"The Christianity of history is not Protestantism. If ever there were a safe truth it is this, and Protestantism has ever felt it so; to be deep in history is to cease to be a Protestant." (-John Henry Newman, An Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine).

"Where the bishop is, there let the people gather; just as where ever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church". -St. Ignatius of Antioch (ca 110 AD)a martyr later thrown to the lions, wrote to a church in Asia Minor. Antioch was also where the term "Christian" was first used.

“But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth.” 1 Timothy 3:15

"This is the sole Church of Christ, which in the Creed we profess to be one, holy, catholic and apostolic." -CCC 811

Ministerial Succession in the Iglesia ni Cristo?

Felix Manalo, the self-proclaimed "Last Messenger" of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) has long been dead, succeeded by one of his sons Eraño Manalo who is now also dead and being mourned by his members at their Central Temple in Quezon City, Philippines.

As a Corporation Sole owned and managed by the Manalo clan, they don't need the Holy Spirit to choose who will be the next successor of this church. As I am writing this, there is a very slim chance that any able member would succeed. I am most certain that the next succeeding kin in line as its Executive Minister (eqivalent to Catholic Pope) is no other than another Manalo, Eduardo V. Manalo.

As their dead leader forewarned any ambitious member to head the INC, he said "Kayo ang maghahari sa iglesia? Hindi! Tamaan kayo ng kidlat at kulog bago mangyari iyan [You want to reign over the iglesia? No! Lightning and thunder will strike you first before that happens [YouTube].
That's because Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) is just a CORPORATION SOLE very much owned and managed by the MANALOS.

Here are some interesting information about the cult of Manalo:
