"The Christianity of history is not Protestantism. If ever there were a safe truth it is this, and Protestantism has ever felt it so; to be deep in history is to cease to be a Protestant." (-John Henry Newman, An Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine).

"Where the bishop is, there let the people gather; just as where ever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church". -St. Ignatius of Antioch (ca 110 AD)a martyr later thrown to the lions, wrote to a church in Asia Minor. Antioch was also where the term "Christian" was first used.

“But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth.” 1 Timothy 3:15

"This is the sole Church of Christ, which in the Creed we profess to be one, holy, catholic and apostolic." -CCC 811

Bulleted Facts About Felix Manalo, Founder of the Iglesia ni Cristo® (Registered Trademark)

Brief insight of Felix Manalo founder of the Iglesia Ni Cristo
Source: Monk's Hobbit
  • baptized a Catholic – learned the fundamentals of the Roman Catholic faith.
  • became a follower of the ”Colorum” spiriting sect in the Philippines
  • joined the Methodist Episcopalian Church, attended their Seminary and became a pastor.
  • began studying at the Presbyterian Bible School
  • came upon the Christian Mission group (Church of Christ), studied at the Manila College of the Bible for four years. received the idea of restoring the New Testament Church.
  • became a local evangelist in “Society for the propagation of the Gospel.
  • left the Christian Mission group converting to Seventh Day Adventism where he began to think of starting his own church.
  • Left Seventh Day Adventists, claimed to experience a call like the ancient prophets.
  • Closed himself in with his Bible for three days and began his mission to start a new church.
  • His study of religions and the Bible led him to conclusion that none of the existing churches then remained faithful with the biblical truth – that none of them is the true religion.
  • Like many others before him he has fallen into the trap since none are perfect by his own judgment he is to restore the true church.
  • In 1913 started his own group incorporated in 1914.
  • Brother Felix wandered into different religions always examining, in the light of scriptural truth, their various doctrines and religious practices”
  • In 1919 Manalo left the Philippines to learn more about religion to America, to study with Protestants, whom Iglesia later declare to be apostates. It is for this reason they do not disclose this information.
  • In California enrolled in the Pacific School of Religion.
  • Five years after being called by God to be his “last messenger???” he goes to the U.S. to learn from apostates? This does not make sense.
  • What could God’s messenger learn from a group that, according to Iglesia, had departed from the true faith?
  • Manalo did not believe himself to be God’s final messenger back in 1914. He didn’t use the last messenger doctrine until 1922.
  • Another factor of his adopting the messenger doctrine is in response to a schism in the Iglesia movement. Manalo appears to have developed the messenger doctrine in an effort to maintain and re-assert his leadership in the church thereby keeping control.
  • In the early days Manalo did not attack the deity of Christ.
  • After 1930 began to deny his pre-existence, his being the beginning in purpose with God.
  • Erano Manalo wrote a 64 page booklet attacking the Deity of Christ called Christ-God.
  • Began systematic campaign of attacking the Church and her doctrines he held from the apostles.
  • They attack by writing in their publications and public pronouncements, but when someone challenges their beliefs they are labeled as attackers of God’s (new) Church and considered unworthy to be noticed.
  • They continue to have a strong hold on their members and have no intention of reforming to become orthodox.

Iglesia ni Cristo-1914 (INC) Centennial Logo Explained

Below is an UNOFFICIAL explanation of INC's centennial celebration LOGO on 2014 A.D.from affodablecebu.com

In the logo, the torch represents the light of salvation (the words of God through the Iglesia Ni Cristo) which will enlighten the whole world.
Since the establishment of the Iglesia Ni Cristo in the Philippines in 1914, the members continue to fulfill their duties as lights of the world. They spread the good news (words of God) to the people and bring them closer to God and to the path of salvation.
To all Iglesia Ni Cristo members, happy centennial anniversary this year 2014. May God blesses the Church and the Administration!

Here is my explanation of their centennial logo:

Torch = The word "torch" was mentioned only 4 times in the Bible (at least in the KJV).  A lamp or latern is more appropriately Biblical than torch.  The symbol of torch in INC's Centennial Logo appears to be influenced by paganism.  This torch appears to be that of the Olympics which has originated from the ancient pagan Greece-- Olympia."Thy word is  LAMP unto my feet and a LIGHT unto my path." (Ps. 119:105)
Similar to this lamp is used during the Biblical times and is used as a symbolism of God's word (2 Pt. 1:19)-- not the torch.
In fact, the Catholic Church has been there from 33 AD to the present as a Light to all Nations-- more than the INC's claims.  The Catholic Church has been the guide of many souls to salvation, having many saints-- yet the INC of Manalo never had any saintly people-- less than Felix Manalo who was branded as a "MAN OF LOW MORALS" by the Court of Appeals when he was accused of raping many women in his church.

The Iglesia ni Cristo = The definitive article "The"  is an English article which is immediately followed by the Tagalog words "Iglesia ni Crsito" when one can consistently use the English words "Church of Christ" after the article.  Why can't they use with easiness the words "The Church of Christ"? It's because the LAW does not allow them!  The reason is because this church is Manalo's own founded Church in the Philippines. Accordingly the INC is an All Rights Reserved patented  Trademark.

(Church of Christ) = English translations of the words "Iglesia ni Cristo" just in case a non-Tagalog speaking person might not understand the Registered Trademarks.

1914 - 2014 = Years when Manalo's Church was founded in 1914 and now celebrating it's 100th year anniversary undermining the bigger reality that the original Church of Christ has been there before 1914 and still there in 2014.  The CHURCH is now moving to the THIRD MILLENNIUM.

Map of the World with the Philippines as it's highlights = It reflects the truth about the true Church of Jesus Christ which is now present in all corners of the world, different tongues, race, culture, tradition in One, Holy, Catholic Apostolic Church of Christ. The Filipino Church through Catholics around the world is now bringing Christianity to their host countries.  In many countries the "Simbang Gabi" (Dawn Mass) is now celebrated even by non-Filipinos around the world.  None of INC's celebrations is celebrated in any part of the world.  Truly Romans 16:16 says "all the churches of Christ" greet the Church of Rome! One has to wonder why a certain "Iglesia ni Cristo" in the Philippines REFUSED to send its greetings to the CHURCH of ROME?!

"Overseas Filipinos have spread Filipino culture the world over, and have brought Filipino Catholicism with them. Filipinos have established two shrines in the Chicago Metropolitan Area: one at St. Wenceslaus dedicated to Santo Niño de Cebú, as well as another at St. Hedwig's with its statue to Our Lady of Manaoag." - Wikipedia

Influence of Manalo's Church is never been felt in any part of the world!

Glory is given to buildings, colors, symbols, and 'inc"-- ultimately give praise to the founder

Have we got any answers for these pressing questions to the Iglesia ni Cristo of Felix Manalo?

What's in their LOGO?

What's the meaning of their FLAG?

What's the meaning of their 97th Year Anniversary Logo?

These are the new "baal" being worshiped-- buildings, symbols, colors, and the "inc" abbreviations. Yes, they do not have images of "saints" (Christian heroes) but their buildings, logos, symbols, tri-color and their registered name are their new gods being worshiped.

Those abbreviations "inc" is another form of marketing their registered trademarks.

That symbol, what does it mean?

Those "crescents" tri-color, what do the mean?

The color, the number, the registered name in tagalog "Iglesia ni Cristo"-- a form of a "god"?

Or you mean "Iglesia ni Cristo-Church of Christ" by Felix Manalo?

The Green, White and Red, what does it mean?

"inc"?
