MANILA [ABS-CBN News] — A Korean fugitive was granted temporary freedom due to an order from a Palace official.

Ja Hoon Ku was one of the contractors involved in the construction of the Iglesia Ni Cristo’s (INC) Philippine Arena, the world’s largest domed arena.

He is also wanted for stealing around $200 million from his company in Korea.

Ja was arrested by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) and was supposed to be deported to Korea.

However, he was granted temporary freedom due to an order signed by Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa.

According to the order, Ja will be free as he waits for the court’s decision on his appeal on his deportation case.

He was released from detention and was entrusted to members of the INC.

Iglesia ni Cristo's' dome is soon to be considered the biggest dome "in the world" (for now) and it will be erected in Bocuae, Bulacan, Philippines.  It is not for the use of the rest of the Filipinos that it should be called the "Philippine Arena".  According to the INC administration, this dome will be exclusively Iglesia ni Cristo arena, erected only for "religious purposes" only.  That "religious purposes" is not for any religion but ONLY for the religious celebrations by the cult of Felix Manalo.

The INC of Felix Manalo will be celebrating it's Centennial Anniversary in 2014 A.D--  but of course the TRUE CHURCH will be celebrating its 2,014 years to the Millennium.

Having huge amount of monies flowing into the Manalo's bank accounts under the name of the Iglesia ni Cristo corporation coming from its members who are OBLIGED to give portion of their hard-earned salaries, the Iglesia ni Cristo has no doubt to have the financial abilities for acquiring a huge land properties for its "religious purpose" infrastructures such as this.

In fact, it is precisely incorrect to say it's a "Philippine Arena" when only a limited few hundred thousand to a million Filipinos can use the said dome while the rest of the Filipinos cannot use it just because they are non-INC members.

Statistics show that 80% of the 97 million total population of the Philippines since 2010 (in other words, there are 77.6 million Catholics in the Philippines) are barred from using this facilities and yet the dome is named "Philippine Arena".  What for?

AFP says the Iglesia ni Cristo is a "sect" and was "founded in 1914" by a "Filipino Felix Manalo" whose church "does not disclose the exact number of its membership, but it claims to have millions of followers" where " aspiring politicians scramble to get the approval of its ministers during elections".  Amounting to US$175 million, the bill of the project was again held in utmost secrecy by the INC.

A politically influential Christian sect in the Philippines said Thursday it had started building one of the world's biggest indoor arenas with a seating capacity of 50,000.

The 74,000-square-metre (796,000-square-feet) mega-structure called the Philippine Arena is part of Iglesia ni Cristo's Ciudad de Victoria, a sprawling complex being built just outside the capital Manila.

"It is going to be twice the size of the biggest indoor arena in the United States," the church said in a story broadcast on its own television station and filmed during the project's ground-breaking ceremony last month.

In comparison, it said, the Madison Square Garden in New York could only sit 20,000 people, while the Staples Center in Los Angeles has a capacity of 21,000.

Designed by Kansas City-based architecture firm Populous, construction is being carried out by South Korea's Hanwha Engineering and Construction Corp. and is expected to be completed by 2014 to mark the church's centenary.

The church said it planned to use the arena for religious gatherings.

The complex around it will include a university, a convention centre, a medical facility, housing units and a chapel.

The arena itself will cost 175 million dollars, although the bill for the entire project was not revealed.

Founded in 1914 by Filipino Felix Manalo, who left the Catholic church over differences in beliefs, the sect has grown to become one of Asia's biggest indigenous Christian organisations.
