winnie Castelo and Jorge Banal of Quezon City asked the Bureau of Immigration to designate an INC centennial lane for “practical and courteous purposes” and not merely to give special treatment to church members."

PDI: The Iglesia ni Cristo Church was Founded by Felix Manalo has only 4 Million members

INC has been steadily spreading everywhere since its founding in the Philippines in 1914 by Felix M. Manalo, its Supremo, who died in 1963. It is a large, tightly knit indigenous Christian religious group that counts millions of members nationwide. According to the National Statistics Office in Manila, 2.3 percent of the entire Philippine population of 93 million is an INC affiliate. Its present head is Executive Minister Erano G. Manalo, the eldest son of Felix.

Letter to Pasugo: Why "Church of Christ" is Accurate

Here is another letter sent by a reader of Pasugo, INC's official magazine.

PASUGO/May 1994 | Volume 46 | Number 5 | ISSN 0116-1636 | Page 3

Why “Church of Christ” is Accurate

I AM AN avid reader of Pasugo. It is really interesting, convincing and I admire it so much.

By the way, like your many readers, I also have questions in my mind. It is about the mention of “Church of God” in most versions of the Bible instead of “Church of Christ.” I have noticed that whenever you refer to Acts 20:28 you always cite George Lamsa’s version which mentions “Church of Christ instead of “Church of God.” Well, why did Mr.Lamsa change the original version? Is he authorized to change the original version?

Elgee Guzman
Nueva Ecija
Philippines

Editor’s Reply:

Acts 20:28 in the George M. Lamsa version of the Bible reads:

“Take heed therefore to yourselves and to all the flock over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you overseers to feed the church of Christ which he has purchased with his blood.”

Lamsa’s version which mentions “church of Christ is accurate because the one who actually shed His blood for the Church of Christ. God, being a spirit (Jn. 4:24), has no flesh and bones (Lk. 24:36-39) and thus has no blood. Other versions of the Bible that render the same portion of Acts 20:28 as “church of God” are not accurate for God has no blood.

The Bible lists several names for the one Church built by Christ. It is called “Church of God” (I Thess. 2:14), “Church of the living God” (I Tim. 3:15). This Church of God is also of Christ because whatever is of God is also of Christ (Jn. 16:15; 17:9-10). It is called the Church of the Lord (Acts 20:28, American Standard Version) but the Lord referred to here is the one who shed His own blood for this church and this is the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 2:36) who washed the members of the Church with His own blood (Rev. 1:5).

Many Bible versions are done by people with a set of beliefs already in mind and this influenced their versions, thus changing the words of God. God’s words must not be made to contradict one another for God is not the author of confusion (I Cor. 14:33).

The biblical "church of Christ" is accurate but the INC's interpretation of the "church of Christ" which they love to translate to Tagalog (para magkatunog) "Iglesia ni Cristo" is NOT!

1. "church of Christ" (Acts 20:28 Lamsa Translation)
2. "churches of Christ" (Romans 16:16)

3. "Church of Christ" (Pasugo magazine in reference to Acts 20:28 quoting Lamsa's)
4. "Church of Christ" (Pasugo magazine in reference to Romans 16:16)

See the BIIIIG difference?!

In the Philippines where there are more than 78% of Catholics we also have a lot of IGNORANT ones. These ignorant Catholics are the easiest prey!

Much to our own frustration as Catholics is that these ignorant Catholics are CONTENTED on what was told them by Manalo's Church paid ministers. And when they finally embraced Manalo and his church, they become the fiercest anti-Catholics in the Philippines!

However, if you listen INTELLIGENTLY it is extremely DECEIVING to believe that when we say "church of Christ" or "Church of Christ" we mean exactly the same with the "Iglesia ni Cristo" of Manalo?

Manalo's INC Church CLAIMS every word "church(es) of Christ" being mentioned in Bible. They also CLAIM every time Catholic acknowledges the "Church of Christ" in its official pronouncements as THEM. Simply they translate "Church of Christ" (in reference to the Catholic Church) to Tagalog "Iglesia ni Cristo" so they conclude that the Catholic Church believes in the "Iglesia ni Cristo"

BUT why they are not CLAIMING every "Church of Christ" being registered in the United States as THEIRS?

At this time, you should be asking intelligently WHY?

ON LAMSA's ACTS 20:28

First you should be asking, Why only Acts 20:28 in Lamsa?  Who is GEORGE LAMSA? Is he a member of the Iglesia ni Cristo of Manalo?

No!

George Lamsa is NOT a member of MANALO's Church.  During his lifetime, Mr. Lamsa never heard of the Iglesia ni Cristo or even met Felix Manalo or any of the Manalo's in that respect alone. Lamsa for sure never acknowledged the claims of Manalo as the "Last Messenger."

Just as what this Pasugo Editor said "Many Bible versions are done by people with a set of beliefs already in mind and this influenced their versions, thus changing the words of God," George Lamsa's person version was INFLUENCED by his SET OF BELIEFS already in his mind.

Thus Lamsa's changing of the word "God" to "Christ" made to contradict God's word.

True, as Pasugo Editor said "God’s words must not be made to contradict one another for God is not the author of confusion (I Cor. 14:33)" however Lamsa's OWN distorted Bible version REFLECTS a god of CONFUSION, now being COPIED by the INC of Manalo --COPY-CAT (walang originality) church!

Iglesia ni Cristo of Manalo is sowing MORE CONFUSION nowadays having CONTRADICTING teachings, one teaching against another!

Yes, George Lamsa belongs to the ASSYRIAN CHURCH of the EAST which is HISTORICALLY an offshoot of NESTORIANISM.

Netorius was the heretical Bishop of Constantinople. His theology clearly showed that he DID NOT BELIEVE in the DEITY of Christ.  A doctrine COPIED by the INC of Manalo!

His theology was CONDEMNED by the CHURCH at the First Council of Ephesus in the year 431 A.D., 1,581 years before Felix Manalo thought he founded his Church in 1914.

We should not be confused NESTORIANISM from ARIANISM.  Nestorius was the Bishop of the See of Constantinople (Turkey) while Arius was the Bishop of See of Alexandria (Egypt).  Both were considered HERETICS by the CHURCH.

Here is something worth PONDERING:
(For Historical Records: Among the FIVE Ancient Apostolic Sees (Alexandria, Antioch, Constantinople, Jerusalem, and Rome -- ONLY ROME is still standing.  Rome is the SEE of PETER, LEADER of all the Churches. All other ancient See of Alexandria, Antioch, Constantinople and Jerusalem have lost their Sees eventually from invading Muslims and their cities nowadays are governed and controlled by Islam -- Rome indeed is the ETERNAL CITY chosen by God) for Christians!

During the time of INC's "Last Messenger" Felix Manalo, he was quoting ONLY Romans 16:16.  Lamsa's version was unknown to him.  Therefore, Lamsa's Acts 20:28 does not serve any benefit to Manalo's Church today since Lamsa NEVER acknowledged the Iglesia ni Cristo as historically the true Church.

For Lamsa, the true Church is the Assyrian Church of the East.

Today Christians in general DO NOT consider Lamsa's Version as scholarly accurate and faithful to the original Scriptures.  His Acts 20:28 which was originally written as "church of God" was deliberately changed to "church of Christ" for according to him, the Scripture should be in error since "God do not have blood", therefore it should be Christ's.-- "church of Christ."

But the Bible says "church of God" in Acts 20:28

Keep watch over yourselves and over the whole flock of which the holy Spirit has appointed you overseers,  in which you tend the church of God that he acquired with his own blood.

Because the same author, St. Paul believed too, that Jesus is God in the flesh (and blood)!

(Jesus) coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance..." Phil. 2:7
Jesus - in HUMAN LIKENESS, in HUMAN APPEARANCE, therefore Acts 20:28 is ACCURATELY written as "church of God"!

He was found to have abused the Scripture asserting his heretical theological stand according to "Nestorianism" which had been CONDEMNED 1,581 years as of this year 2012 AD.

ON ROMANS 16:16

Romans 16:16 has nothing to do with Manalo's founded Church-- the Iglesia ni Cristo.

"Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet YOU (emphasis mine)."

In Romans 16:16, the Bible confirms that "all the churches of Christ (ang lahat ng mga iglesia ni Cristo) were sending their greetings to YOU!

Who are these YOU being mentioned in Romans 16:16?

It's not the "Iglesia ni Cristo" in the Philippines rather, it's the CHURCH in ROME.

And that ALL THE CHURCHES OF CHRIST should be sending their greetings to "YOU"!

So if you think intelligently, you would be QUESTIONING the INC of Manalo why they are NOT SENDING its greetings to the (Church of ROME)?

ON INC's Biblical Reference about Christ being a Special Man and NOT God (Phil. 2: 9-11)

Manalo's INC Church usually finds CONVENIENTLY verses from the Bible which prove JESUS as a MAN only.

But then, from the same Bible, they cannot find any verse that DENIES His divinity as well.

So in order for them to justify their flawed logic and distorted theology, they said JESUS is not JUST an ORDINARY man but a very SPECIAL man.

To prove that, they claimed PHILIPPIANS 2:9-11.

In VERSE 9, it begins with "... Because of this...."

Here is what they DON'T like you to read!

Verses 5-8

"...though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped. Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and found human  in appearance, he humbled himself..."

Philippians 2 CONFIRMS the DEITY of JESUS, saying JESUS is in the FORM of GOD, something we should GRASPED at. The Bible says JESUS CAME in HUMAN LIKENESS and JESUS God in HUMAN APPEARANCE!

Manalo's INC Church is a TOTAL absurdity and DEFECTIVE, HERETICAL and un-BIBLICAL.  The Iglesia ni Cristo is a FAKE church, founded by a man who PROCLAIMED himself as "God's Last Prophet".

Believe!

LEAVE the Iglesia ni Cristo at once and redeem yourself through his TRUE CHURCH-- the HISTORICAL CHURCH -- the APOSTOLICAL CHURCH -- the BIBLICAL CHURCH -- the UNIVERSAL CHURCH of JESUS CHRIST! -- it's the CATHOLIC CHURCH and no other!

Officially, that's CONFIRMED from the Iglesia ni Cristo:

PASUGO Abril 1966, p. 46: “Ang Iglesia Katolika na sa pasimula ay siyang Iglesia ni Cristo."

Canadian Anglican Bishops Received Into Church

Parishes in Canada to Form Deanery Within US Ordinariate

In the photo are Bishops Peter Wilkinson and Carl Reid
(Source: The Anglican Catholic)
OTTAWA, APRIL 19, 2012 (Zenit.org).- In Canada on Divine Mercy Sunday two former Anglican bishops, Peter Wilkinson and Carl Reid were received, together with members of their congregations, into full communion with the Catholic Church.

This was done in accordance with Pope Benedict XVI’s 2009 Apostolic Constitution Anglicanorum coetibus, which provides a structure for welcoming Anglicans into the Catholic Church. The ceremonies of reception will be held at special Masses, one in Ottawa, the nation’s capital; the other in Victoria on Canada’s west coast, Vatican Radio reported.

“We’ve tried to respond to a request from a certain group of Anglicans, who wish for full communion now,” said Catholic Archbishop Terrence Prendergast of Ottawa. He said that they had begun talking about this several years.

“And we also realize that we have to continue to work for the full unity of the Church in whatever way Christ would like that to be, however He wants to bring it about with the remaining Anglicans.”

Belief in God strongest in Catholic Countries survey says

Philippines, which has 78% strong Catholic population leads the World in "belief in God'!

AFP News - The Philippines leads the world in the number of people who believe in God, while the elderly across all countries tend to be the most religious, according to a US study out Wednesday.

Belief in God tends to be strongest in the United States and Catholic countries and lowest in Scandinavia and former Soviet states, according to the survey carried out by the NORC research group at the University of Chicago.

The study was based on data from 30 countries -- nearly all with Christian majorities -- in which surveys about belief in God have been taken since 1991.

It found that 94 percent of people in the Philippines said they had always believed in God, followed by Chile, with 88 percent, and the United States with 81 percent.

Is there any Iglesia ni Cristo locale in Al-Satwa, Dubai, UAE?

Yahoo Question: Is there any locale of iglesia ni cristo in al satwa dubai uae ? kindly pm me for the ans pls thanks !?

Additional Details
what i mean is , is there any locale of iglesia ni cristo ( chruch of christ ) in al satwa dubai ?

Answers:

From sas35353535: "whats this , cant understand"
From ': "Are you talking about the church in Honolulu with the same name? or are you Pinoy and have this in your country too.
I'd be surprised if there are , but I suppose a Hawaiian could pass for an east Asian in Dubai. No body notices any way ;)"

From Catholic Defender:

There is no official recognition of the United Emirates for a church called "Iglesia ni Cristo".  If the INC founded by Felix Manalo in 1914 (Philippines) are given permission to gather and worship in any of the emirate states, they are categorized under the general term "Protestantism".

The Jehovah's Witnesses are banned in the UAE.

Permitted Christian groups include the worldwide Catholic Church founded by Jesus Christ in 33 A.D. which has a diplomatic ties with the Vatican State, the Orthrodox Church, some Evangelicals and other Protestant churches and sects. (Source: Global Security)

Mostly visible churches in the region are owned by the Catholic Church mostly are Indians, Filipinos, Lebanese, Americans and Europeans.

Among the churches in the Region are : (Wikipedia)
  • St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Abu Dhabi
  • St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dubai
  • St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Jebel Ali
  • St. Michael's Catholic Church, Sharjah
  • St. Mary's Catholic Church, Al Ain
  • Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Fujairah
  • Fujairah Sub Centres in Kalba, Khorfakkan and Dibba
  • St. Anthony of Padua Church, Ras Al-Khaimah
The Catholic Church in UAE belongs to the larger Vicaraite Apostolic South Arabia. Here is the statistics of Catholics in every country Catholic Church by Country.

However here is more accurate statistics from Catholic Hierarchy.

The Iglesia ni Cristo is  not known to any other nationalities outside the Philippines.  The mere fact that its name is exclusively registered in Tagalog language traces its history in the Philippines when it was founded by Felix Manalo, a Filipino ex-Catholic and ex-Protestant minister which the founder registered his church in 1914 as the "Iglesia ni Kristo" (INK) later was changed to "Iglesia ni Cristo" (or INC).

The INC is a Sole Corporation protected by the Securities and Exchange Commission under the Philippine government.  Its name is Registered Patented Trademark that no one is allowed to register a church or group similar to theirs.

The INC members believe that Felix Manalo is an "angel" or their "Last Messenger" which is almost similar to Joseph Smith's earlier claims, founder of Mormonism.  Or some viewed INC's teachings more "Islamic" than "Christian". The only difference is that Mohammad is Islam's "Last Prophet" (or Messenger) while  Felix Manalo is INC's "Last Messenger" called to restore Christ's Church which for them totally apostatized, earlier claimed by Joseph Smith, Mormon's "Last Prophet".

The INC officially believes that the Catholic Church is the True Church of Christ founded by Jesus however it completely apostatized according to INC's official teachings.

Jesus: A Prophet of Islam?

A Muslim Finds the Catholic Faith…Through Geography and Theology

British soccer team owner and prominent philanthropist Ilyas Khan reflects on his conversion.
Share
by EDWARD PENTIN from National Catholic Register

Swiss theologian Hans Urs von Balthasar was instrumental in helping Ilyas Khan, a British philanthropist and former Muslim, to become Catholic. But so too were many other distinctly Catholic influences, all amounting to a “pull” towards the faith rather than a “push” away from Islam.

Khan, a merchant banker by training and the owner of the Accrington Stanley soccer team, is also chairman of the prominent British charity Leonard Cheshire Disability — the largest organization in the world helping people with disabilities. In a revealing interview with Register Rome correspondent Edward Pentin, Khan explains in more detail what drew him to the Catholic Church in 2009.

What brought you to the faith? Was there anything in Islam, perhaps Muslims’ devotion to Our Lady, which helped you to convert?

Yes and no. Devotion to Our Lady on a personal basis is a big part of my faith, but at the same time, I know it wasn’t anything to do with my upbringing as a Muslim. My first tentative steps towards Catholicism were taken in my very early infancy. My mother was very ill at that time, and I was raised till about the age of 3 or 4 by a grandmother who was determinedly Catholic and Irish. I went to a Church school, and I think that when I started classes I didn’t think of myself as anything other than being Christian.

Iglesia ni Cristo Lies and Deceit Part 2

INC Deceit and Lies Part I

Taken from: Study Iglesia ni Cristo

Examine the Verse
Philippians 2:9-11
This verse is claimed to provide the basis of the Iglesia ni Cristo belief
that Jesus is not an ordinary man but a very special Man,
who was sanctified; made Lord, Christ, Savior, Mediator and Judge by God.
Because of that obedience, God lifted him high and honored him far beyond anyone or anything, ever, so that all created beings in heaven and on earth—even those long ago dead and buried—will bow in worship before this Jesus Christ, and call out in praise that he is the Master of all, to the glorious honor of God the Father.
(Philippians 2:9-11, The Message)

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
(Philippians 2:9-11, New King James Version)

Iglesia ni Cristo belief in God and Jesus Christ:
Iglesia ni Cristo believes in the absolute oneness of God, that "the Only True God is the Father" in heaven; The Father is the Lord God Almighty, the Creator of all things. God is Spirit, eternal, immortal and invisible; He is the God and Father of Jesus Christ and His Apostles; and that of Moses,
Abraham and the ancient Israelites.
Iglesia ni Cristo believes that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. As the Son of God,
Jesus is a Man. However, Jesus is not an ordinary man but a "very special Man",
who was sanctified; made Lord, Christ, Savior, Mediator and Judge by God.

Apostle's admonition, warning and unique way of teaching:
1. No prophecy of scripture is a matter of personal interpretation (2 Pt. 1:20, NAB)
2. Do not go beyond what is written. (1 Cor. 4:6, NIV)
3. We do not use words of human wisdom. We speak words given to us by the Spirit,
using the Spirit's words to explain spiritual truths. (1 Cor. 2:13, NLT)

Points to Consider:
1. Please notice the reason why Jesus was highly exalted, in the preceding verse 8, this is written: "And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross" (NKJV). Thus, Jesus is a man who was obedient to God, even up to death.
2. Notice what the above verse clearly says, "Because of that obedience, God lifted him high and honored him or highly exalted Him.... so all created beings.... will bow and worship Him". Thus, it was God the Father who ordered Jesus to be worshipped, not because Jesus is God but only for God's glorious honor. The fact that God exalted Him and ordered Him to be worshipped is proof that Jesus is not God Himself but a very special Man.
3. For more information:

You were FALSELY tricked by these Deceivers of Faith!

As you can see, the Iglesia ni Cristo cult CAREFULLY CHOSE this particular VERSE in PHILIPPIANS 2 and IGNORED verses 1-8  and highlighted only verse is 9-11

What is that?

Let's see! BEHOLD the LIARS now being EXPOSED!

Phil. 2:1-11:

If there is any encouragement in Christ, any solace in love, any participation in the Spirit, any compassion and mercy, 2complete my joy by being of the same mind, with the same love, united in heart, thinking one thing.a 3Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves,b 4each looking out not for his own interests, but [also] everyone for those of others.c

5Have among yourselves the same attitude that is also yours in Christ Jesus,*

6Who,* though he was in the form of God,

did not regard equality with God something to be grasped.*

7Rather, he emptied himself,

taking the form of a slave,

coming in human likeness;*

and found human in appearance,e

8he humbled himself,f

becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross.*

9Because of this, God greatly exalted him

and bestowed on him the name*

that is above every name,g

10that at the name of Jesus

every knee should bend,*

of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth,h

11and every tongue confess that

Jesus Christ is Lord,*

to the glory of God the Father.i

As they have HIGHLIGHTED the word "MAN", they COMPLETELY and DELIBERATELY ignored VERSE 6 which also claims Jesus is in the form of GOD! "

... though he (JESUS CHRIST) was in the form of God"

Read the verse again! It says, JESUS was IN THE FORM OF GOD!!!!!

In Verse 7, the Bible says Jesus is GOD coming in HUMAN LIKENESS and we found this GOD in HUMAN appearance!!!!!!

"...coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance."

The Bible says nothing about Jesus being man ONLY as the Iglesia ni Cristo wants his followers to believe!

It says, Jesus is in the FORM of GOD, something we should all GRASP (understand or comprehend).  He is GOD who came in HUMAN LIKENESS and he was FOUND HUMAN IN APPEARANCE.

Now, have you found any wordings there saying JESUS is a MAN ONLY? !!!

If you believed in INC twisted theology, YOU WERE DECEIVED!

Again as you can see:

"... that at the name of Jesus (a MAN only according to INC) every knee should bend, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord..."

Yes!  At the NAME of JESUS, every knee shall bend, every tongue confess...

But this SAME WORDINGS was CLAIMED by GOD the Father in Isaiah 45:23

God the FATHER SAID:
"...To me (GOD) every knee shall bend; by me every tongue shall swear..."

So if we believe in the "Two Lords" theology of the INC of Manalo, we may end up with rivalry between the MAN-Jesus and God the Father!

Going back to Philippians 2, the same chapter says JESUS is in the FORM of GOD, which we SHOULD ALL UNDERSTAND!

I will repeat, we need to "ALL UNDERSTAND" or COMPREHEND or GRASP.

Obviously THEY FAILED to understand, comprehend or grasp that TRUTH.

Yes! The CHURCH teaches that JESUS is a TRUE MAN. Their claim is perfectly in congruence with the teachings of the Catholic Church.

But nowhere in the chapter says "HE IS NOT GOD"!

Yes, HE IS IN THE FORM OF GOD -- yet man in our own appearance!

His DEATH was not due to any reason by the JEWS understood well of his (JESUS) CLAIMS in John 10:33:

The Jews answered him, “We are not stoning you for a good work but for blasphemy. You, a man, are making yourself God.”
Did Christ recant or try to correct these Jewish authorities if his words were completely taken out of context?

No!  He didn't!

Because HE KNEW who he was! How could he ever deny his own identity?

He became obedient, even "death on the cross" says Philippians 2.

So please do not be deceived! Before believing in their carefully chosen verses, you need to READ the WHOLE chapter so you can have a CLEAR picture of what's being talked about, not chop-chop verses to suit their GUILE evil intentions!

And what is the Bible telling us about THESE DECEIVERS of Faith?

Here is from 2 John 1:7

Many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh; such is the deceitful one and the antichrist.

Yes, the IGLESIA NI CRISTO of MANALO is the fulfillment of this message.  They denied JESUS who is GOD coming in the FLESH...

Exposing these DECEIT and LIES of INC of Manalo, may bring souls to the realization that the Iglesia ni Cristo is the anti-Christ disguising as a "church".

To Jesus Christ be praised FOREVER and EVER!

How Do We Know It’s the True Church?

Article borrowed from Catholic Answers Magazine by Fr. Dwight Longenecker

My conversion to the Catholic faith began in the world of Protestant fundamentalism. After being brought up in an independent Bible church, I attended the fundamentalist Bob Jones University. While there I became an Anglican; later, I went to England to become an Anglican priest.

My pilgrimage of faith came to a crisis in the early 1990s as the Anglican Church struggled over the question of the ordination of women. By instinct I was against the innovation, but I wanted to be positive and affirm new ideas rather than reject them just because they were new. I decided to put my prejudices to one side and listen as openly as possible to both sides of the debate.

As I listened I realized that from a human point of view, both the people in favor of women’s ordination and those against it had some good arguments. Both sides argued from Scripture, tradition, and reason. Both sides argued from practicality, compassion and justice. Both sides honestly considered their arguments to be persuasive. Furthermore, both sides were composed of prayerful, church-going, sincere Christians who genuinely believed the Holy Spirit was directing them. How could both be right?

From a human point of view, both arguments could be sustained. This led me to a real consideration of the question of authority in the Church. I realized that the divisions over women’s ordination in the Anglican Church were no different, in essence, than every other debate that has divided the thousands of Protestant denominations.

Some groups split over women’s ordination; others split over whether women should wear hats to church. Some split over doctrinal issues; others split over moral issues. Whatever the issue and whatever the split, the basic problem is one of authority. If Christians have a sincere disagreement, who decides?

Wobbly Three-Legged Stool

Evangelical Protestants say the Bible decides, but this begs the question when the two warring parties agree that the Bible is the final authority. They eventually split because they can’t agree about what the Bible actually teaches. I had moved away from the Protestant understanding that Scripture is the only authority, and as an Anglican, believed that authority rested in Scripture, tradition, and reason.

Catholic Church New Converts!

The Catholic Church has finally "fallen" in the West says this boastful and deceitful INC member in his blog. Let's see!

Good Shepherd School students to be baptized at Easter Vigil
By Valerie Schmalz

Pacifica school youngsters among 170 archdiocesan catechumens entering faith

Five students at Good Shepherd School are among the more than 170 people in the Archdiocese of San Francisco who will be baptized into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil.

“I want to become baptized because I want to become part of the Catholic community,” said Sarah Bonomi, 12, who will be baptized, confirmed and receive her first Communion on April 7 at the Church of the Good Shepherd. Five Good Shepherd students will be baptized at Easter Vigil with a sixth baptized the following Sunday. A seventh elementary school child, a student at Holy Angels School, will also enter the church at the Pacifica parish’s Easter Vigil.... Read more here...

Catechesis, Conversion, and the Reason For the Hope Within You
By Francis J. Beckwith

During Holy Week and Easter Sunday Mass, in Catholic parishes throughout the world, many pilgrims will be received into the Church. Most will have gone through the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA), a six-month study of the Church’s teachings and practices. This year I have the privilege of being part of the RCIA team at St. Peter’s Catholic Student Center at Baylor University, where as many as a dozen men and women will soon be entering the Church... Reflections from soon-to-be new Catholics

This Easter, the Archdiocese will welcome 2,393 new Catholics into the Church.

A few of the catechumens and candidates shared their reflections on why they felt called to become Catholic. Read on for their reflections … and pray for all those who will join the Church this Easter../. Read more here...

Chris Zajdzinski: Man leads family, others into the Catholic Church
By Joyce Coronel

Chris Zajdzinski is on fire for the Catholic faith, but it wasn’t always that way.

“I was raised a Baptist-Bible Christian. Just the foundation of that belief is counter to Catholicism,” Zajdzinski said. “You don’t even have to be told the Catholic Church is not legitimate — you’re taught that implicitly.”

In 2008 however, Zajdzinski, his wife and their four children left their Protestant mega church and became Catholic. It all began with a few nagging doubts... Read more here...

Dudley and Diane Brossette’s Conversion: From Searching Many Churches to Catholic

“We were both taught that Catholics were doctrinally off base and to be pitied because they were generally not “born-again.”

“We went to several different churches and studied many other denominations, including Mormon, Jehovah’s Witness and a few splinter spin-offs of the charismatic non-denominational movement. Each time, after a great deal of study, I rejected these churches……” Read more here...

Hong Kong diocese continues success in evangelization: 3,500 received at Easter Vigil

The Diocese of Hong Kong welcomed 3,500 adults into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil, continuing a remarkable record of evangelization that has stretched across the years.

The Hong Kong diocese claims about 500,000 Catholics, including nearly 140,000 non-Chinese. So the adult converts received into the Church at Easter amounted to roughly 1% of the current Chinese Catholic population. (An equivalent success for the Boston archdiocese would require nearly 13,000 new adult converts.) The diocese received nearly as many converts—3,400—last year, and 3,000 in 2010... Harvard trained philosophy professor Richard Sherlock converts from Mormonism to Christianity

One should never leave the religion in which one was born or raised for anything but the most serious of reasons. Warm feelings, family, friends, a social ethos, should never be the reason for joining or leaving a religion. The fact that you do not like the priest, pastor or parishioners should never be a reason for staying or leaving. Anyone who knows me well knows that I have never been a person to "go with the flow" or seek popularity. I was a conscientious objector in the Vietnam War and I have a 1-0 draft card to prove it. I have been an absolute opponent of abortion, euthanasia, and capital punishment my whole adult life. When I was a professor of moral theology at Fordham University in the mid-1980's I happily defended the view that artificial birth control is morally wrong. This was at a time when many, if not most, actually Catholic moral theologians wouldn't do so, or wouldn't do so strongly. I have not left religion or Christianity. But I have left Mormonism. I have become a deeper, more intellectual, more spiritual and truer Christian than I have ever been, literally. I am converting to the Roman Catholic Church. All true roads do lead to Rome... “Have you been Born Again? Catholic Reflections on a Protestant Doctrine, or How Calvin’s view of Salvation destroyed his Doctrine of the Church”

Ultimately, these discoveries – along with renewed study of Scripture and the Church Fathers – led me away from evangelicalism and the PCA, and into the Catholic Church. (See How John Calvin Made me a Catholic.) And today, I realize that I am not the first one to note these incongruities in the Reformed tradition. There is, in fact, a vast literature playing off Calvin against his heirs, or alternately defending them against the charge of innovation.2 Within the Reformed world, there is ongoing disagreement over the extent and implications of these tensions.3 What few historians dispute, however, is that modern evangelicalism breathes a different air from traditional Calvinism.4 Mark Noll’s assessment of the emerging evangelicalism of the 19th century is not far off the mark... Thousands join Catholic Church on Easter

Thousands of new Catholics were baptized and thousands more Christians were received into full communion with the Catholic Church at the Easter vigil last weekend.

Jeanette DeMelo, communications director for the Archdiocese of Denver, reflected on the vigil Mass’ beginnings in darkness and the symbolism of its transformation into full light.

“Christ our light comes and breaks through the darkness that we experience in suffering and in death and in sin,” she told CNA April 9. “I think that also happens for each of those people who are coming into full communion with the Church. There is that experience of the light of Christ.”

Young and old, single and married, immigrants and native-born Americans, all came together as the newest members of the Church for the feast of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ... Read more here...

So join now the CHURCH of JESUS CHRIST. Here are some few practical Steps on How to Convert to the Catholic Church

WARNING:

  • There are many common misconceptions about the Church which may cause you to look away without giving them a closer look. Find a well-versed Catholic friend, and he or she will probably be able to give you an answer. Alternatively, websites such as Catholic Answers have articles and forums for your questions.
  • Until you are a member of the Catholic Church, you are not allowed to receive the Eucharist. It is unlikely that any action will be taken against you, but the Church asks you to respect its traditions. Catholics believe that the Eucharist is the actual body and blood of Christ, no longer bread and wine. Remember that Paul says that, "Therefore whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord." (1 Corinthians 11:27,29).
  • Instead of receiving The Eucharist, those who have not received their First Communion may go in the line where people are receiving the Eucharist but when they reach the altar cross their arms in front of their chest with their palms against their shoulders. This indicates to the priest that you wish to receive a blessing instead. (Non-priests are not empowered to confer a blessing at communion; in this case, if you are ineligible for Holy Communion you should just stay seated. No one minds and you won't cause confusion.)
  • The Catholic Church is an establishment that has spanned millenia, it bears a large amount of rite and tradition. If you are not absolutely certain that you want to be a part of this, hold off on the final steps until you truly believe. There are several excellent books on the market regarding other people's conversion journeys. Purchasing and reading these will be quite helpful.
  • Above all, do not convert for someone else. Only convert if it is truly what you believe.

Come HOME to ROME and be BLEST!

In England and Wales: The CHURCH converts 2012

Contrary to what the Iglesia ni Cristo (a cult founded by Felix Manalo in the Philippines in 1914) circulated unfounded rumors among themselves, the Catholic Church-- which is the TRUE CHURCH OF CHRIST  according to their official magazine called PASUGO April 1966, p. 46, received many new converts to the Church during this Easter 2012.

Over 3,500 adults received into the Church in England and Wales

UK, Catholic Herald UK - More than 3,500 adults were received into the Catholic Church in England and Wales last week.

They included 1,397 catechumens, who had prepared to be baptised, and 1,843 candidates, who had already baptised in another Christian tradition.

The largest numbers were in the dioceses of Westminster (734), Southwark (481), Brentwood (333), Birmingham (255) and Portsmouth (206). The total of 3,695 also included those who had joined the ordinariate. Easter is the traditional time for reception of new members of the Church through the Rite of the Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), the liturgical and catechetical process for adults joining the Church.

Bishop Kieran Conry of Arundel and Brighton, chairman of the Department for Evangelisation and Catechesis of the Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales, said many of those who went through the RCIA said they first became interested in the Catholic Church through a family member or friend.

St. Mary's Catholic Church - Dubai, UAE (Source: MSNBC.com)

"I have other sheep* that do not belong to this fold. These also I must lead, and they will hear my voice, and there will be one flock, one shepherd."

(Question 169). Ito ay salungat din sa turo ni Jesus at ng mga Apostol, sapagkat sinabi ni Cristo: "Ako ang tanging Pastor" (Juan 10:16)".

Ang JUAN 10:16, sino ang tinutukoy na PASTOL:  si CRISTO ba o si FELIX MANALO?!!

Ang gulo nila!!! Mandaraya nga sila!

Ang sabi ni HESUS sa (Mateo 24:4-5)

"Jesus said to them in reply, “See that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and they will deceive many.

"Many will come in my name" sabi ni Cristo. Ibig sabihin, PAGKATAPOS niyang itatag ang kanyang Iglesia, "many will come" at isa na roon ang INC ni Manalo na dumating nga upang MANLINLANG ng tao!

Muli sa Mateo 24:10-11:

"False messiahs and false prophets will arise, and they will perform signs and wonders so great as to deceive, if that were possible, even the elect."

"But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach [to you] a gospel other than the one that we preached to you, let that one be accursed!"

OPO!

IILAN BA ANG TUNAY NA IGLESIA NI CRISTO at ILAN BA ANG MGA NAGPAPANGGAP?!

Tama! wala ka namang mababasang "Iglesia Katolika" sa English versions or Tagalog or Visaya, or Ilocano versions!

Ito man ay mapa-Arabic, English, French, German, Chinese, Japanes, Hungarian, Russian, Polish, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, Sudanese, Ethopian, Afrikaans, Ghanaian, Tagalog, Ilocano, Bisaya, Kapampangan, Ilongo, Malayalam, Urdu, Indonesian, Malaysian, Vietnamese, Thailandese, Pigin (Papua New Guniea), Turkish, Iranian, Kurdish, Balkan, Swedesh, Danish, Swiss, Romanian, Ukrainian, Azerbaijani, Albanian, Kosovan, Kazakh, Nepalese, Punjab, Hindi, Konaini, Mandarin, Burmese, Bangladeshi, Korean, etc. etc...

"As both its critics and its champions would probably agree, Roman Catholicism has been the decisive spiritual force in the history of Western civilization. There are more Roman Catholics in the world than there are believers of any other religious tradition--not merely more Roman Catholics than all other Christians combined, but more Roman Catholics than all Muslims or Buddhists or Hindus. The papacy is the oldest continuing absolute monarchy in the world. To millions the pope is the infallible interpreter of divine revelation and the Vicar of Christ..."

Ibig sabihin, HINDI NALIPOL! Bagkos PATULOY at AKTIBO, hindi namamatay!

Ang mga patotoong ito ay mula sa The Great Courses:

"The Catholic Church. It began as a small band of supporters following the teachings of an itinerant preacher in an outpost of the Roman Empire. From there, the church expanded both its size and its importance in the grand scheme of Western history.

Consider that the Catholic Church

  • steered Western civilization through historical events such as the fall of the Roman Empire, the Dark Ages, the Crusades, and the Reformation;
  • influenced the political ideas and actions of powerful leaders in a variety of European nations;
  • made deep contributions to the Western philosophical tradition through the works of religious philosophers such as St. Augustine and Thomas Aquinas;
  • funded and inspired the creation of fantastic works of religious art and literature, such as northern Europe's Gothic cathedrals, Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, and Dante's Divine Comedy;
  • and much more.
Today, the church is the oldest continuously active organization on Earth and one of the most influential institutions in the world—a force capable of moving armies, inspiring saints, and shaping the lives of a billion members. (emphasis mine)

Opo.
