"The Christianity of history is not Protestantism. If ever there were a safe truth it is this, and Protestantism has ever felt it so; to be deep in history is to cease to be a Protestant." (-John Henry Newman, An Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine).

"Where the bishop is, there let the people gather; just as where ever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church". -St. Ignatius of Antioch (ca 110 AD)a martyr later thrown to the lions, wrote to a church in Asia Minor. Antioch was also where the term "Christian" was first used.

“But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth.” 1 Timothy 3:15

"This is the sole Church of Christ, which in the Creed we profess to be one, holy, catholic and apostolic." -CCC 811

Infographic: What happened to the apostles and where are their remains today?

Immeasurably unfathomable is the LOVE of CHRIST to HIS Universal CHURCH by the SEED OF FAITH planted through His Apostles now ONLY FOUND n the CATHOLIC CHURCH! Splinters of protesting and stubborn churches who left the Catholic Church should start pondering how a LOVING GOD could betray HIS PEOPLE? The Catholic Church is HIS CHURCH—there is NO OTHER! There is BUT ONLY ONE CHURCH HE ESTABLISHED of which all Christians must adhere to it. For the CHURCH is the “pillar and bulwark” of ALL “truth” (1 Tim. 3:15).

Think about this. Although ISRAEL, the chosen people, were stubborn, God did not found another Israel. God kept his promise. In the same way, JESUS founded ONE CHURCH. Though may have been stubborn but Christ WILL NEVER FOUND another Church. JESUS KEEPS HIS PROMISE “I will stay with you until the end of the time” (Matthew 28:20). So do not be scandalized when you hear some priests or religious or members of the Church did EVIL. These things have to pass. This only proves that Satan is willing to DESTROY the CHURCH OF CHRIST. But no matter what, JESUS PROMISED “the gates (or power) of hell shall not prevail.” (Matthew 16:16-18).

Be thankful to the Father for you are a CATHOLIC! Be thankful to Jesus, HE FOUNDED HIS Universal CHURCH. Be thankful to the Holy Spirit for HE GUIDES HIS CHURCH for centuries until our LORD GOD JESUS CHRIST COMES!

Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus! -CD2000

CET: Where Did the Bible Come From?

Source: Diocese of Tyler

The following article by Father Joshua Neu of the Diocese of Tyler appeared in the September-October edition of the Catholic East Texas magazine.

Catholics in the Bible Belt often feel as if somehow the Bible belongs to non-Catholic Christians. Although we read the scriptures at Mass, everyone else seems to be more comfortable with the Bible than Catholics. In reality, the Bible is a very Catholic book. It comes from within the Church, was discovered and protected by the Catholic Church, and every Christian today who proclaims that it is the Word of God affirms this teaching of the Catholic Church.

The Bible comes from the Catholic Church.

Ask any East Texan if they own a Bible, and the overwhelming majority will answer “yes.” Ask them if the Bible is true, and again nearly every single one will say “yes.” Ask them who authored it, and almost every man, woman, and child will say “God.” We can see that in all things Biblical our neighbors have a great faith. Now ask, “How was this book assembled, and by what process did it come to be in your hands?” You won’t get many answers at all.

Living in the “Buckle of the Bible Belt,” Catholics often have a vague feeling of inferiority about the Bible. Perhaps it seems like a non-Catholic book, quoted so frequently and so extensively by non-Catholics in our part of the world that it can seem like “their” book, not “our” book.

The Bible is, in fact, a very, very Catholic thing. It was written within the Catholic Church, and its assembly was entrusted to the Church. Every time a Christian person, anywhere, uses the Bible and testifies that it is in fact the word of God, they are placing their faith in Catholicism, whether they realize it or not.

Not a Book, A Library

The Bible is not really a book, but a library. Usually it is bound together in one volume so you can keep it with you and use it often-Catholics should do this-but in fact it is more of a library, a compilation of 73 separate books. Composed over the course of a thousand years or more, these books come in several types: narrative history, poetry, prophecy, and even letters from one person to another. The library is of course divided into the Old and New Testaments, the Old being the holy books received from Judaism and the New being the holy books specific to Christianity.

As Christians, we believe these books to be inspired by God. “Inspiration” comes from the same root as “respiration” and concerning Scripture means “God-breathed.” When we state that a book of the Bible is inspired, we mean that God is ultimately the author. A human person held the pen and used his own language and style of writing to compose the book, but he wrote what God intended him to write without error. This is the claim Catholics make about the Bible, and why we hold the books of the Bible in such high regard – they are, in fact, the written Word of God.

Felix Manalo, founder of the Iglesia Ni Cristo® had successors, but from whom he succeeded?

"To insist, then, and believe that the Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, is God is clearly to contradict the statement of God Himself, of our Lord Jesus, too, as well as that of the apostles."  -PASUGO God's Message, April 2014, p. 5 (by Dennis C. Lovendino)

How could the Iglesia Ni Cristo® be so sure of their teachings when they were not even present during the time of the apostles? Nor they were there when they were martyred? Where were they when the apostles preached the Gospel of Christ to unbelievers without any versions of Bible INC™ Ministers collect? Where were they when these apostles and disciples handed over their apostolic responsibilities to their lawful SUCCESSORS just as how Felix Manalo handed over his legal succession to his ow son Eraño G. Manalo and how Ka Erdy handed over his succession to his very own son Eduardo V. Manalo?

How they are SO HARD on our Catholic teachings on APOSTOLIC SUCCESSION when they themselves teaches to respect, obey and honor the lawful successor of Felix Manalo-Eraño and Eduardo?

That's very hypocritical of them!

PASUGO God's Message, "1st District Ministers' Conference for 2012: Executive Minister Highlights Value of Obedience as Key to Church's Success", p. 12-13 (written by Norman A. Reyes)
"...Brother Eduardo disproved the wrong notion that one can still succeed even if he violates the will of God.  He added that all Church workers should also obey the instructions handed down by the Church Administration..."
"Brother Eduardo cited the experience of the first-century Church Of Christ which grew tremendously when all the members submitted themselves completely to God and the Church Administration."
They themselves say that "members (of the First-Century Church) submit themselves completely to God" and their successors, so how could  the WHOLE Church completely  APOSTATIZED if they had remained faithful and obedient to the Apostles and their lawful successors? And how we are certain that Felix Manalo and his successors are APOSTOLICALLY ordained when Felix Manalo wasn't even a breathe away from the time of the original apostles of Jesus?

Which of the Apostles of Jesus was a member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo®? I wonder how each of the paid Ministers of Manalo would try to justify those lies perpetuated by their fake messenger Felix Y. Manalo that they are the original Church?!

If you believe that Eduardo V. Manalo is the lawful successor of Felix Manalo, why is it so hard for you to believe that Pope Francis is the lawful successor of the Apostle Peter when the proof are all there available for your objective na pagsusuri?

We have unbroken line of successors from the Apostle Peter to Pope Francis, therefore the Catholic Church is a living witness to that apostolic succession which you employed in your doctrine of Tagapamahalang Pangkahalatan!

Any apostle who lawfully appointed Felix Y. Manalo to be as such?

12 Apostles' Relics ONLY found in Catholic Churches

The claims of the Iglesia ni Cristo (of Manalo))that they're the "true" church Christ founded is not only unbiblical but it is directly contrary to existing facts of history.

Thanks to Michael at SperoForum that he provided us with simplified facts about the 12 Apostles of Christ. Not one Iglesia ni Cristo chapel holds the remains of any of the 12 Apostles of Christ. Here's what he said in the forum:

The Catholic Church does not think it is the one true church it objectively is the one true church. Without the Catholic Church Protestants would not know Jesus at all. Protestants did not produce the Bible. The Protestants got the Bible from the already existing Catholic Church.

1. The Catholic Church gave us the Gregorian calendar which we all use today.
2. The Catholic Church gave us the date for Easter.
3. The Catholic Church gave us the date for Christmas which means Christ-Mass.

The remains of all of the Apostles are in Catholic Churches, and so are all of the Gospel writers. Note! Some relics are divided between Catholic Churches.

St. Peter is in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
St. Paul is in St. Paul's Church in Rome.
St. Matthew is in the Cathedral of St. Matthew in Messina, Sicily.
St. James the Greater is in St. James Church in Compostela Spain.
St. James the Less (the Just) is in the Basilica of the Holy Apostles in Rome.
St. Bartholomew is in St. Bartholomew-in-the-island Church in Rome.
St. Andrew is in the Cathedral of Amalfi in Italy.
St. Philip is in the Church of the Dodici Apostoli in Rome, Basilica of the Holy Apostles.
St. Simon is in the Vatican, under the Altar of the Crucifixion.
St. Jude is in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
St. Thomas is in the Cathedral of Saint Thomas in Mylapore, India.
St. Matthias is in St. Matthews Abbey in Trier Germany, and in St. Mary Major Basilica in Rome.
St. John is in the ruins of the Basilica of St. John in Ephesus Turkey.

"You are built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets with Jesus Christ Himself as the Chief Corner Stone."
Ephesians 2:20.

Even though he was not an Apostle, he did write the Gospel of Mark.
St. Mark is in St. Mark's Church in Venice, Italy.

Even though he was not an Apostle, he did write the Gospel of Luke.
St. Luke is in the Basilica of Santa Giustina in Padua, Italy.

The first Christian Martyr. Acts 7:60
St. Stephen is in Rome in the Basilica of St. Lawrence Outside the Walls.

The first person to arrive at the tomb of the Risen Christ. John 20:1
St. Mary Magdalene is in the Basilica of St. Maximin in Villalata, France.

He produced the first Bible containing both the Old and New Testaments, the Latin Vulgate. St. Jerome is in St. Mary Major Basilica in Rome.

We know from the many authentic Relics that the Catholic Church has in its possession. Among them are:

1. The Relic of the True Cross on which Jesus Christ was crucified. John 19:17-18
2. The "INRI" inscription from the True Cross, called "Titulus Crucis". John 19-19
3. The Nails which held Jesus to the cross. John 20:25
4. The Lance Point of Saint Longinus which pierced the side of Jesus. John 19:34
5. The Crown of Thorns and the individual thorns from it. John 19:2
6. The Table used at the Last Supper is in St. John Lateran Basilica in Rome. Matthew 26:20
7. The Scala Santa, the steps which Jesus Christ ascended on His way to meet Pontius Pilate.
8. The Chains of Saint Peter, in the Church of St. Peter in Chains in Rome.
Many more.........

We know from its sheer Size and Rapid Growth, with over 1,057,000,000* (one billion, fifty-seven million) members, or one in six of the entire population of the earth, as of February 2000. That is an increase of over 40,000,000 (forty million), since December 1997, more than half of the total membership of the largest single non-Catholic denomination. In 2001, the Catholic Church grew to over 1,070,540,000* members, plus another 216,000,000* Orthodox. Bar none, the Catholic Church is the fastest growing Christian Church in the world. All of the over 36,400 various Non-Catholic denominations, collectively added, total less* than the Catholic membership.

For those detractors of the Catholic Church who say that numbers are irrelevant, they are in effect, saying that Satan is winning souls and that GOD is losing souls. They are saying that more people are convinced by the lie from the father of lies, John 8:44, than they are convinced of the truth of GOD, John 14:6. They have forgotten, or maybe they never knew, that Satan can only do what GOD allows him to do. I would prefer to believe that GOD is the greater attraction, wouldn't you agree?

Thanks Michael. God bless
