A Quick Refutation of an Internet Lie

I was sent the attached graphic earlier today as I was going to preach on Philippians 2:5-11 at a local Southern Baptist Church here in Rapid City before returning home tomorrow to Phoenix. Here is the English translation that was provided to me:

"The proof that INC won the debate:

After the heated debate between Dr. James White and Joe Ventilacion of INC, Dr James White has made up his mind to study more on teachings and faith of the Iglesia ni Cristo. This is due to the fact that he has by himself witnessed that all the teachings of INC is plainly stated in the Bible.

No wonder that even if the debate was already over, James White, out of his curiosity, continues to ask questions to Joe Ventilacion, because it was his first time to hear these teachings from INC. Most importantly, Dr. White has concluded that there is no Trinity in the Bible and that there is only one God, the Father, which has to be known and worshipped by men."

The picture was taken by an INC member we had chatted with while waiting for Mr. Ventilacion to arrive for the 5pm Q&A session (which was very lightly attended). As I had other things to get to I went straight to JV and asked my question. If we need to, I can provide a full transcript and recording of the conversation. Here is what we discussed:

When I do debates, I attempt to accurately represent the other side by studying their primary source documents. Hence, when I debate Mormons, I have a very large LDS library from which to quote. Same with Jehovah's Witnesses. When I debate Islam, I quote from their primary source documents as well. And when someone wants to represent me fairly, they surely can do so, as my books are available for anyone to read, and the confessions of faith used by my church are public and readily available.

During our debate, JV said I was misrepresenting INC. But he also invited me to do a second debate (we discussed doing this in San Diego next year during this conversation). So I raised one main issue to him. There is a book I would like to obtain. It is titled _Fundamental Beliefs of the Iglesia Ni Christo_ by Eranio G. Manalo. It is their primary ministerial text. And it is secret. They do not allow public distribution of it. And so I was asking for a copy, as that would be the only way to accurately represent INC's positions in a debate. I was told it was only for ministers, and that I would be provided with articles from magazines, but not with the official publication that defines their beliefs. I pointed out that this secretive stance is not only problematic for people who claim to be Christians, but it makes it next to impossible to fairly debate INC. But I was not given the book.

JV and I exchanged numbers and email addresses so we can have contact regarding the possibility of a debate in San Diego (where he is moving). I wrote to JV earlier today to ask him to comment on this falsehood being spread through the Internet, but I have not received a response from him.

Now, the fact is, whoever posted this lie is engaging in CLASSIC cultic behavior. Such a person shows not the slightest concern for truth and is willing to fabricate falsehoods for the service of a false religious system. This is the very essence of the cultic mind.

Once again, everything in the article is an utter fabrication, a lie, *and we possess full documentation of every word spoken in the exchange by which we can prove this.* Only a person who feels a very strong need to do damage control would produce such a dishonest post. And that says a great deal.

Another deception by the Iglesia Ni Cristo® Media of a Certain Ferdinand Mendez

A certain "Fr. Ferdinand Mendez" was featured in one of Iglesia Ni Cristo®'s Church News. And according to them, Mr. Ferdinand Mendez was a "former" Catholic priest of the "Eastern Order of Saint Basil Lady of Fatima Missions" which is nonexistent according to registered Catholic orders and congregations available in the internet.

An "eastern" Catholic wearing a "Western" priestly garments?????????????????!

According to this Tweeter user @aprilkaygardose (Nhonoy@yahoo.com), he is a member of such non-existent Easter Order of Saint Basil:

He posted his intention to MEET THE CATHOLIC POPE (FRANCIS) whom he considers HOLY!

He even followed POPE FRANCIS's Tweeter and Our Lady of Fatima Missions (OLFMissions) which are all WESTERN, not easterm.

On September 25, 2016, during the Philippine sect “Iglesia Ni Cristo”'s event in Lagao Gymnasium, in General Santos City, they are boosting that infront of their 50, 000 members, a priest of the Orthodox Church in the person of JOHN NGALON COLLADO take off his priestly vestment and converted to their sect. The video, photos and statements were attached on their post on social media. To shed light on this, we would like to correct the false claim of the Iglesia ni Cristo sect as well as the crime commited by Mr. Collado by declaring the following FACTS:

1.) MR. JOHN COLLADO IS NOT (AND NEVER HAS BEEN) AN ORTHODOX PRIEST

2.) MR. JOHN COLLADO HAS NOT BEEN ORDAINED EVEN IN THE LOWEST RANK WHICH IS AN ORTHODOX READER

3.) MR. JOHN COLLADO IS A FORMER PRIEST OF THE PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENT CATHOLIC CHURCH (PICC) ALSO KNOWN AS AGLIPAYAN CHURCH WHO GO ON SCHISM FROM PICC TOGETHER WITH OTHER AGLIPAYAN PRIESTS AND CREATED THE INDEPENDENT CATHOLIC CHURCH OF MINDANAO (ICCM).

4.) MR. JOHN COLLADO TOGETHER WITH OTHER ICCM CLERGIES CONVERTED VOLUNTARILY THEMSELVES TO THE ORTHODOX CHURCH (MOSCOW PATRIARCHATE) AND WE KNOW HIM ONLY FOR 2 1/2 YEARS.

5.) HE FORFEITED HIS AGLIPAYAN PRIESTHOOD IN AUGUST 2015 AND WAS BAPTIZED AS AN ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN AND BECAME AN ORTHODOX LAYMAN.

6.) SINCE HE IS A NEW CONVERT, WHOSE EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND IS ONLY A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE (WHICH IS ALLOWED IN AGLIPAYANISM FOR ORDINATION), AND HE NEVER ENTER INTO A PROPER SEMINARY EVEN IN HIS AGLIPAYAN TIMES, AND UPON CONSIDERATION OF THE NATURE OF HIS UNSTABLE CHARACTER, HE IS NOT EVEN AMONG OF THOSE CANDIDATES FOR ORTHODOX PRIESTHOOD.

7.) HIS STATEMENTS THAT HE NOW FORFEITS HIS ORTHODOX PRIESTHOOD ARE FRAUDULENT. HE IS MISLEADING THE PUBLIC BY LYING PUBLICLY AND HAS COMMITTED A CRIME OF MISREPRESENTATION AGAINST THE ORTHODOX CHURCH.

8.) THE VESTMENT WHICH HE IS WEARING AND TAKEN OFF AS SHOWN IN THE VIDEO IS NOT A VESTMENT OF AN ORTHODOX PRIEST BUT OF A CATHOLIC ONE AS COPIED BY THE AGLIPAYANS.

9.) THE RUSSIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH MISSION IN THE PHILIPPINES TO WHICH MR. COLLADO HAS BELONGED, IS ONLY MORE THAN TWO YEARS SINCE WE STARTED OUR MISSION AND WERE NOT ORDAINING YET NOT EVEN A SINGLE FILIPINO ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN TO ANY RANKS OF PRIESTHOOD AND HAVE NO PRIEST YET AS OF THIS TIME IN THE PHILIPPINES.

Having said the above facts, we reproach the leaders and members of the so called “Iglesia Ni Cristo” for spreading lies publicly WITHOUT verifying first the background of Mr. Collado. This only proves that this sect is IRRESPONSIBLE and NOT preaching the Truth as they even unable to do a background check to verify the claims of Mr. Collado, OR knowlingly facilitates the fradulent activity. We know the “Iglesia Ni Cristo” has a capacity to do verifications or background checks as they have members who work in many government agencies, yet they opt to just spread lies on their evangelism activities, a proof that their “evangelization” is accompanied with LIES.

We are calling all people of goodwill, including public media and government authorities not to be mislead by the lies propagated by Mr. Collado, and to refrain from further publicizing these lies.

To all Orthodox Christians, let us pray for Mr. Collado's soul and for his repentance.

Sa Lucas 4:8 ay ganito nga po ang ating mababasa, atin pong tunghayan:

“At si Jesus ay sumagot at sinabi sa kaniya, Nasusulat, Sa Panginoon mong Dios sasamba ka, at siya lamang ang iyong paglilingkuran.”

At sa Apoc.22:8-9 naman po ganito din po ang ating mababasa:

“At akong si Juan, ako ang nakarinig at nakakita ng mga bagay na ito. At nang aking marinig at makita, ay nagpatirapa ako upang sumamba sa harapan ng anghel na nagpakita sa akin ng mga bagay na ito. At sinasabi niya sa akin, Ingatan mong huwag gawin iyan: ako'y kapuwa mo alipin at ng iyong mga kapatid na mga propeta, at ng mga tumutupad ng mga salita ng aklat na ito: sumamba ka sa Dios.”

Subalit bago po tayo gumawa ng ganyang reaksyon, tama nga ba na sa pagsamba ng Iglesia ni Cristo kay Cristo, ay sumasamba sa tao ang mga kaanib?

Ang sagot po ay HINDI!

Baka sabihin ninyo, teka, sandal lang! diba naniniwala kayong tao si Cristo, tapos sinasamba ninyo, eh di sumasamba nga kayo sa tao?

Ang sagot nga po ay HINDI!

Kalunus-lunos itong kinikilalang “dios” ng mga kaanib ng INC^® sapagkat siya ay isang “dios” na nag-uutos ng LABAG sa kanyang SARILING KAUTUSAN.

Anong sabi sa Lucas 4:8 : “… Nasusulat, Sa Panginoon mong Dios sasamba ka, at siya lamang ang iyong paglilingkuran.”

Dios LAMANG daw ang dapat SAMBAHIN at PAGLINGKURAN. At ito ay NASUSULAT! Period!

“Sh'ma Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu Adonai Echad”

Sa English ay ganito: "Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God! The Lord Alone (or One)!"

Ganyan ang ginawa nila kay Cristo. Akala nila ay NAGPAPANGGAP lamang siya.

Kaya’t kung si CRISTO ay TUNAY na sugo ng Dios, at alam niyang TAO LAMANG pala siya, bakit niya HINAYAAN ang mga TAO na SUMAMBA sa kanya? Hindi ba't dapat SIYA MISMO ang MAGTURO sa kanilang TANGING ang DIOS lamang ang SASAMBAHIN?

Pero HINDI 'yan ang katotohanan!

ALAM na ALAM ni CRISTO kung SINO SIYA bago siya NAGKATAWANG-TAO.  Siya ay DIOS na tunay at TAONG tunay din!

But Jesus was silent. Then the high priest said to him, “I order you to tell us under oath before the living God whether you are the Messiah, the Son of God.” Jesus said to him in reply, “You have said so. But I tell you: 

From now on you will see ‘the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Power’ and ‘coming on the clouds of heaven.’” 

Then the high priest tore his robes and said, “He has lasphemed! What further need have we of witnesses? You have now heard the blasphemy; what is your opinion?” They said in reply, “He deserves to die!”

Ano raw?

Inaakusahan ng mga PUNONG SASERDOTE (mga Hudyo) si Jesus na “NAGPAPANGGAP” lamang na KAPANTAY ng DIOS. At PINANUMPA siya sa ngalan ng DIOS na BUHAY kung SIYA nga ba'y TOTOONG ANAK ng DIOS? (as in 'ANAK')?

At mula sa kanyang BIBIG kanyang winika: “From now on you will see ‘the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Power’ and ‘coming on the clouds of heaven.”

Hindi lang daw siya ANAK ng DIOS kundi MAKIKITA pa SIYANG NAKALUKLOK sa KANAN ng AMA (DIOS) at PARIRITO mula sa KALANGITAN!!!

Anong sagot ng Punong Saserdote?

BLASPHEMY!!!!

Ang sagot daw ni Jesus ay isang KASUMPA-SUMPA sapagkat INAANGKIN na niya ang pagka-DIOS na sa kanilang paniwala ay Ama lamang ang Dios!

Ang mga PATOTOO ni Jesus ay PAG-AMIN na siya nga ay ANAK NG DIOS-- ibig sabihin ay KAPANTAY ng DIOS at KATULAD ng DIOS.

Sa MATA at PANG-UNAWA ng isang HUDYO ang mga patotoo ni Jesus ay KAHINDIK-HINDIK at KARIMARIMARIM na pahayag. Na tanging KAMATAYAN lamang ang makapagpipigil sa 'KAHIBANGAN' ni Jesus. Kaya't binansagan din siyang "LUNATIC' (Jn 10:20).

At dahil TALOS ni JESUS na TAMA LAHAT ang kanilang iniisip, TINANGGAP niya ang KAPARUSAHAN-- KAMATAYAN -- KAMATAYAN sa KRUS!

Nabanggit na rin lang naman natin ang 'PAGTANGGAP ni JESUS sa KAMATAYAN' mababasa natin ito sa FILIPOS 2:3-11, at ITO rin ang ginamit na TALATA nitong kaanib ng INC^® pero PANSININ NINYO kung PAANO HAYAGANG pinutol ang naunang mga talata upang MAIKUBLI ang TOTOONG DAHILAN ng TUNAY na KALIKASAN ni Cristo!

Tingnan natin ang kanilang PANDARAYA at PANLILINLANG gamit ang Biblia!

Sa Filipos 2:9-11 ay ganito po ang ating mababasa, atin pong tunghayan….

“Kaya siya naman ay pinakadakila ng Dios, at siya'y binigyan ng pangalang lalo sa lahat ng pangalan; Upang sa pangalan ni Jesus ay iluhod ang lahat ng tuhod, ng nangasa langit, at ng nangasa ibabaw ng lupa, at ng nangasa ilalim ng lupa, At upang ipahayag ng lahat ng mga dila na si Jesucristo ay Panginoon, sa ikaluluwalhati ng Dios Ama.”

Sa talata po ating mapapansin ang mga banggit na,”lahat ng tuhod” Sa lahat po ng may tuhod, ang tao po ba walang tuhod?

Ang sagot po natin syempre po ang tao ay may tuhod, kaya kasama ang tao sa pinasasamba.

Sa English “all knees shall bow down” na ang kahulugan nga ay pagsamba.

Sa talata din ating nabasa na katulad ng nasa Heb.1:4 nagmana ng marilag na pangalan, dito naman sa Filipos 2:9 ating nabasa na “siya'y binigyan ng pangalang lalo sa lahat ng pangalan” upang ano daw?

Sa pangalan na iyan ay ay iluhod ang lahat ng tuhod.

PANSININ: INUMPISAHAN niya ang pagku-quote sa FILIPOS sa TALATA 2:9 at tinapos sa VERSE 11: “Kaya siya naman ay pinakadakila ng Dios, at siya'y binigyan ng pangalang lalo sa lahat ng pangalan; Upang sa pangalan ni Jesus ay iluhod ang lahat ng tuhod, ng nangasa langit, at ng nangasa ibabaw ng lupa, at ng nangasa ilalim ng lupa, At upang ipahayag ng lahat ng mga dila na si Jesucristo ay Panginoon, sa ikaluluwalhati ng Dios Ama.”

Heto ang KABUUAN ng FILIPOS 2 at UUMPISAHAN natin sa 5-11. Yung GREEN (Berde) ang sadyang INALIS at ITAGO sa mata ng kanilang mambabasa, at 'yung RED (Pula) ang kanilang PINILING SITAS:

Mangagkaroon kayo sa inyo ng pagiisip, na ito'y na kay Cristo Jesus din naman:

Na siya, bagama't nasa anyong Dios, ay hindi niya inaring isang bagay na nararapat panangnan ang pagkapantay niya sa Dios, 

Kundi bagkus hinubad niya ito, at naganyong alipin, na nakitulad sa mga tao: At palibhasa'y nasumpungan sa anyong tao, siya'y nagpakababa sa kaniyang sarili, na nagmasunurin hanggang sa kamatayan, oo, sa kamatayan sa krus.

Kaya siya naman ay pinakadakila ng Dios, at siya'y binigyan ng pangalang lalo sa lahat ng pangalan; Upang sa pangalan ni Jesus ay iluhod ang lahat ng tuhod, ng nangasa langit, at ng nangasa ibabaw ng lupa, at ng nangasa ilalim ng lupa,

At upang ipahayag ng lahat ng mga dila na si Jesucristo ay Panginoon, sa ikaluluwalhati ng Dios Ama.

Kopyahin natin ang English Version sa Philippians 2

Have among yourselves the same attitude that is also yours in Christ Jesus,

Who, though he was in the form of God,did not regard equality with God something to be grasped.

Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross.

Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Nakita niyo ang VERSE na KANILANG INALIS at ITINAGO?

Ang VERSES 5-8 dahil NAKASAAD doon ang pagka-DIOS ni CRISTO!

IKINUBLI nila sa inyo ang KATOTOHANAN!

Kung bakit 'BINIGYAN' ng Dios Ama ng KADAKILAAN sa LAHAT ang PANGALAN ni Jesus sapagkat:

• Siya'y nasa ANYONG DIOS ngunit NAGPAKABABA!
• Hindi lang po siya nagpakababa, kundi NAGMISTULANG ALIPIN
• At TINANGGAP ang KAMATAYAN!
• Hindi lang kamatayan—isang NAKAKAHIYANG uri ng KAMATAYAN!
• KAMATAYAN sa KRUS!

Kita niyo na ang PANLILINLANG ng mga alipores ni Manalo?

Ayaw ng Iglesia ni Cristo^® at ng kanilang mga bayarang Ministro IPAKITA sa inyo ang Verse 3-8 na nagsasabing “SIYA (JESUS) ay NASA ANYONG DIOS… nasumpungan sa ANYONG TAO..."

At ano pa man ang kanilang sabihin, iisa lang ang mensahe.

HINDI nila kayang PASINUNGALINGAN ang KATOTOHANAN kung bakit SINASAMBA ng mga KRISTIANO si JESUS ay sapagkat SIYA’Y DIOS na “nasumpungan sa anyong tao.”

Sa kanila, di nila alam kung BAKIT nila SINASAMBA si Jesus na TAO LAMANG.

INIUTOS lamang daw ng Dios Ama kaya nila ginagawa?

Wow, brilliant!

Pero sa ating tunay na SUMASAMBA sa NAG-IISANG DIOS, si Cristo ay SINASAMBA sapagkat SIYA at ang AMA ay IISA!

Sila na rin ang NAG-QUOTE ng BIBLIA:

Bakit natin natitiyak na ang Ama ang nagbigay, samantalang wala naman tayong mababasa na Ama sa talata?

Simple lang ang ating sagot dyan, alam naman natin na ang biblia ay hindi lang Filipos 2:9 meron pang ibang talata na nakasulat sa biblia. Kung gayon, pano po natin natitiyak na ang Diyos na binabanggit sa talata ay ang Ama? Hindi po tayo magkukuro-kuro, biblia din po ang sasagot sa atin. Sa Juan 17:11 ganito po an gating mababasa, atin pong tunghayan muli…..

“At ngayon, ako’y papunta na sa iyo; iiwanan ko na ang sanlibutang ito, ngunit sila ay nasa sanlibutan pa. Amang banal ingatan mo sila sa pamamagitan ng kapangyarihan ng IYONG PANGALAN, ANG PANGALANG IBINIGAY MO SA AKIN, upang kung paanong ikaw at ako ay iisa, gayundin naman sila’y maging isa.”

Nakakabulag ang kanilang pag-HIGLIGHTS sa mga salitang "IYONG PANGALAN..." samantalang mas AKMA kung ang i-HIGHLIGHTS nila ay ang "KUNG PAANONG IKAW AT AKO AY IISA".

“At ngayon, ako’y papunta na sa iyo; iiwanan ko na ang sanlibutang ito, ngunit sila ay nasa sanlibutan pa. Amang banal ingatan mo sila sa pamamagitan ng kapangyarihan ng iyong pangalan, ang pangalang ibinigay mo sa akin,  upang KUNG PAANONG IKAW AT AKO AY IISA, gayundin naman sila’y maging isa.”

Dahil kung TANGGAP nilang ang AMA at si JESUS (ANAK) ay IISA, eh di DIOS din si CRISTO katulad ng AMA-- IISANG DIOS pa rin sa magkaibang PERSONA.

Yan ang pagpapatunay ng JUAN 1:1-5;13-14

Nang pasimula siya ang Verbo, at ang Verbo ay sumasa Dios, at ang Verbo ay Dios. 

Ito rin nang pasimula'y sumasa Dios. Ang lahat ng mga bagay ay ginawa sa pamamagitan niya; at alin man sa lahat ng ginawa ay hindi ginawa kung wala siya. Nasa kaniya ang buhay; at ang buhay ay siyang ilaw ng mga tao. At ang ilaw ay lumiliwanag sa kadiliman; at ito'y hindi napagunawa ng kadiliman.

At nagkatawang-tao ang Verbo, at tumahan sa gitna natin (at nakita namin ang kaniyang kaluwalhatian, kaluwalhatian gaya ng sa bugtong ng Ama), na puspos ng biyaya at katotohanan. 

See, VERY CONSISTENT ang Biblia.  Mula sa JUAN 1:1-5; 13-14, sa FILIPOS 2:3-11 iisa ang sinasabi:

Na si JESUS ang VERBO-- DIOS na nasa ANYONG TAO..."

At sa lahat ng mga MANLILINLANG sa KATOTOHANANG ito, may BABALA si San Juan (2 Jn 1:7):

Sapagka't maraming magdaraya na nangagsilitaw sa sanglibutan, sa makatuwid ay ang mga hindi nangagpapahayag na si Jesucristo ay napariritong nasa laman. Ito ang magdaraya at ang anticristo.

Marami raw ang mga MANDARAYANG magsisilitaw sa sanlibutan.

Sino sila?

Ang mga MANGANGARAL na HINDI TANGGAP si JESUCRISTONG DIOS na NAPARITO sa LAMAN!

Ano sila?

SILA ay mga MANDARAYA at mga ANTI-CRISTO!
