"The Christianity of history is not Protestantism. If ever there were a safe truth it is this, and Protestantism has ever felt it so; to be deep in history is to cease to be a Protestant." (-John Henry Newman, An Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine).
"Where the bishop is, there let the people gather; just as where ever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church". -St. Ignatius of Antioch (ca 110 AD)a martyr later thrown to the lions, wrote to a church in Asia Minor. Antioch was also where the term "Christian" was first used.“But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth.” 1 Timothy 3:15"This is the sole
Church of Christ, which in the Creed we profess to be
one, holy, catholic and apostolic." -

Isn't this a catholic website? you post alot about Islam already. if there is anything wrong with obama being Islamic (if He is)? Tell me, are you just religiously intolerant? Please dont discriminate Muslims. As you know, im not Muslim but i would defend them because they are a great people. so please. Im not speaking as an INC here but as a person.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you know how to read but it's not enough. Please understand what you are reading.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on this particular post. I've nothing wrong against Obama. The only problem is that when he denies being a Muslims and yet in many instances he's heart belongs not to the Americans but to Muslims.
He is the first president to be a Muslims and thus he has to come out and proclaim his true faith. He pledge allegiance to Shariah more than the constitution of the United States.
Plaridel, don't play with emotions and sentiments and political correctness here. We have enough politicians in the Philippines that do like that. Like our politicians in the Philippines playing political correctness when they believe in your mythical "Bloc Voting" (proof of its lies, natalo kasi si Roxas na kaalyado ni Noynoy).
Please do not put words into my mouth. I am not "discriminating" Muslims. I would like to remind you that I have more Muslim friends than you do. And they are nicer to talk with than the Iglesia ni Cristo, wallahi (I swear to God).
In fact, the world is not against Islam as religion. All are against the tendency of being "extremists" within Islam itself. Personally I am against those who supports extremism and terrorism. True enough, not all terrorists are Muslims but most terrorists are Muslims.
You may sympathize with the radical Muslims because for the radicals, Jesus is JUST a prophet, not God and they adhere to the Oneness of God (tawhid) just as you proclaim to be Christians and yet you deny the Trinity. At least in Islam it's Islam, but a supposed "believer of Christ" denying his divinity and exulting Felix Manalo to the heights of angels? Silly don't you?
So the Catholic Church is tolerant to peaceful existence, no matter what you believe in. But the Catholic Church will never TOLERATE VIOLENCE, EXTREMISM, TERRORISM.
Maybe you forget that your INC had denied the rights of Muslims for peaceful co-existence generalizing them of such a crime:
"The Islamic religion, for instance, does not guarantee peace in the world. We now live to witness that in the Islamic portions of the globe, many wars are waged. Many lives have been lost. They wage wars in guise of the so-called jihad or religious war. Wars that they wage are not only those they do against other religious faiths. They even fight against one another. Hence, peace has become elusive in their midst. So that we now have enough reason to exclude this religion from our list of choices for the true one."
And this is the Catholic Church position about Islam:
"The Church's relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day. Read between the lines Mr. Plaridel and dont just comment here just for the sake of commenting.. read and understand.
BTW, why you refuse to comments on the section about the Iglesia ni Cristo? Quite puzzling though...
God bless.
