Muslims Hack and Torture Christian, Demand He Convert. His Response Will Give You Chills

...and these Christians are NOT members of the "true church" - the Iglesia Ni Cristo

NIGERA [MadWorldNews]- Although some unbelievers are lucky enough to simply pay a hefty jizya or receive jail time, many minorities aren’t as fortunate, often suffering agonizing torture before their death.

If you haven’t already guessed, we’re speaking of Islamists and their jihad against “those who Allah hates.”

Such was the case for John Yakuba, a poor Christian in northeastern Nigeria.

After a devastating attack from over 100 Boko Haram insurgents, the streets of Attagara were lined with the bloody bodies of children, most of them carelessly tossed into a ditch.

Churches and children are primary targets. When an elder saw the opportunity to save a 6-year-old boy who was mangled and clinging to life, he picked up the child and fled to a hospital. However, Muslim terrorists stopped him on his way, grabbing the boy from his arms and beheading him. The insurgents then turned on the man and attacked him, leaving him for dead.

Next on their list of victims was Yakuba.

John had recently returned to Attagara, hoping to sneak some of his livestock out of the village to sell to feed his family. At his home, he gathered some family belongings that were left behind when they fled. Among them, the family Bible.

Boko Haram militants spotted him entering his home, and quickly captured him.

“We know you’re John,” the Islamists said. “You must convert to Islam or else you will die a painful death.”

When John refused, the men tied him to a tree, binding his arms and legs. The insurgents began hacking John’s hands with a machete.

“Can you become a Muslim now?” they repeated.

“You can kill my body, but not my soul,” John shouted.

They continued to torture John, using machetes to hack into his feet, stopping repeatedly only to ask if he would convert.

When John refused to deny his Christian faith for a final time, the insurgents used an axe to cut so deeply into his knee that it hit the bone. They also made gashes in his head with a knife.

John soon lost consciousness.

Believing him to be dead, the terrorists left John bleeding and tied to the tree for three days. Fortunately, someone found him on the third day and brought him to a hospital.

John awoke from a coma induced by his horrific injuries. A VOM worker met with him to ask how he feels about his attackers. It was then that he gave the most incredible response:

“I have forgiven the Islamic militants, because they did not know what they are doing,” John replied.

His courage to refuse his faith under the most brutal of circumstances comes as an inspiration to us all, regardless of our beliefs.
