The Iglesia Ni Cristo® calls on coming together while its own house is still divided! What a hypocrisy!

What a hypocrisy!  While Eduardo V. Manalo (EVM), its present Executive Minister had mercilessly disowned his OWN MOTHER AND SIBLINGS and sent them to "dagag-dagatang apoy" of Hell by excommunicating them, how dare they have the nerve to call for Christian "UNITY" when its own house is DIVIDED?  First, let EVM reconcile with HIS MOTHER AND SIBLINGS-- being a CHRISTIAN LEADER (if they are still worthy to be called as such) should learn to HUMBLE himself before GOD and ASK FORGIVENESS from his mother and siblings.  Ka EVM should BE A MAN, face the MEDIA and SPEAK. Ano bang kinatatakutan niya at laging spokesperson ang pinahaharap niya sa media eh PURO KASINUNGALINGAN naman ang sinasabi ng kanilang tagapag-salita.

Sorry but many Christian communities are UNITED with the CATHOLIC CHURCH for that purpose. Why not the Iglesia Ni Cristo® or INC™ JOIN the CATHOLIC CHURCH in their effort to combat this No. 1 enemy which is poverty just as other churches did?!

Iglesia calls on other religions to come together vs poverty

IN THE wake of pronouncements from various denominations slamming the growing gap between the rich and the poor, the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) Monday called for a “multisectoral, cross-religious effort to combat poverty,” which the church referred to as “public enemy No. 1.” 

“While we have different beliefs, we agree wholeheartedly that we should wage all-out war against growing social inequity. Poverty is a problem that confronts us all, one that all faiths universally condemn,” INC general auditor Glicerio Santos Jr. said in a statement. 

Santos’ call was similar to the one made by Roman Catholic prelates who attended the recently concluded 51st International Eucharistic Congress in Cebu City: That something must be done about hunger and poverty, especially when brought about by corruption and social injustice...

Iglesia ni Cristo: From Colonial-Ecumenical to Supremacist

Truly impressive, the devotion and discipline displayed by the individuals who responded to matters taken up in my last blog. (READ: 2015: Iglesia ni Cristo’s Year of Errors?) Never have I received such ‘patronage’ albeit mostly masquerading as brickbats. The fervor, almost bordering on the fringe of ferocity, along with an in-your-face expression of unflinching devotion to Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) indoctrination are indeed admirable. In fact, awesome. Were I a dictator desirous of assembling an army of loyally blind adherents, such is the behavior I would exact. Somewhat scary, yes? Happily, I received no threats of eternal damnation. Nonetheless, one responder called me an over-the-hill pedophile!

Much of the ‘fan mail’ centered on what they uniformly denounced as rumors and gossip. Their collective anger and discomfort have been stoked by the reported purchase of an Airbus jetliner (plus an executive jet, not mentioned in the last blog) and a Forbes Park mansion for the Executive Minister, expenditures all drawn from Iglesia ni Cristo community funds. This now public information was originally sourced from two items written by veteran newspaper columnist Emil Jurado of the Manila Standard and by the late able and credible Rufo Aries (bless his soul) for an investigative report in the Rappler, a Philippine-based news website. Both appeared in late July this year and remain unrefuted in mainstream media.

I enjoy sharing verified information, fruits of readings and research, commenting upon them in essays. Of course, just like you folks, unless you are candidates for beatification, I also enjoy gossip, rumor and conspiracy theories. However, when I publicly utilize these, they are always labeled as such. I am entitled to my opinion but never to my own made-to-fit facts.

Of the jets and the mansion, there has been no official denial, much less a demand for an apology and retraction, from the leadership of the Iglesia. Gossip? Rumor? Or, Truth. Perhaps, a strategic decision from up high was taken. Do not rock the boat. Do not aggravate. Do not exacerbate. Enough already! “Silence is golden….” But, wait, that’s not biblical. So, how is this then: “…blessed are the meek…” (Matthew 5:5) or “…..turn the other cheek….” (Luke 6:29 and Matthew 5:39)

As a Filipino, I am proud of the expertly accomplished rise of Felix Y. Manalo in his chosen field and the ensuing organizational success of INC today which he trailblazed. Who would not be? Kadugo natin! (Our blood kin.) From just thousands in the 1940s, they now call upon 2.5 million congregants worldwide housed in about 1300 chapels, home congregations and cathedrals, with the vast majority being in the Philippines, naturally. INC is now also in the lucrative business of education, information, entertainment and amusement.

Felix Y. Manalo, the Iglesia’s founder, is unquestionably a Philippine social phenomenon that deserves to be recognized for the physical and material advance of INC as a Filipino organization and religious institution. I am not qualified to speak of spiritual salvation and theology. Let the clerics, ministers, pastors, mullahs and lamas joust and tussle over life’s imponderables. I simply happen to be one with the rest of our multitudes who exult and jubilate at sterling international accomplishments of fellow Pinoys ---blood kin-- regardless of fields of endeavor. As we all know, recently these have been mostly in the field of sports and music. Well, here is one truly outstanding Filipino who has made it to the world stage of religious organizations. Let us rejoice and be proud!

This does not mean, however, that we ought to be in consonance with and accept Manalo’s/INC’s interpretative teachings and parochial dictat especially those that infringe upon freedom of conscience, to which all humanity is heir. Blatant examples that sorely stick out are the INC’s anti-labor union membership rule; the herded collective bloc voting as a practice of political leverage, and the supremacist “no salvation” outside the realm of the INC doctrine. And the unforgettable chauvinist declaration: “….we now ought to reject… …the Catholic Church and the different protestant churches, for they are not of God, but of Satan and the devil.” (from ‘Pasugo,’ Aug. ‘61--an INC doctrinal tract, meaning ‘Message.’)

The control exercised over INC members’ political and economic rights are neither Christian nor democratic. Supremacism is an affront to democracy. In fact, as a citizen governed, not by the Bible nor by the Quran, but by his Constitution, by its civil and criminal codes, one has to realize that the INC restrictions are un-Filipino!

Iglesia ni Cristo did not start that way. The journey of the INC’s success as astutely steered by its founder, the incremental, developmental and innovative adjustments in doctrine and religious practices that Felix Y. Manalo took and directed will all be worthy of academic investigation and documentation. How such edifying endeavor can ever be achieved, however, will depend upon the Iglesia. And that ain’t gonna happen anytime soon, brethren.

Succinctly. At birth, a colonial legacy. With baby steps, ecumenical. Today, a supremacist.

History has an irreversibility clause to its contract with society. The beginnings of Felix Y.Manalo and of the Church he spawned and nurtured is now indelible. He was born a Catholic towards the sunset of Spain in the Philippines (1886). The new colonial master, the United States of America, took over the islands and allowed/encouraged the entry of Protestantism. As a young apostate to the religion of his birth, Felix had dalliances at the smorgasbord table of newly available religious persuasions. Before deciding that he wished to and could “preach” on his own, he had religious internships with American mentors. First with the Methodists. This was followed by a stint with the Presbyterians, until he actually preached for the 7th Day Adventists. This is not religious promiscuity, silly! It is ardent search for the convenient and useful truth. Iglesia ni Cristo was the personal epiphany of Felix Y. Manalo after a span, calculated to be at least some 10 years, of sitting at the feet of colonial American Protestant tutors.

Imagine, had Commodore Dewey sailed away from Manila Bay and President McKinley washed his hands of the Islands, Protestantism would not have come at all, at the time that it did. But America kept the new territorial possession. (Don’t we know it!) Then came the non-Catholic Christian pastors and ministers. Isn't it easy to see that without America, there would have been no Felix Y. Manalo and no Iglesia ni Cristo?

Prodded by a sense of gratitude for his earlier multi-church peregrinations as well as a need for acceptance within the Christian community, the self-declared “last messenger” of Christianity decided that he will of assume his church’s leadership in a public ceremony. Invitations were issued for the event of his official assumption as “Pastor and Administrator” of INK (Cristo was initially spelled with a K). The ceremony took place morning of Christmas Day of 1918 at Cine Gloria in Calle Sande, Tondo, Manila. (Btw, INC does not recognize and observe Christmas). Very noteworthy, as we look back, is that this landmark ceremonial solemnity was officiated by invited “Bishops and pastors of the different churches established in the islands.” (“mga Obispo at mga Pastor ng mga iba’t ibang mga Iglesia na natatatag sa Kapuluan,” so the invitation printed in Tagalog says.) They were even enumerated: Alejandro Reyes, Victoriano Mariano, Gil Domingo, Guillermo Zarco, Nicolas Fajardo, Emiliano Quijano and Roque Bautista. (The wonders of the Internet and Google! How else would I have known the foregoing!)

Inarguably, Christmas Day of 1918 was an ecumenical assembly for Felix Y. Manalo and his Iglesia! But wait, didn’t the INC ‘Pasugo’ clearly state that these guys “are not of God…but of Satan and the devil”?

Manalo Family Feud: Eduardo V. Manalo, INC's present Executive Minister disrespects his own mother and family!

ReadMeINC must be hiding in SHAME now that all of what they are afraid to talk in the open finally burst.

This morning, a video of Ka Angel Manalo (Eduardo's younger brother) and Mrs. Tenny Manalo, widow of the late Eraño G. Manalo and the mother of Ka Eduardo V. Manalo, the present Executive Minister, was posted in YouTube asking for help while they are living under threat.

While the video received a few thousand views in the first few hours when it was first posted, as of 4:00 PM, Thursday, 23 July 2015, it has reached 107, 961.

Soon, Rappler picked up story and made it available online.

At noon, one of the most powerful news media in the Philippines made the BREAKING NEWS announcing of the EXCOMMUNICATION of Mrs. Tenny Manalo and Ka Angel Manalo, mother and brother of the present Executive Minister Eduardo V. Manalo.  The announcement was made by INC™'s General Evangelist Bienvenido Santiago (video below is made available by Rappler)

After the announcement was made, major media outlet circulated the same story.

INC™ members are quick to throw their bitter judgment to the whole Catholic Church when a Catholic priest is accused of doing what is contrary to the doctrines of the Church. But when this issue among the MANALO CLAN was first been made public by a certain KA ANTONIO EBANGELISTA, INC™ didn't accept it as true. Instead, they hurled insulting words against Ka Antonio and his blog was even hacked (http://iglesianicristosilentnomore.wordpress.com) with the caption "This blog is now silent. No More. Iglesia Ni Cristo remains!!!"

That didn't stop Ka Antonio Ebangelista. Instead, he made another blog (http://incsilentnomore.wordpress.com) in July 19, 2015, enumerating the list of INC™ Ministers who were abducted by ARMED MEN, which he believed are members of the SANGUNIAN (Source: INC Silent No More blog)

1. Bro. Nolan Olarte from Cebu is among the 9 ministers abducted.

Updating our list, so far, we have identified the following ministers:

a. Bro. Boyet Menorca, Sorsogon – handcuffed while officiating worship service, white cloth thrown over his head

b. Bro. Joven Sepillo, Tacloban

c. Bro. Nolan Olarte, Cebu

2. Families of abducted ministers are under strict orders to keep their mouths shut or more terrible fate will befall their abducted minister family member.

3. Some brethren have reported seeing Bros. Arnel Tumanan and Jun Samson at the worship service in Templo yesterday, after we’ve reported Bro. Jun’s expulsion and the two of them being under house arrest. DON’T BE FOOLED, brethren. This is a ruse, a trick. Bros. Arnel and Jun were under strict instructions to act normal, as though it were business as usual, so that the brethren would not suspect anything is amiss. They were being watched the whole time. They will even put them on TV if necessary to deceive you. The Sanggunian wants to make me out to be a liar, after I’ve reported on this blog their true situation.

4. Bro. Arnel Tumanan, and Bro. Jerson Samson (who has been expelled) and the 9 abducted ministers, have been moved to a secret location. Bro. Jun Samson was taken as well but afterward, was taken back to the Central compound housing, where he was seen this morning finishing up on packing their belongings.

5. Radel Cortez (I can’t even call you “Brother” anymore), has led all the interrogations and house arrests, venomous words spilling out of his fuming mouth, while ordering the physical beating of the ministers.

6. Ministers and family members were asked to surrender their passports to the Central Office to ensure that they will not be able to leave country should they decide to escape. This is a violation of Republic Act 8239, THE PHILIPPINE PASSPORT ACT OF 1996, Section 11 which reads:

What kind of a SON is EDUARDO V. MANALO? His public display of DISRESPECTING his OWN MOTHER and his blood BROTHERS and SISTERS is a violation of the Fourth Commandment God which is "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which the Lord your God gives you" (Ex. 20:13; Deut. 5:16)

How could he, the Executive Minister of a religion VIOLATES the very commandments of God?! He should remember that Felix Manalo, treated his OWN MOTHER even they weren't members of his founded church.  As a matter of fact, members of his church acknowledged that truth.

The Reasons Why He Cahnged His Name to "Felix Y. Manalo"

The PASUGO tells us that Brother Felix changed his name to "Felix Y. Manalo" because of his great love and affection for his mother. That he grieved his mother's death so much he decided to used his mother's surname. However, there was another reason why he changed his durname - he and his siblings wanted to have only one surname. Yes! It was not only Brother Felix Y. Manalo that changed his surname, but also his brother and sisters. The four siblings have different surnames - Felix and Praxedes were using "Ysagun" and Baldomero and Fausta were using "Mozo." The father of Felix and Praxedes was Mariano Ysagun, while the father of Baldomero and Fausta was Clemente Mozo. Their mother married twice. So, it is unlikely that Felix and Praxdedes use "Mozo" becuase they are not "Mozos," and it is unlikely that Baldomero and Fausta use "Ysagun" because they are not "Ysaguns." Thus, "Manalo" is the most logical and practical because they are all "Manalos." Brother Felix's siblings indeed used the surname "Manalo." Their records and families attested to this.

If their founder Felix Manalo honored his own mother, why is it that his grandson Eduardo DISHONORS his own mother and brothers and sisters? 

Despicable! Unbecoming of an Executive Minister!

I have no other words to describe Eduardo as I myself love my mother with a true son's love. It will be interesting to watch the upcoming INC™ bloggers's articles what would they say after this news has violently erupted like a dormant volcano.

Let me guess. Those who would defend Ka Eduardo's disrespectful gesture towards his own mother are the ones who are SLAVES OF MONEY. They're cowards. They are afraid to defend the truth. They are afraid to stand up for what is morally right and going against the wishes of Ka Eduardo means, kicking them out of the INC™ Church therefore, leaving behind their salaries, housing, allowances. They are afraid to lose their jobs. Oh paid ministers!

To Ka Tenny Manalo, Ka Angel, Ka Marc, and their two sisters, claim what is yours. You have legitimate children of Ka Erdy, you shouldn't be afraid. Be bold. I believe that you have goodness in you. Use that, and find the light of God's salvation, not in a man-made church founded by your late grandfather but a Church founded by God. 

JESUS IS WAITING FOR YOU IN HIS TRUE CHURCH! If your own church dishonored you and disowned you, there is a CHURCH which is ready to welcome you. But you must DECLARE THAT JESUS IS GOD, and you will surely be saved!

The Iglesia ni Cristo “Pope”: “Tatay” Erdie

The Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) is mad as hell against the Catholic Church which they consider to be an apostate Church. INC ministers routinely attack Catholics for calling the Pope and the priests “father.” They charge that the Pope makes himself equal with God because he allows himself to be called “father.” The INC, of course, bases its misplaced arguments on Matthew 23:9 which says, “And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven” (NIV).

But, as usual, the INC is hypocritical. While the INC slams the Catholic Church for calling its Pope and priests as “father,” nevertheless, INC members call their late Executive Minister Eraño G. Manalo as “tatay.”

What does “tatay” mean?

Tagalog.Dictionary.Com defines “tatay” as:[1]

Like the Greek word pappas or the Latin term papa,[2] the Tagalog word tatay is a term of endearment used by children to address their father. It has the same meaning as the Aramaic word abba[3] – in English, daddy.[4]

INC members do not only consider or treat the late Eraño G. Manalo as father,[5] but they call him as such – Tatay Erdie. This once again shows the INC’s double standard and rank hypocrisy. I thought Matthew 23:9 prohibits calling any man on earth “father.” Yet, the Iglesia ni Cristo calls Eraño G. Manalo with the very same title the Lord Jesus taught us to call God, Abba (Lk. 11:2) – Daddy – Tatay.

Tatay means Daddy: What’s so hard to understand about this?

The INC condemns Catholics for calling the Pope and priests father, yet they do the same thing to their Executive Minister.

“You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things” (Rom. 2:1, NIV).

THE NATURE OF ANGELS AND WHY FELIX MANALO IS NOT AN ANGEL

Nearly all people have heard of angels or are at least familiar with pictures of them in popular culture. Yet, few perhaps, actually understand the nature of these creatures and their relationship with humans.

WHAT EXACTLY IS AN ANGEL?

The word “angel” means messenger. Truly, this reflects the office of the angels and their relationship with humans. As such, it should be realized that the word “angel” does not properly describe their nature; it only describes what they do in relationship to us.

Angels are more properly referred to as “spirits”, for this is what they are. An angel is an incorporeal spirit of great power and intelligence. They are at the very pinnacle of the order of God’s creation. Their spiritual nature is closest to the image of God, and thus they have great power and intellect (although not necessarily charity).

It is important to realize that an angel is not a dead human; in other words we do not become angels when we die and pass on to heaven.

Angels are as different from humans as animals are from us. Humans are endowed with sentience, conscience and a measure of intellect which divides us from the animals. In a similar manner, angels are endowed with a power and intellect not proper to man. In a sense, man is a composite creation which blends the nature of the animal (corporeality, instinct, passions) with the nature of the angels (free will, intellect, conscience, sentience and rationality).

****Thus the angels are not humans, and humans can never become one.***

When they choose to communicate with humans it is always by the will of God, and they serve as messengers from God. Angels can manifest themselves in corporeal form when they wish to communicate with us.

So how can Felix Manalo become an angel… jumping from one religion to another to become a self-declared angel later on. An angel never dies as human…. Felix died and not even a single miracle known to anyone outside INC. Only God can give instruction to HIS angels to communicate with humans as in the case of Blessed Mary during the Annunciation. There were more biblical and scriptural proof of angels communicating with human and even on human forms but only for a while not from childbirth up to the time he dies. Felix’ self-proclamation only existed in his human mind and definitely not from God.

THE NATURE OF THE ANGELS

Angels had three primary roles given to them by God. Their first role was to worship God. The blessed angels of heaven, which were not corrupted by Satan in the beginning of time, are able to gaze on the revealed nature of God and contemplate the mystery of the Trinity. In this way, the formidable intellect of the angels allows them to dwell on the infinite glory and goodness of God. As the psalmist records, “Adore Him, all you His angels” (Ps 96:7). This is the bliss of heaven; a bliss which sharpens the mind and brings eternal tranquility and charity.

The second major role of the angels is to implement the will of God. God uses the angels to order creation, implement the laws of the physical world and aid in the spiritual deliverance of man. The psalms records, “Bless the Lord, all ye His angels: you that are mighty in strength and execute His word, harkening to the voice of his orders” (Ps 102:20). There are many occasions in Scripture which record the implementation of God’s will in the physical world by the angels (Exo 14:19, Mt 13:49, 1 Chron 21). Additionally, they also petition God with prayers on our behalf (Tob 12:12, Mt 18:10). It is believed that God assigns a guardian angel to each person.

So did Felix tell us that he has no angel guardian because he was already an angel from his birth? Where in the bible says that an angel can be born and grew up to become adult, grew old, travelled, studied GOD using the bible and scriptures joining other religions to make sure his interpretations and translations of the sacred text are correct according to God’s will?

On our behalf, the angel prays for us and protects us from the evil angels (Mt 18:10). God’s use of the angels to implement his will is appropriate to a good God who values a familial relationship of charity between angels and men.

Finally, angels serve as messengers from God. Scripture records that the prophets received messages from God through angels. Indeed, the Virgin Mary received the good news of salvation from the angel Gabriel. Many of the prophets such as Ezekiel, Daniel, Abraham, and Isaiah received prophecies from the angels (Ezekiel 1:4, Daniel 7:16,.Genesis 22:11, Isaiah 6:2).

ORDERING OF THE ANGELS

There are several orders of angels like Cherubim, etc and the last order of angels is most familiar to man. This order is comprised of the Principalities, Archangels and Angels. Principalities are the leaders of the last order, and direct the actual implementation of God’s will. Archangels and angels actually carry out and execute what is to be done. This is why angels (such as Gabriel and Raphael) are the choir sent to communicate with man.

It is highly questionable for Felix to declare himself an angel just because he found a verse in the bible that would fit to his plan of becoming one so that he could maintain his supremacy among INC? And why did this angel wants to save members of INC only? Why not all humanity? Then why did this angel declared that Jesus is just another human and that HE is not GOD of the Holy Trinity?

IF INDEED FELIX IS AN ANGEL, THEN HOW SURE ARE WE THAT HE IS NOT ONE OF THE FALLEN ANGELS THAT CONTINUE TO LIE AND AS A LIAR DECEIVES HIS OWN FOLLOWERS? IF HE IS A FALLEN ANGEL, THEN WHERE DOES HE IS LEADING HIS BLIND FOLLOWERS?

I OBSERVED ONE OF THE GIFTS GIVING CELEBRATIONS DONE AT TIMES SQUARE IN NEW YORK THIS YEAR 2013 FOR THE SO-CALLED POOR PEOPLE. IT WAS WITH A LOT OF FUNFARE (VANITY) FOR THE WORLD TO SEE. IN CONTRAST THERE ARE GROUPS IN NEW YORK THAT DISTRIBUTES FOODS AND CLOTHING TO POOR AND HOMELESS ON A WEEKLY BASIS SILENTLY WITH NO MEDIA ANNOUNCEMENT AND MOST OF ALL NOT IN TIMES SQUARES SO THE WORLD CAN SEE. JESUS’ WAY IS HUMILITY. HE ONES SAID DON’T LET YOUR LEFT HAND SEE WHAT YOUR RIGHT HAND IS DOING. WHEN JESUS STARTED HIS MINISTRY, HE CHOSE TO WALK FOR 3 YEARS ON BARE FOOT. AND SURELY ANNOUNCING TO THE WORLD IN THE CENTER OF NEW YORK TIMES SQUARE THAT THEY ARE DISTRIBUTING GOODIES TO POOR PEOPLE IS SURELY NOT JESUS’ WAY. PRIDE IS NEVER PART OF JESUS’ MINISTRY.

Wake up brothers in sisters, let’s apostolate the world only in humility not with VANITY and FANFARE.

GOODNESS OF THE ANGELS

Moral goodness is not something that is dependent on the nature of a created being. The nature of a creature is the innate powers and potential given to a being by God. Because free will is a necessary part of the nature of man and angel, there exists the possibility of sin. Angels can, and have, sinned. Indeed, the original creation of God was perfect and moral in every possible way.

Unfortunately, Satan (for reasons we can only speculate on) a good Cherubim, decided to selfishly seek and increase his own glory and power beyond the limits set by God. When he refused to submit to the will of God he committed the first of all sins: the sin of pride. When Satan sinned in pride, he convinced many other angels to follow him into submission and evil. For this sin, he was expelled from heaven forever and was denied the immediate vision of God.

The good angels who resisted Satan’s temptations were admitted into the immediate vision of God and became firmly rooted in virtue. For this reason, the angels who resisted the first sin are no longer capable of sinning; they have made a permanent and indelible choice to submit to the love of God. The fallen angels, or devils as we now call them, are likewise permanently rooted in sin. It is not possible for a devil to repent of his sins.

This fact partially explains why belief in angels is a primary dogma of Catholic faith. Without belief in angels, there is no possible explanation for the existence of evil in the good creation of God.

I am Just curious why not one INC member or ministro makes comment on my comments here. Is it because I do not wish to engage in useless debate but simply sighting my personal thoughts of what is truth and lies? Yes I am not a debater and will never be. If I see error on any comments, I will surely point them out.

Was it coincidental that I did not receive any comment from members of the Iglesia ni Cristo (1914) during the Christmas Day?

The reason why I am smiling about it is because I normally receive (nasty) comments (plural) from members of Manalo's cult on a daily basis. But yesterday till today I received none.

I can only assume that these Iglesia ni Cristo were not in their computers: THEY WERE BUSY CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS too.

Indeed, have a BLESSED CHRISTMAS to all the Iglesia ni Cristo (1914) members. Hopefully you enjoyed our CHRISTMAS. We know that you don't celebrate Christmas doctrinally but PRACTICALLY you do.
