"The Christianity of history is not Protestantism. If ever there were a safe truth it is this, and Protestantism has ever felt it so; to be deep in history is to cease to be a Protestant." (-John Henry Newman, An Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine).

"Where the bishop is, there let the people gather; just as where ever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church". -St. Ignatius of Antioch (ca 110 AD)a martyr later thrown to the lions, wrote to a church in Asia Minor. Antioch was also where the term "Christian" was first used.

“But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth.” 1 Timothy 3:15

"This is the sole Church of Christ, which in the Creed we profess to be one, holy, catholic and apostolic." -CCC 811

Fake news! Sumukong ‘lider ng NPA’, militar pala – CPP
Abante

INC™-1914 has only 2.3 Million follower?

Bragging they have more than 10 million followers, the Iglesia Ni Cristo®-1914 couldn't hide the fact that they only have more than a million die-hard supporters who are ready to defend their disobedient Executive Minister who kicked-out his own mother and siblings from the INC™-1914 founded by their grandfather Felix Y. Manalo.
"The Catholic Church in the Philippines counts at least 80,304,061 followers or 80% of the entire Philippine population, according to data from the Philippine Statistics Authority. Also in the millions is the home-grown Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) which has about 2.3 Filipinos followers." [Source: Rappler]

When both religious institutions were criticized by Rappler, their journalists get two different reaction. From the Catholic Church, there were no vicious threats against their writers. In fact, their criticisms were all respected. Ironically, this “church” that boasts on its historic “return” (daw) to Rome (PASUGO God's Message February 2014, p. 7), the INC™-1914, its administration and their supporters did the unthinkable dipping their group to a cult-like religion.
"We weren't spared. We were attacked relentlessly and accused of being biased. We were targets of calls for a boycott. But we persisted."

Statement from the Bishops of the Catholic Church in the Philippines - the True Church of Christ - in response to the Iglesia Ni Cristo® lawless mob rule trying to intimidate the Department of Justice for investigating alleged kidnappings and torture of its expulsed ministers

Unlike the Iglesia Ni Cristo®'s leaders, the Catholic Church in the Philippines which is the TRUE CHURCH OF CHRIST (ang tunay na Iglesia ni Cristo)  is the moral guide to the entire nation, bringing hope, peace and love whenever it's being challenged.  Similarly, we Catholics aren't blind followers. We use our God-given wisdom to weigh what's morally right from wrong. We do not support violence in any way. We may criticize the on-going INC™ lawless (and some violent) mob rally but we do not hate. We are challenging the INC™ admin to let JUSTICE prevail to those former INC™ Ministers being harassed, detained and some complained of torture. This is WHERE the DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE is MORE CONCERN than your man-made, almost very unchristian behavior.  -CD2000

CBCP Statement for the CATHOLIC RESPONSE TO THE IGLESIA NI CRISTO RALLIES

Sons and Daughters of the Church, Citizens of the Republic

Catholic Response To The Iglesia Ni Cristo Rallies

What do we Catholics do as our brothers and sisters of the Iglesia ni Cristo throng around the EDSA Shaw area?

We, your bishops, offer you these guidelines:

1. PRAY WITHOUT CEASING for a peaceful and just resolution of the present dispute, in a manner both pleasing to God and in conformity with the democratic convictions enunciated in our Constitution.

2. BE CHARITABLE AT ALL TIMES AND IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES. Jesus, the Lord, willed His disciples to be known by their love. No Catholic should fan the flames of dissension by rumor-mongering and by inflammatory statements. Let all be kind in disposition, respectful in speech and prudent in action.

3. SEEK ENLIGHTENMENT. We appeal to our Catholic lawyers, jurists and law professors to contribute to the on-going discourse in a constructive manner, without condemnation. We seek to be enlightened on what the fundamental law of the land provides, the boundaries of the freedom of religion and the rights and the prerogatives of State.

4. RESPECT HOLY SITES. The EDSA Shrine is a Catholic center of worship. It is a church. There is a Catholic priest assigned to it. We ask that all respect the sacred character of the Edsa Shrine.

5. ABIDE BY THE LAW. Unless it is convincingly shown that a law offends moral precepts, obedience to the law is a Christian duty. Sons and daughters of the Church cannot be less observant of the law than other citizens of the Republic.

6. NO TO OPPORTUNISM. No politician should gain political ground by abetting dissension or, worse, fostering disregard of the Constitution and the law. Neither is it morally correct for any political party to aim at gaining an advantage by controlling a religious sect known to propose to its members a chosen set of candidates.

If we turn to the Lord in sincere prayer, then, we are firm in the faith that all wounds shall be healed.

The Department of Justice, the Iglesia Ni Cristo® and why the latter turned Violent and why the INC™ should be investigated!

ABS-CBN Broadcaster Anthony Taberna's Resto, nephew of ousted INC™ Minister Isaias Samson Jr. was shot

News Source: Inquirer.Net

Anthony Taberna (Source: Inquirer.net)
For his articulate, feisty opinions on all topics under the sun, the popular broadcaster has maintained his silence on the power struggle roiling his church that came to light in late July when the mother and brother of Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) executive minister Eduardo Manalo posted a video on YouTube asking for help, saying their lives were in danger.

But on Friday, broadcaster Anthony Taberna spoke up if vaguely.

The shooting of his newly opened coffee shop may or may not be related to the increasingly acrimonious conflict within the INC church involving Taberna’s uncle, the recently expelled minister Isaias Samson Jr.

2.25 Million membership since 1914: 'The rise of INC: 'Stricter religions grow stronger'?

Is it true that the Iglesia Ni Cristo® membership is rising? Michael Buesa of Rappler.com reported in July 26, 2014 a day before the INC's 100 Year Founding Anniversary the following:
"There are a total of 2,251,941 members of the INC in the Philippines, according to the National Statistics Office (NSO). It is a 28% increase, from 1,762,845 in 2000."

The National Statistics Office (NSO) reported that in 2000 INC's total membership was 1.76 million of which it increased to 2.25 million in 2014.  Translate that it means for 14 long years, the Iglesia Ni Cristo® increased just only 487,155 members only. And for a hundred years, just roughly 2.25 millions?

Rapler's Paterno Esmaquel II reiterated the same data with a catchy headlines saying  The rise of INC: 'Stricter religions grow stronger'
"... the INC, the Church of Christ, a group that has grown to 2.25 million followers from only a dozen when it was born in the Philippines in 1914."

Perhaps, that's the reason why the Iglesia Ni Cristo Administration do not want to divulge their exact members.  But something the INC cannot contradict is the fact that their church, has nothing to do with the original Church of Jesus Christ...

The Founder of Iglesia Ni Cristo® is Felix Manalo, and NOT Christ!

Source: Know The Truth

PASUGO Abril 1966, p. 46:

A city within a city ika nga.
Narito ang sabi ng kanilang website "How the restoration began involved the meetings of Filipino brethren working in major cities in Italy; France, and Spain quarter of a century ago. Whether they met by chance or sought out one another, they were drawn together by a common yearning for spiritual nourishment." -http://www.iglesianicristowebsite.com/Pages/5a-global-expansion.html

Heto ang sabi ng kanilang website: "Malaysia as a nation was formed in 1963, five years before the Iglesia Ni Cristo set out with its overseas mission, initially establishing congregations in the West. From the mid-1980s to early 90s, when the Malaysian economy was picking up and enjoying unprecedented growth, Church Of Christ prayer groups in both the eastern and western sides of Malaysia began to be formed. The Church Administration, then led by the late Executive Minister, Brother Erafio G. Manalo..."

LESOTHO FLAG
May mga Lesothians bang kaanib ng INC™? WALA RIN PO! Pinoy pa rin po ang naron sa kanilang INC congregation sa Lesotho: "Such was the experience Brother Rogelio Rafols Sr., a medical doctor from the Philippines, who came to southern Africa in 1977 to work under the United Nations Development Program."

FIRST DIVISION

PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES, plaintiff-appellee, vs. JUANITO ABELLA, DIOSDADO GRANADA, BENJAMIN DE GUZMAN, and EDGARDO VALENCIA,accused-appellants.

D E C I S I O N

DAVIDE, JR., C.J.:

It all started with an altercation during a basketball game. Three days later, or on 10 March 1992, the bodies of MARLON[1] Ronquillo; JOSEPH Ronquillo; ERWIN Lojero; ANDRES Lojero, Jr.; and FELIX Tamayo were fished out of the murky waters of the Pasig River, filthy, bloated, putrid, and decomposing. Postmortem examinations on the cadavers showed signs of foul play.

MARLON’s hands were tied at the back with a black electric cord. He had lacerated wounds, contusions, ligature marks and hematoma. He died from a gunshot wound on the head.[2]

ANDRES’ hands were bound at the back with a plastic flat rope with four loops. His genitals were cut off; and he had ligature marks, contusions, and hematoma. The cause of his death was “asphyxia by strangulation; hemorrhage, intracranial, traumatic.”[3]

INC -Iglesia ni Cristo and the mentality of exclusivity

A young member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo questions the teachings she has grown up with
By Malaya dela Cruz through Rappler.com

I’ve been an Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) member since I was born and my father is a minister. My siblings and I were raised to behold as absolute truth all doctrines without question. As kids, we’re brazen to tell our friends “Mag-Iglesia ka na kundi mapupunta ka sa dagat-dagatang apoy.” (Convert to Iglesia; otherwise, you'll end up in hell)

We’re flying with wings of righteousness holding the light to guide those lost in the darkness, we call sanlibutan; completely convinced that we’re indeed the chosen ones come judgment day. All we have to do is follow like sheep and salvation is certain. This is my myopic reality.

Into the darkness

Coming of age, I learned our creationist view is indubitably wrong given the insurmountable evidences against it, yet I find this mistake tolerable; assuming perhaps a scientifically-informed interpretation of the bible isn’t necessary for salvation. I was indifferent about this just as I am in overriding any of my rights for the sake of unity; trusting that it’s always for the good of the church.

What became unbearable is having my consciousness raised about the multi-dimensional causes of poverty. I cannot unlearn what I know now - that the terrible social realities we dismiss right before our eyes as normal is caused by injustice from existing power structures in society.

It was alarming for I was undeniably guilty of being part of a church responsible for reinforcing structures that sustain poverty through our social attitude and practice of ‘unity.’

We are INC first before we are Filipinos

It is our faith, albeit fatalistic, that the world will inevitably perish and no developmental agenda by man could prevent it; we are only travelers here for our true residence is the kingdom of heaven. Hence, we resign concern about matters outside our kingdom unless it might undermine doctrines or the church administration.

We show power in numbers through bloc-voting and secure key positions in the government in order to protect the interests of the church, never mind whether it’s a corrupt official as long as the church is secured. This is why INC was indifferent during the People Power I despite all the atrocious harm done towards the Filipino people - all because we allied with former president Ferdinand Marcos, the dictator.

Culture of apathy

Since our primary concern is the good of the church and not of the people in general, an apathetic attitude towards social issues is fostered among members.

We’re prohibited to participate in any form of social mobilization or unions because it’s against the unity of the church, even if such actions addresses concerns that directly affect the welfare of members.

Greedy corporations who operate with inhumane policies are fortunate as INC members are willing allies to preserve an unfair system. We abstain claiming accountability from power-holders in the name of ‘peace.’ - a peace that is oblivious of its implications.

Yes, we’re an obedient flock of docile sheep but we’re also subtle criminals and dignified perpetrators of injustices against our fellowmen. With brilliant pride we take the side of the oppressors.

Our brand of humanitarianism

The provision of generous aid to millions of non-members through medical missions, relief distributions and housing projects are token gestures, for “conversion” is our utmost motivation by exploiting the sense of utang na loob (debt of gratitude).

INC’s brand of humanitarianism does not involve championing the interest and welfare of the poor by addressing root causes of social issues. Our humanitarian cause is the 'noblest' of all: to save your soul from damnation by converting you to the one true Church of Christ.

Masters of mobilization

We’re taught that hardships and misfortunes in life are either caused by sin or are trials we must endure. However, evidence suggests that societal structures and how its citizens participate in shaping it in the course of history is the concrete reason for the everyday struggles of today. Poverty is avoidable, development is a choice.

The public witnessed INC’s power to amass more than a million people in its administrations’ behest. If the church could use its clout to truly help the nation by addressing long term needs and root causes of perennial social issues – such as lobbying and supporting genuine agrarian reform, a fair wage and other issues that affect the marginalized majority, where many of its own members come from, we shall contribute to societal change.

Aren't we humans first?

My conscience is disturbed when I saw my fellow brethren exalte upon news of famine, war, destruction and calamities where thousands of people lay dead. Some even said, “Makasalanan kasi ang sanlibutan, matuwa tayo dahil nalalapit ang kaligtasan natin.” (The people are sinful. We should be happy because our salvation is near.) They seem to forget we’re humans first before we even subscribe to any religion.

'Saving your soul' as a single mission is quite selfish in the face of human suffering. I understand it stems from fear and existential uncertainties, but It’s wrong to choose a convenient personal escape and say “kung gusto niyo rin maligtas, umanib na kayo” (if you want to be saved, join us) instead of engaging in collective action driven by empathy and compassion.

We glory over the Philippine Arena, Guinness records, and the thousands of congregations we’ve built like the elite ruler gloating over his empire.

There is harm in a mentality of exclusivity when we operate in the context of a larger society. Imagining a fragmented reality wherein we are only travelers goes against the truth that we have a responsibility to contribute and cooperate in facilitating change in the world. We can do this by renouncing apathy and using our power to mobilize for the good of people. - Rappler.com

By the time of his death in 1963, the Iglesia ni Cristo had become a nation-wide church with 1,250 local chapels, and 35 large concrete cathedrals. His son Eraño Manalo became the next church leader and lead a campaign to grow and internationalize the church until his death on August 31, 2009, whereupon his son, Eduardo V. Source: AP News/ PDI:

More than 1.5 million people converged here Monday for a powerful Christian sect’s evangelical event, causing traffic chaos that shut down large parts of the megacity.

The gathering of the secretive and politically influential Iglesia ni Cristo (Church of Christ) in the historic district of Manila forced all schools and some government offices to close.

...Iglesia ni Cristo, which is believed to have about three million members, held the event ostensibly as a medical and charity mission, with its followers giving aid to residents of huge slums.

... Founded by Felix Manalo in 1914, Iglesia ni Cristo exerts huge political influence in the Philippines.

INQUIRER on INC®: "Felix Manalo who founded the congregation in 1914"

NEWS FACT: Jesus didn't found the Iglesia ni Cristo® (INC®) as what they claim. Here's what our Philippine Local News say about the sect:

"Felix Manalo who founded the congregation [INC®] in 1914."  Philippine Daily Inquirer Online

"Iglesia ni Cristo, which is believed to have about three million members, held the event ostensibly as a medical and charity mission, with its followers giving aid to residents of huge slums.

THREAT from the Iglesia ni Cristo®?

Photo source: Politics and Church blog
I received one comment, subtle yet it's threatening. Could be a joke but could be a stern warning. Considering how members of the Iglesia ni Cristo would do anything, even extreme violent and un-Christian way to terminate those whom they see as attacking Manalo and his INC®.

From INC® Anonymous August 1, 2013 at 3:25 AM
Tsk tsk, playing safesi fafa. ha ha ha. Tuwang tuwa tuloy mga bakla. [Surprise, you're still alive. ha ha ha. The Pope said, don't blame gays. What's that? Because your priests are gays. ha ha ha.  He should have advised, don't do what gays do. Tsk, tsk, tsk, playing safesi (sic) fafa. ha ha ha. Now gays are rejoicing.]
I won't go pathetic with this message but if anything happens to me (violently) considering how they're so violent when cornered (you can read here, here), how they inherited bad attitudes, I'd say blame it to the Iglesia ni Cristo® for not chastising their violent members, because what I know is that I don't have natural enemies.

Pray for all Filipino CATHOLIC DEFENDERS out there who are roundly threatened by members of this cult. May God have mercy on their souls.  Holy Mary, pray for us and keep us safe from the enemies of your beloved Son, Jesus our Lord, Savior and our God. Amen!

Why All the Iglesia ni Cristo® claims and what they know about the Catholic Church are deep in error!

Comments from Iglesia ni Cristo® (INC) logo: Christian or Masonic symbol? by a Catholic revert from INC® back to the Catholic Church.

When I went back to Catholicism after years of listening (INC was one of them) and going to other denominations Jesus gave me a special message during one of my deep meditations (in original tagalog) which I would like to share with everyone.

Right after receiving the message.. I grabbed a pen and paper and wrote them without thinking nor trying to remember how He said it…it flowed effortlessly and done in just few seconds without stopping even half a second. I share this message to anyone who is ready to receive this. I did not dare to translate into English for fear that I may translate it wrongly.

THE PROBLEM WITH INC is that they use their mind to rationalize every word they read in the bible instead of using their hearts and try to meditate the real spiritual meaning of the scriptures they read. If only they search and read the Bible in all entirety, their is a good chance they will be able to connect with verses that are related in meaning. The danger is when you translate the Bible into the Filipino Language there is always a chance that translations will be accorded to the capacity of whoever is doing the translation of the Holy Scriptures. The most complete and perhaps void of errors is the Catholic Bible as the scriptures written where taken from the original books carefully studied and transcribed by many holy persons (not by few) not in months or years but centuries to make sure there were no errors during transcription. The Catholic Bible is the result of many minds (holy and mystics) who gathered together to put together all books done in centuries not days or months and transcribed them into one Bible for all Christians and Gentiles. When the protestant wants to translate the bible according to their needs that was the beginning of the advent of many religions to come and they come and go. Most non-Catholic bible were the translations of only few people and done in shorter times. Felix Manalo did his own thorough studies and comparison of different bibles in 3 days only though may have developed the rest of INC’s bible as the sect grew and progress of the years. Catholic Bible has been reviewed and re-reviewed by many theologians and bible scholars for one purpose only to ensure that there are no errors, additions and omissions. In other non-catholic bible there are additions and omissions of books and scriptures. This is what the Book of Revelation has been warning everyone not the mere addition or omission of some words or verses as other verses can cover them but they are the omission of books. Like Islam, they have omitted several books and added some to the original books of scriptures from the Genesis thru Revelation. When I read King James Bible several times, I decided to just keep and use the complete original and error free Catholic Bible that was originally translated into English not in Tagalog as I am having an issue on they way the were translated which not all can fully grasp (too wordy).
